Speedy deletion nomination of Iemlabs
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Iemlabs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. AllyD (talk) 07:32, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

I had edited an wikipedia article. It was submitted 2 days ago. The Article was for Iemlabs. Iemlabs is basically a Vancouver based company having its branches in USA and India. But sadly, it got deleted instantly without any reason. There was no promotional statements and we have totally followed the Wikipedia Guidelines.

- Not done. The article gave no indication why this company is significant or important enough to have an article in an encyclopedia. The only references were its own sites.
- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a business listing directory, and is quite selective about subjects for articles: it does not expect to have articles about every company that exists. The inclusion criterion is called Wikipedia:Notability and is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and anything based on press releases. The test is, have people not connected with the company thought it significant enough to write substantial comment about? See also WP:Notability (organizations and companies) and WP:Notability (summary).
- That is quite a demanding test, and many perfectly worthy companies cannot meet it. That is not at all to their discredit, but it means they are not suitable subjects for an article in a global encyclopedia.
- If you think you can show notability, make a draft article by clicking on Help:Userspace draft and filling in the title. That will make a draft page where you can work on an article. Read WP:Your first article for advice. When it is ready, click on the link "Submit the page" which will send it to WP:Articles for creation, where an experience user will check it and either accept it or give you feedback. Speedy deletion nomination of IEMLabs
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on IEMLabs, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
