Hello Rashid718,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Qari Syed Fasih uddin soharwardy, may be copied from http://syedfasihuddinsoharwardy.com/profile-allama-riaz-uddin-soharwardy/profile-syed-fasih-uddin-soharwardy. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 21:35, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Qari Syed Fasih uddin soharwardy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. smileguy91talk 22:54, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Qari Syed Fasih uddin soharwardy, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). As a copyright violation, Qari Syed Fasih uddin soharwardy appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Qari Syed Fasih uddin soharwardy has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Wikipedia cannot hold copyright material, not even in sandboxes or user pages, not even temporarily. Please read Wikipedia:Copy-paste.

Please note that assertion of permission to use text is not enough; we have to be certain that the person giving a release has the authority to do so, and that the actual copyright holder understands and agrees to Wikipedia's license terms, which allow any reader to copy, modify and re-use material for any purpose including commercial. For those reasons, a formal copyright release, as described above, is required.

It is very seldom worth making a copyright release, because the promotional tone of a company or personal website is likely to be quite unsuitable for an encyclopedia article, which requires a neutral point of view. Wikipedia is not a notice-board for pinning up promotional material.

Article subjects need to have notability, which is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." There is more detail at WP:Notability (people), and good advice on how to write an acceptable article at WP:Your first article.

If you are connected to the subject of the article, please read the guideline on WP:Conflict of interest. JohnCD (talk) 23:49, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
