Speedy deletion nomination of Gatekeeping (UK housing term)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Gatekeeping (UK housing term), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Proposed deletion of Flexible Support Fund
[edit]The article Flexible Support Fund has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Seems to fail WP:GNG. Focuses quite a but on a controversy- perhaps WP:NPOV issues. One source is closely related to the subject. The other is the daily mirror, frowned upon per WP:PUS.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Godsy(TALKCONT) 03:24, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

I was going to amend my comment in the deletion discussion, by suggesting to Userfy this to your userspace, but I didn't get to do so in time. As this has been kept, I thought this source might be useful:
- https://books.google.com/books?id=L9sGBAAAQBAJ Connecting People with Jobs Activation Policies in the United Kingdom
You should be able to view that book for free, just search "Flexible Support Fund" in the Search in this Book box to view to the relevant information.
I'll try to keep an eye on the article. I might be willing to pitch in (though as an American my knowledge is limited about the welfare system in the UK), if you need any assistance with it, let me know.
Best Regards, —Godsy(TALKCONT) 05:41, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

Please help me with... Is it possible to put two images into an infbox. I am trying to add the English language and Welsh language logos to the Citizens Advice infobox. I suppose I could make a JPG of both of them but is there a quicker way? DanielJCooper (talk) 21:52, 31 October 2015 (UTC)
- Unfortunately I don't think there's a quicker way. However, since https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/wales/ uses the English, not the Welsh, logo, and even https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/cymraeg/ still shows English while also giving the Welsh translation, I don't think there's a need to display the Welsh logo in the infobox. In fact I rather wonder why Welsh is mentioned quite as prominently in the lead as it is for a national organization that doesn't seem to have a special relationship with Wales. The article Gillian Guy has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. File permission problem with File:Advising At Citizens Advice.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Advising At Citizens Advice.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The article Jacqueline Patorni has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references.
Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. PamD 15:02, 23 July 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of George Ye
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on George Ye requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Orphaned non-free image File:Family Mosaic.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Family Mosaic.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:40, 2 January 2017 (UTC)

DYK for Zionism in the Age of the Dictators
[edit]On 10 February 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Zionism in the Age of the Dictators, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Zionism in the Age of the Dictators. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Zionism in the Age of the Dictators), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
