I went ahead and corrected your formatting for this AFD. Your rationale seems sound; I left it alone and just tinkered with the formatting. I also listed it at the AFD log, so that it will show up on the list of debates. In that way, other editors who might not care about Jesters themselves but who review AFDs can come and give their opinion on this debate. If you have any questions about what I did or why, please leave me a note on my talk page. Thanks! UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 12:44, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

Hello, I'm SQGibbon. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Jester, but you didn't provide a reliable source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. SQGibbon (talk) 16:55, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of jugglers, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Alex Barron and Steve Mills (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Jester/Fools

Hi, I wonder if I could ask your advice, please? I noticed that you keep an eye on the Jester article and you mentioned on the talk page about possibly doing an article on 'Fools' so thought you might be the best person to ask! I've been playing around with an article for Jamie Fleeman, the Laird of Udny's Fool and he is frequently described as the "last family jester in Scotland". I think the article is getting near ready to be moved from my draft to main space. Do you feel it would be appropriate to include a link under the 'Notable jesters' section of the Jester article? SagaciousPhil - Chat 09:50, 26 September 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for such a fast response! I've moved it to main space and added it to jester and the list of Jesters as well - now I'll see if I can come up with a DYK hook for it. SagaciousPhil - Chat 18:25, 26 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi. I have opened a discussion regarding the wording of the introduction of the Kingdom of Great Britain article where the partition of Ireland is mentioned. We discussed this a few months ago, and agreed on the current wording however I don't think it's accurate. I would appreciate your input. Regards, Rob (talk) 19:27, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/List of Clock Towers, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 02:10, 10 January 2014 (UTC)

Hello Robynthehode. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "List of Clock Towers".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/List of Clock Towers}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 20:01, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

Washington Monument

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you on this discussion. You may be right about how the Washington Monument isn't the tallest obelisk in the world and I know that Wikipedia shouldn't be used as a reference itself, however Wikipedia shouldn't contradict itself or be redundant. Giving two different facts on the same topic in an encyclopedia isn't right. It needs to be either one or the other. And the San Jacinto Monument article names it as a column. So there are some really contradicting articles here and I want to get this right. Leoesb1032 (talk) 16:30, 29 August 2014 (UTC)

Dan Bahat

Robyn, I hoped this could be avoided. There is a system introduced by Wikipedia where a term of larger interest, which does not have an article yet (no contradiction there, it happens a lot), is introduced nevertheless and it appears in red, signalling that it needs to be addressed. This system usually works, somebody sees it, "What, no article yet?!", takes the time and deals with it. The more "red flags", the more likely it is to happen. It is part of Wikipedia. On the very page you keep on stubbornly deleting this tiny detail, there are two more "red flags" which don't seem to bother you - and rightfully so (the Great Stele of Axum and the Jupiter temple of Baalbek). I hope I didn't give you any wrong ideas now, Axum and Baalbek are great places :-) Usually people older than 16-17-18 learn that they don't possess all wisdom. That truth isn't black and white. That you can have the last word and look silly, or let go and look smart. That your explanation "It hasn't got an article, so I remove it" doesn't stand up to ration. Often you can either have the last word, or be mature. It's all yours from here on. PS: Not all "terms" are juggling clubs or stone monoliths. Dan Bahat is a HIGHLY regarded, accomplished, kind and relatively old person. He deserves to be popularized, professionally for sure and otherwise also. I've made the same intervention on a dozen other pages in more prominent places than the list of references on an overview list on monoliths. Nobody else removed him. Draw your own conclusions. "Online" can be very real, not at all "virtual". Have a good year, Arminden (talk) 13:05, 6 January 2015 (UTC)Arminden

Yes you are right. No limits on Wikilinks. Was doing a clear out on various articles of external links which were dead, incorrect or promotional and I was too keen. However a list a manufacturers is not very informative without a link at all. Maybe those that aren't Wikilinked should go -Robynthehode (talk) 17:58, 23 January 2015 (UTC)

