[edit]Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to John F. Kennedy, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Your edit, which also removed a reference, can be seen here. If the information was incorrect, please use an edit summary in the future. — MrDolomite • Talk 05:55, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- My apologies. The website http://www2.lse.ac.uk/intranet/LSEServices/divisionsAndDepartments/ERD/pressAndInformationOffice/LSEFacts/worldLeaders.aspx did not do a good job of making it quick and easy to see who actually graduated vs who merely attended from that vast list. — MrDolomite • Talk 06:26, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
Your edits
[edit](1) Please quit marking all of your edits as minor. If you have accidentally activated this feature, please click on the "preferences" link, go to the "editing" tab, and uncheck "mark all of my edits minor by default". Minor edits are only for spelling corrections, formatting fixes, vandalism reverts, and the like. (2) It is wholly inappropriate to refer to someone as a "bastard" in an article. The correct term is "illegitimate" and even then, it certainly is not appropriate for the infobox, nor is calling his alma mater "high school dropout". Wikipedia has a very high standard for biographies of living persons and articles are not a forum for attacking people you do not like. If you add inappropriate content to BLPs, your account will be blocked. --B (talk) 21:22, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- Also, please consider this notice that all articles relating to Sarah Palin, broadly construed, are subject to a community article probation. Any editor who is disruptive may be sanctioned through various prescribed measures. Please read Talk:Sarah Palin/Article probation for more information. --B (talk) 21:36, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Please stop changing Carte Goodwin article term date
[edit]Please refer to the discussion on the article's talk page. Consensus and precedent is that the oath date does not equal when they take office. The official chronology list is the document we have used to determine when a senator's service in the Senate starts, since it describes both their ranking in terms of seniority and their length of service. Please take any future disputes to the articles talk page for discussion.DCmacnut<> 21:25, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Carte Goodwin has been reverted, as it appears to introduce incorrect information. Please do not intentionally add incorrect information to articles. All information in this encyclopedia must be verifiable in a reliable, published source. If you believe the information that you added was correct, please cite the references or sources or before making the changes, discuss them on the article's talk page. Please use the sandbox for testing. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Gage (talk) 22:52, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Miranda-cosgrove-teen-vogue-photos.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Miranda-cosgrove-teen-vogue-photos.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 21:45, 25 November 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Confession0791 talk 21:45, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Miranda-cosgrove-icarly-hot-room-18.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Miranda-cosgrove-icarly-hot-room-18.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 01:03, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Formality in names
[edit]It seems that you have an interest in expressing names in their most formal version. This is not always a good thing, as people are not always known but their full formal name. Also, when changing links, be aware that people, like Joseph R. Biden, Jr have their article under Joe Biden, so don't change the link, but pipe instead. You might want to read Wikipedia:Naming conventions (people), and some of your changes probably ought to be discussed on the talk page first to achieve consensus before being too bold. --Bejnar (talk) 21:33, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Edwin M Lee Official.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Edwin M Lee Official.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:
- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. —Chris!c/t 03:05, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Pannetta
[edit]Stop having a fit, type normally and sign your posts. The links are unnecessary. It doesn't matter if you "worked hard", it matters if they add to the article. Which they don't. I have no idea where you're getting the idea that more links makes a page look "more advanced", because we have a policy against redundant links (WP:OVERLINK). Also, you keep referring to "our work" like you aren't the only person adding these links, which you are. This, to me, seems to indicate a fair amount of OWNERSHIP, which is also against policy. As I said in my edit summaries, the reason articles (such as those of American presidents) have a separate link for the ordinal is because it is a separate, distinct article in and of itself. Making a different link to the same page is unneeded and, instead of looking "advanced", looks unprofessional. Therequiembellishere (talk) 22:13, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
- Again, you seem to not understand that the quality of an article is not related to the quantity of links it has. At all. By "several offices", you mean Panettas chairmanship of the House Budget Committee, which is a generally lower office and I don't believe should be in the infobox, so long as it is mentioned in the prose of the article and (if possible) appears in the succession boxes below. Both of these occur on Panetta's page. I have nothing against links to the officeholder's numeration if it links to a different article. Otherwise, it's just OVERLINKING. And don't throw petty remarks of vandalism out at me because vandalism implies the intent to disrupt the page. Which I'm not. And you're not. Which is why I haven't called you a vandal. So I'd appreiciate it if you would keep this CIVIL. Therequiembellishere (talk) 22:23, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
- I've explained to you several times the difference between the linked ordinals on Obama's page as opposed to those on Panetta's. I'd appreciate it if you would read my messages, instead of sending me new messages that clearly show you haven't. Therequiembellishere (talk) 22:26, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
- Wow, you really have a problem actually reading what I write here, don't you? And I've left the Budget Charimanship in the infobox anyway. Since you obviously don't read your own talk page and still don't sign your responses I'm done talking to you here. Therequiembellishere (talk) 17:58, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Obama Ethal Kennedy 2006.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Obama Ethal Kennedy 2006.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. 3rr on Sarah Palin
[edit] You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.
In particular, the three-revert rule states that:
- Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. on the Sarah Palin article. Just to let you know... Thanks. Ism schism (talk) 20:48, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- You have blown through 3RR already, and could be subjected to a block (5 reversions already, in addition to the original post). You have also totally ignored the four separate discussions in the talk page history, and failed to use the talk page to advance your position. WP:BRD is not WP:BRRRRRRRR, and you need to discuss instead of blindly reverting after your changes have been reverted by no fewer than three separate editors. Horologium (talk) 21:01, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- Further, you were warned all the way back in July 2010 about the article probation on Sarah Palin ([2]); you may well be looking at a block. Horologium (talk) 21:06, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- This editor has told me, on my talk page, that they will stop editing the article for the time being. I do not know, or believe, that this is enough to avoid a block - that might be the result regardless. Also, I agree with the above - the talk page really should be used! Thanks. Ism schism (talk) 21:10, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- I am too involved in that article as an editor to issue a block, but if I encountered a similar situation at the edit-warring noticeboard (five reversions), I would have blocked him immediately, especially for an article on probation. Horologium (talk) 21:18, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- From what I have seen in the past, if an editor like this continues to disrupt an article - then an Admin will block them from editing. Thanks. Ism schism (talk) 21:32, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ralph Gants
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Ralph Gants requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Sonia Sotomayor. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
In particular, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
Speedy deletion nomination of Political positions of Paul Ryan
[edit]A tag has been placed on Political positions of Paul Ryan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Dylanfromthenorth (talk) 12:30, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
Hi! Your new article was nominated for speedy deletion as it did not contain any substantial material. However, it seems obvious that this is an article you have just begun working on, so I have moved it to you userspace for further editing. Hope that is ok and happy editing! - I thought that having this article in your userspace was a bad idea because so many people would want to work on it. I adapted your framework (crediting you in the ES) with some information from the main bio article to create Political positions of Paul Ryan. Thanks for getting the ball rolling! Disambiguation link notification for April 13
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Peter Thiel, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Y Combinator. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
