Information icon Hello, I'm Tommi1986. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Tom Latham (cricketer), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Tommi1986 let's talk! 10:16, 28 December 2022 (UTC)

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Devon Conway. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 10:36, 28 December 2022 (UTC)

My motive was not to do vandalism. That was a mistake, which I did unwillingly. Later, I rectified it immediately. But you removed my useful edits as well. RoboCric (talk) 10:41, 28 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2022–23 Super Smash (men's cricket), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nathan Smith. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:10, 6 January 2023 (UTC)

Player lists

Hi - If adding new players to player lists, please leave the stats empty. Don't add "1" appearance for example, as it is not correct as of the "last updated" (they had not played a game as of that date. Unless updating the table in full of course. Bs1jac (talk) 21:56, 5 April 2023 (UTC)

Okay, I will follow it from the next time. Thanks. RoboCric (talk) 05:31, 6 April 2023 (UTC)

Hello RoboCric, hope you are doing well. I have been an editor on Wikipedia for the past 12 years and I had just created this article a few minutes ago. This article is about the the final of one of the most popular sports event in the world which is the Cricket World Cup. Moreover, this article is not about a future sports event which will take place 4-5 years from now, but in just a few months. I am also in the process of making major addition and changes to it and I had specifically added a template for that. I would sincerely request you and be very thankful if you could withdraw this deletion discussion request from your side so that I can continue in editing and in improving the article further. Thank you. TheGeneralUser (talk) 16:19, 12 April 2023 (UTC)

Hello RoboCric, I would like to let you know that I have myself redirected the article I created to the main article 2023 Cricket World Cup. As I had mentioned before, I had only intended to create this article for the benefit of the readers and the encyclopedia, but I can completely understand the point of view given by you and other editors. . My primary purpose has always been to improve the encyclopedia. Hence, the deletion discussion can be closed as required by any closer, so that everyone else can go ahead and spend time in doing the most important thing which is to improve other articles and Wikipedia in general as well. Thank you. TheGeneralUser (talk) 15:47, 13 April 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Draft:Chop Hup Chong

Hello RoboCric, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Draft:Chop Hup Chong, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguously promotional. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 15:57, 26 April 2023 (UTC)

Luco van der Walt moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Luco van der Walt, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 10:10, 28 April 2023 (UTC)

Regarding Draft:Kendel Kadowaki-fleming

i don't understand how it fails to meet Wikipedia:NCRIC, when there a lot of pages of non-test players. Enough references are provided to the article including the statistics and the competition the player has played in. Cric editor (talk) 09:57, 27 September 2023 (UTC)

For a non-test player, he will only qualify as an article if the player has played any ODI/T20I match for a full member team. Additionally, it is presumed that players playing in ODI/T20I matches or domestic competitions listed in WP:OFFCRIC may have sufficient coverage to meet notability. Unfortunately, your draft doesn't meet any of the criteria. Thanks. RoboCric Let's chat 10:05, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
@Cric editor Definitely not close to meeting notability criteria. Stat links are not relevant. Needs detailed articles about the individual in reputable news sources. There are some examples of associate players from a few years ago who do not meet the latest criteria, but stanadards apply to all new entries. Bs1jac (talk) 09:54, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

About recent comment

Hi @RoboCric, thank you for your review of the article of Draft:Kosuke Sogo. Just wanted to clarify your comment "The sources do not contain independent coverage about the person."

I've checked the article Wikipedia:Independent sources, but missed to see any of the sources not being independent from the person. Would you be able to point me in the right direction?

Thank you so much! Chrisluzw (talk) 07:13, 15 December 2023 (UTC)

Not enough sources directly speaking about the person. Please read WP:GNG and WP:BIO. RoboCric Let's chat 07:23, 15 December 2023 (UTC)

National Super League

Hi, National Super League is a provincial tournament. Colombo, Kandy, Galle are SLC established teams. These teams therefore not related to first class clubs. Therefore linking them to those clubs is wrong. Readers might get the wrong idea. Chanaka L (talk) 02:51, 25 March 2024 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted

Hi RoboCric, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Schwede66 21:53, 7 April 2024 (UTC)

@Schwede66, Thank you for granting. Well, per your above message, would you mind giving me the NPR rights now? I want to reduce the backlog of unreviewed sports articles. Unilateral redirects

Hello. You have blanked and redirected my pages for Florrie Copley and Scott Simpson without going through the discussion process. Shrug02 (talk) 07:06, 27 June 2024 (UTC)

@Shrug02 I was patrolling the pages and redirected the pages as those don't meet the notability criteria- WP:GNG and WP:NCRIC. New page reviewers have the right to do so unless it was challenged in the past. As you said about discussion, if you wanna challenge my decision, then you can by removing the redirect. In that case, I will nominate it for deletion and I'm pretty sure that it will again gonna be redirected after discussion. RoboCric Let's chat 08:04, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
Thank you. In the past I have received a message from the reviewer before such action is taken and it has always gone to discussion hence my alarm. I accept the Scot Simpson page may be on the borderline at the moment but he has just got into the jersey team and is set to play in the world cup qualifiers. Florrie Copley is of significance to Jersey cricket due to her unique position of playing both the first T20 women's international and the first inter-insular match. She is mentioned quite a lot in the sources I used. As I hope you can appreciate on a place as small as Jersey media is limited. Thank you for your reply. Shrug02 (talk) 08:09, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