Yes, I agree with you about the list items that do not link to a separate article. That is the criteria in the List of bicycle brands and manufacturing companies and Tandem bicycle articles. -AndrewDressel (talk) 19:32, 23 January 2015 (UTC)

You must be mistaken

I did not try to "change the title" of the pages. You see, there is two ways to write the full titles. Star Wars Episode X: Subtitle and Star Wars: Episode X - Subtitle. Eric - Contact me please. I prefer conversations started on my talk page if the subject is changed 19:28, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

Hello. You've been here for about 6 years, but you only have a mere 758 edits, of which 625 are to articles. I've been here for 11 years, and I have over 118,000 article edits. I suggest that you don't really know what the fuck you're doing, and what your're getting involved in, and that with my moving of the disputed sentence to another section, away from the "one-man-band" paragraph, that it would be best for you call it a victory and move along.

If not, so be it. BMK (talk) 08:01, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you.

Please see WP:AN3#User:Robynthehode and User:Beyond My Ken reported by User:Lugnuts (Result: Two parties warned) which includes a warning to both of you. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 01:57, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
For what it's worth, I entirely sympathise with you. You have been bullied by a long-term editor who should know much, much better and who is enjoying a kind of immunity that many other editors never see. The gratuitous and overt personal attacks on you were something that many editors would be blocked for, and it's an interesting insight into his behaviour that, once warned by a couple of people, and despite his "eleven years" of experience here, he suddenly redacted his abuse. He has spent a long time criticising me for being "a jerk" and "one of the worst admins on Wikipedia" but I'm proud to say that I have never stooped to his gutter-level of personal attacks and indignation. I hope you aren't entirely put off by the experience, needless to say you should feel encouraged to continue to work here collaboratively, and not be dissuaded by the few bad apples. All the best. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:05, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
Hello Robynthehode. This is a reply to your comment at the edit warring board. There is no implication that you are a bad editor, though you made more than three reverts. That is is against the rules. Since admin actions should be even-handed, we need to point out the problems with your edits as well as with BMK's. Per WP:NOTTHEM another editor's misbehavior doesn't get you off the hook. We'll be expecting both you and BMK to follow the edit warring rules in the future. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 21:46, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

Skyscraper merge proposals

It is not appropriate to use revert on a good faith edit WP:REVERT. There has been an open topic on the talk page to gather feedback on this merge proposal as per WP:MERGE. That would be the place to comment. There is an extensive Afd discussion on one of the articles that will give some background to the proposal. By way of disclosure, I have no affiliation with either website, only passing involvement as an editor in the articles and topic area. Wiki-psyc (talk) 20:53, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

The talk page section has not reached consensus for the merge. I will comment there but have reverted your edit because it does not add anything to the article and in parts adds unimportant detail Robynthehode (talk) 21:27, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

"Did the 'Irish' really arrive with the Anglo Saxons. Were they a distinct people?" They arrived a little earlier than the Anglo-Saxons, which is why they Anglo-Saxons were invited to Britain in the first place. Yes they were and are a distinct people. My apologies

I meant to revert only your edit in the "Climate" section of mountain range with this edit; I also got your edits confused with the one immediately before yours, which had added a hatnote about massif. I reinstated the good part of your edit, and I apologize for the minor mess.— Gorthian (talk) 18:05, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for your message. I won't change the article again as we will need to discuss this but I still believe 'climate' is the wrong terminology. See the Wikipedia article on Climate. The way the section in the mountain range article about climate is written seems to be talking about weather not climate. Robynthehode (talk) 06:59, 9 March 2016 (UTC)

Hi, could you possibly please reply at Talk:List of future tallest buildings in the world? I don't get what are the criteria for list inclusion, hence your edits about Azerbaijan and now also Morocco buildings. I assume the criteria have been well-discussed and defined by consensus somewhere, but the Talk page does not reflect that. Thanks for your attention! --doncram 22:00, 19 March 2016 (UTC)

