Hi RobSVA. Welcome to Wikipedia! For me, HotCat allows me to quickly add categories to articles without physically editing the typing the entire category in. I found the article by searching thru recent new articles. As for how the page was categorized on the talk page, I'm not sure what criteria is used to define it. I know it can be changed as the article is improved. Let me know if you have anymore questions! Patken4 (talk) 16:57, 21 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Patken4, thanks! So do you have a particular interest in particular categories? or in all categories? RobSVA (talk) 23:18, 21 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

On the one hand, I thought that your draft was almost ready for acceptance. On the other hand, User:Swister Twister has declined it. My advice about the decline is to ask for the input of other experienced editors at WP:Teahouse/Questions. My comment had to do with disambiguation. There are multiple people named Thomas Carroll, and there is a disambiguation list of these people. When your article is accepted, please add him to that list. Robert McClenon () 19:53, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Robert McClenon, talkI'm not sure if you'll get a notice about this. Many thanks! Now I understand your comment. I will indeed handle the disambiguation. I'm pleased that you thought that my draft was almost ready. You're recommending that I go to the editors at WP:Teahouse/Questions as opposed to negotiating directly with the person who declined it? (this is only my second article so I'm learning about how everything works at Wiki). Thanks again. RobSVA (talk) 21:56, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
My own recommendation is to ask about declines at the Teahouse so as to get comments from other experienced editors. For instance, if I have declined an article, but other editors disagree, they can persuade me that I should have accepted it (or one of them can accept it). That is my approach. But you could instead just ask User:Swister Twister. Robert McClenon (talk) 22:44, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas J. Carroll

[edit]

Hi, I've accepted the draft and it is now available in the main article space at Thomas J. Carroll. If you're up for it, the draft could use a little more cleanup. In particular, there is some WP:CITEKILL in three or four spots in the draft; usually one or two sources will do per sentence. This can be fixed by spacing out the references so they appear after the particular sentence they refer to, not just at the end of the paragraph. (For example, in the "U.S. liturgical movement" section, there are seven references at the end of the paragraph, but they could be spaced out through the paragraph so they appear after the sentence they are referencing.) Does that make sense? Congratulations on the acceptance, and thanks for your contributions! /wia🎄/tlk 03:56, 15 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
