Giorgio Blais moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Giorgio Blais, is not suitable as written to remain published. While you've provide a plethora of sources, all but one of them do not have enough information to meet WP:VERIFY. Please see WP:CIT as to what information is needed to meet that criteria. In addition, please see WP:CITEBOMB.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. An article you recently created, Gresham Life Assurance Society, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Since we are talking about a british historical company, I felt as a duty to translate the page from italian https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gresham_Life_Assurance On top of it I've added information from this french page https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palais_Gresham I think that without the help of other fellow wikipedians I will not be able to improve this draft for the time being. Rergards --Ricercastorica (talk) 09:27, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ricercastorica, thank you for translating the page. The difficulty with translating articles from other wikis, other than the translation itself, is that many other wikis do not have the same standards. The single source in the article is simple listing which, while showing that the company existed, does not show it's notability. I do think this company may be notable, but finding sources may be difficult. WP has a policy called WP:VERIFY, and currently there simply isn't enough in the single ref to verify the article's content. Onel5969 TT me 10:55, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