Darth Fener

I wonder why you removed my contribution to the page Darth Vader. Maybe the information should go in some other part of page, but it is not true that it is not relevant. In fact, many America people are confused when they heard of "Darth Fener" because they do not know where it originates. They think is a character of a spin-off of the series. It is not. So, I think it should be added somewhere in that page. It is relevant to that character anyway.--Dejudicibus (talk) 18:57, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

List of tallest structures in the world by country

I don't believe you actually checked what changes I have made to the page List of tallest structures in the world by country. They included expanding several of the sections, removing buildings that were under construction and under 100m, and removing tables so that the article was consistently formatted. I have contacted User:Hexafluoride and requested the assistance of an administrator. You ought to have responded to the concerns (now several) on the Talk:List of tallest structures in the world by country before making these changes. Hayek79 (talk) 15:20, 11 July 2016 (UTC)

Truth revert

How do you propose to deal with the problem I alluded to in the edit reason for the edit you reverted? — Charles Stewart (talk) 21:25, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for your message. No problem with sources but the source you used seemed to be unreliable because it was a Q & A website and you used an aggregate from this source to support your argument. This aggregate also seemed to be original research (not allowed in Wikipedia) rather than a direct citation. Robynthehode (talk) 06:31, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

It seems to me that a source that would not normally meet the standards of RS is better than no source at all, when the claim being supported would stand without a source, as the claim did before. — Charles Stewart (talk) 13:42, 3 April 2017 (UTC)

No, actually she completed filming on The Last Jedi, which is now in post-production. Episode 9 is still in pre-production, and filming has not yet commenced. Hello its me Jvngkook (talk) 07:02, 14 November 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for the anectode

Apparently, we need a source for something like this. We should look for sources for things such as date for example, what people actually say... not for something like that.

What is unnecessary usually come at the expense of what actually is critical and important. A system should never promote the appearance of method and professionalism instead of actual real quality.

Probably, you won't agree so what can I say. Keep up your work. Bye.--Alexmar983 (talk) 08:23, 23 November 2017 (UTC)

ANI Experiences survey

The Wikimedia Foundation Community health initiative (led by the Safety and Support and Anti-Harassment Tools team) is conducting a survey for en.wikipedia contributors on their experience and satisfaction level with the Administrator’s Noticeboard/Incidents. This survey will be integral to gathering information about how this noticeboard works - which problems it deals with well, and which problems it struggles with.

The survey should take 10-20 minutes to answer, and your individual responses will not be made public. The survey is delivered through Google Forms. The privacy policy for the survey describes how and when Wikimedia collects, uses, and shares the information we receive from survey participants and can be found here:

If you would like to take this survey, please sign up on this page, and a link for the survey will be mailed to you via Special:Emailuser.

Please be aware this survey will close Friday, Dec. 8 at 23:00 UTC.

The changes I made previously had already fixed the problem - WP:SOFIXIT was a description of the changes I made. It showed up as an undo because I used undo, then changed the citation before publishing. Now, I don't have a page number, since I don't currently have access to the Bodleian (opening hours). However, the content the new user added was not on the referenced wikipedia page, and it was fairly clear to me that they were citing the book, but unfamiliar with Wikipedia. My content on pseudo science

my addition to pseudoscience was constructive. I added to the list Evolution is pseudoscience, it is a scientific theory that is not proven, just like creation. So just because you are biased and believe in the evolution theory does not mean you should remove my content (which is in-fact "not constructive") please get back to me --The Rightful Judge (talk) 07:56, 22 February 2018 (UTC)

Australia (continent)

