Peer Review

[edit]

I did a peer review of your sandbox article for class.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that Exploitation of Women in Mass Media, a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It appears to be a test page. (See section G2 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
  • It is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. (See section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:Iheartboobswiki.webp

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Iheartboobswiki.webp. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 21:45, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Iheartboobswiki.webp

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Iheartboobswiki.webp. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 02:12, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

POV editing

[edit]

Wikipedia, as an encyclopedia and tertiary source, tries to summarize human knowledge neutrally. Where there is disagreement between reliable sources, it gives due weight to them in proportion to an idea's acceptance among experts or scholars. The drafts you have written are more like essays than encyclopedia articles because their purpose is to argue for one viewpoint. I have read Exploitation of women in society and can point out any flaws if you will ask me.

I recommend that you merge the article into another article. Sexism is an obvious suggestion. I'm not entirely sure; you can ask at the talk page WikiProject Feminism. Right now, I predict that your article will be deleted via a Deletion discussion. There's nothing you can really do to stop that; even if you remove all the essay-like bits, it's still an unnecessary fork that overlaps with our sexism article.

Thank you, Wikinights (talk) 05:42, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
