[edit]Hello, I'm RockMagnetist. Your recent edit to the page Physical constant appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. RockMagnetist (talk) 23:23, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
Sorry dude...
[edit]... but your physics is excrement. is dimensionless and c does not '"have a different value in a frame of reference moving relative to the home frame and is dependent on the relative speed"' and there is no notion of '"home frame"' in current physics. Please leave crackpottery out of Wikipedia. 70.109.185.7 (talk) 17:05, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
Removal of all my edits by uninformed editors.
[edit]- I cannot find any valid reasons for disallowing my edits (except for the invalid citation) in any of their comments; they all seem to be matters of opinion based on some theory or another rather than laws of physics so are not valid.
- I intend to change the citation to one at Physics Essays, which I hope is more acceptable, and to rewrite some of the proposed text. I guess this a case of using the Sandbox to discuss my changes. For that purpose I will shortly make use of the sandbox to show my proposed changes for discussion purposes.
- The latest uncivil, offensive comment from an IP address is surely from a person with a POV problem and should not have been published, in my opinion. Should it be reported to someone or somewhere at Wiki?
Relativityman (talk) 00:06, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
- I agree that the comment violates the policy of Civility and is unacceptable. Have a look at Dealing with incivility. RockMagnetist (talk) 01:41, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
- As for the reasons for reverting your edits, not much effort has gone into the edit summaries because some of your comments are obviously wrong and contradict the body of the article. For example, Physical constant#Dimensional and dimensionless physical constants gives examples of dimensionless constants (how can you argue that the ratio of two masses has a physical dimension?); and the title of Physical constant#How constant are the physical constants? is self-explanatory. Before making any more edits, you should read these sections carefully. If you think some of the information is wrong, you should consider editing those sections. Don't start with the lead, which is supposed to be a summary of the article (see Manual of Style/Lead section). RockMagnetist (talk) 14:25, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
Indent
[edit]I notice the indent feature with :::: colons doesn't work. Relativityman (talk) 23:41, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
- Works for me. RockMagnetist (talk) 14:41, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