In the continent infobox, I added Ashmore and Cartier Islands as a dependency within the continent of Australia, to go along with the 3 countries in the continent (Australia, Papua New Guinea, and part of Indonesia). This was to parallel the infoboxes in other continent articles. For example, Africa lists 54-56 countries and 7 dependencies; Asia lists 49-55 countries and 6 dependencies (note that Christmas Island and Cocos (Keeling) Islands are considered to be within Asia); and similarly for Europe, North America, and South America. I think Ashmore and Cartier Islands are clearly within the continent of Australia. I'm not sure about the Coral Sea Islands since they are not on the continental shelf (Sahul Shelf). Behe

The neutrality in that article is very poor. Should this be an encyclopedia or a page for criticism of Behe's own views? Don't undo what I've done. I appreciate it. DizzinessOfFreedom (talk) 19:27, 25 April 2018 (UTC)

Rollback granted

Hi Robynthehode. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! —Tom Morris (talk) 12:47, 30 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi Robyn. The vandal of Jeddah Tower may have used a different ISP last April 2018, but it is the same style. Kindly protect the page. Thanks. Titus III (talk) 16:34, 28 September 2018 (UTC)

About Ping An Finance Centre

Since there is no information about the height of the Ping An Finance Centre's observation deck, I added a new source of the height of the observation deck. If you have any questions about this edit. Please leave a message on my talk page or Ping An Finance Centre's talk page. (Sorry for my bad English~) Message sent by QBYQ7 —Preceding undated comment added 11:58, 9 October 2018 (UTC)

Youth flame

Thanks for removing Tineretului statue (Youth Flame) from the List of tallest statues article. I opened a section in the talk page about this, because the artist intended the statue to represent a human form, but I'm an abstract way. I don't feel strongly either way, but would you mind sharing your comments so a consensus can be reached? If you have ideas about how to specify this in the inclusion criteria, that would be appreciated too. Cheers Hadron137 (talk) 20:27, 18 October 2018 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Robin Hood (2018 film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Guardian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Zarafara Wind Farm

Perhaps you should take more time and read the paper carefully, especially section

III. CASE STUDY: ZAFARANA WIND POWER FARM
The Zafarana wind farm project is located in Egypt,
approximately 190 Km Southeast of Cairo. The average annual
wind speed is about 9.5 m/s. There are many projects have
been constructed in different stages since 2001. The projects
are named Zafarana-1 (30 MW- 50 WTs- 600 KW), Zafarana-2
(33 MW- 55 WTs- 600 KW), Zafarana-3 (30 MW- 46 WTs-
660 KW), Zafarana-4 (47 MW- 71 WTs- 660 KW), Zafarana-5
(85 MW- 100 WTs- 850 KW) and Zafarana-6 (80 MW-
94WTs- 850 KW) as shown in Fig. 4. In 2010, the wind farm
total installed capacity was 545 MW, which includes 700 wind
turbines from different models (Nordex, Vestas, and Gamesa)
[11] [17-18]. The Zafarana-1 project has been considered as a
case study in this work.

Meanwhile, while I am preparing the full article on that wind farm here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Michael_Cieslik/Zafarana_wind_farm , can you now please undo the delete of my changes on wind farms? Thanks! Michael Cieslik (talk) 20:42, 16 December 2018 (UTC)

List of jugglers

Hi Robynthehode, thanks for the clarification, though i feel that the sentence needs clarification as to exactly what is meant. At first read it is confusing. How about something along the lines of; "holds numerous juggling world records related to number of items juggled, considered by many to be the world's greatest juggler. --? Both the Gatto & Lucas description sentences, to me, seem to require explanatory extension. Neils51 (talk) 10:43, 1 January 2019 (UTC)

Stop your edit warring on Statue of Unity. Makes no sense that you are ignoring Wikipedia:Criticism#"Controversy"_section by writing a "controversy" section after moving much content from the article itself. 39.49.103.192 (talk) 21:29, 27 January 2019 (UTC)

Added Unsourced Content

Hello Robynthehode,

I think you erred in sending me this message about my edit to the musical theatre page; all I did was add a space between two musical titles, thereby fixing a typo. I'm not sure where a source would be needed. Thank you, Packer1028 (talk) 21:43, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

Iconic Tower

Hello Robynthehode, Iconic Tower is not visionary skyscraper, it's already under construction as of April 2019 and will be completely finished in late 2021. It was approved by the prime minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina and Dhaka City Corporation on 2017. Then how is it still visionary? [1]

Persistent Vandalism

Hi, I've noticed you reverted my accurate edit at The Terminator. If you have a doubt regarding why action should be listed, you should first check the credibility of the sources attached. I'm not trying to force an opinion, but facts are facts that it's an action film first and action covers most of the duration of the film. There is no point in taking it to the talk page because the editor who started this has everything set up along with his friends who always side with what he says. Another user like me had a debate over the right genre but they simply shut him up.

And also,

Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. (125.99.216.90 (talk) 10:47, 8 April 2019 (UTC))

Regarding your having reverted my edit

You just reverted an edit I made to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Red_Pill.

It's very seldom that I edit Wikipedia. Years ago I read the "5 Pillars of Wikipedia" article, but other than that I'm unfamiliar with how governance works on Wikipedia. So I need to ask a preliminary question first, before I ask my main questions.

Preliminary question: I don't know what roles Wikipedia provides for those who read and or edit articles. So, I don't know if you have some formal role regarding editing Wikipedia, or if you're simply another user like I am. Do you have some official role?

Main questions: When you reverted my edit, you added the comment, "Rotten Tomato audience ratings are not reliable. This is accepted across Wikipedia".

1. Is this an official Wikipedia rule? If so, is there an article like the "5 Pillars" article that specifies that Rotten Tomatoes Audience Scores are not permitted? And where can I find it?

2. What is the evidence to support your claim that "Rotten Tomato audience ratings are not reliable"?

3. When you say, "This is accepted across Wikipedia", it makes it sound like it's a convention rather than a formal rule. Is it? And again, what's your evidence that to support the claim?

Thanks for your comments and queries and for not immediately reverting my edit or yours (you'd be surprised how many editors do that). I will answer your queries in turn. However please be aware that the best place for these discussions is on the article talk page so all editors can see them.

1. There are no 'rules' in Wikipedia. All 'guidelines' are created by consensus. Having said that consensus decisions do become firm guidelines that (until successfully challenged by consensus) editors are expected to abide by. So the place to see the rule about Rotten Tomatoes audience scores is WP:UGC 2. The evidence is that the reviews are user generated. Any user generated content on a website is inherently unreliable (although it may accord with reliable sources WP:RS). Other user generated content not allowed is IMDB, personal blogs, almost all 'wikis' and even Wikipedia itself 3. I think I have explained this above

I have no formal role in editing Wikipedia. In fact no editor is above any other editor in deciding what content is included in Wikipedia. Decisions are made by consensus with editors following the 'rules'. There are administrators and others who act as mediators but no content editor makes final decisions. Please read this links they may be helpful WP:5P, WP:V, WP:BRD, and WP:HEP

Hope this helps Robynthehode (talk) 08:58, 29 October 2019 (UTC)

Obviousness

In English-speaking countries, North and South America are considered separate continents.

That is what I put on an article. It is not something obvious, the English Wikipedia is the most read Wikipedia worldwide. It is not only read by people from English speaking countries. So this produces ambiguity for those people, which they are rarely aware. So, it is not something obvious. LyonnaisLozannais (talk) 13:33, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

About Contortion

The editor who added the content is a sock who has been promoting this person for many years. The reason for reversion is Wikipedia:Blocking_policy#Edits_by_and_on_behalf_of_blocked_editors. This contortionist has been spammed for many years (see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/VRAJESH SHAH) and is not notable. They won't be getting a page soon, as the title has been salted indef for around 2 years. Therefore, they shouldn't really be in "List of notable contortionists".
