There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:

RFA thanks

File:IMG 3666border cropped.jpg Thanks so much for your support on my RFA, which closed successfully this morning with a result of (64/3/3). I will be stepping lightly at first trying to make sure I don't mess up too badly using the tools. Any further advice/guidance will be gratefully accepted. I hope I will live up to your trust!} NawlinWiki 12:02, 26 August 2006 (UTC) talk contribs

DYK nom

Yo buddy - there's a problem with the wording of your recent nom: it reads that the Gods vetoed the project, while actually its the villagers acting based on their beliefs. Also the wording largely seems disrespectful, perpetuating an image of Hindus as idol-worshipping, ignorant people. Rama's arrow 15:49, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Good catch!! I see that it's been changed on the mp. Regards -- Samir धर्म 23:54, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

WPBiography work group

I noticed that you voted for the creation of one of the suggested new work groups on WPBiography page. The main work group that we wish to create is Science & Academia (or a variant of that name) that would include scientists, mathematicians, academics, philosophers, inventors, and possibly explorers. Your vote in support of this creation would be much appreciated. 03:24, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

How's this? [1]. Sorry I have to run to round now but let me know if the tweakage was insufficient. Cheers -- Samir धर्म 11:03, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

No probs. My residents are so slow today... -- Samir धर्म 11:22, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

For your 21st support on JPD's RfA, you are now the 1000th total support for the RfA nominations which I have written!! Blnguyen | rant-line 02:27, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

RfA thanks

Thank you very much for participating in my RFA, which closed successfully today with a result of (62/18/3). I will go very carefully at first, trying to make sure I don't mess up too badly using the tools, and will begin by re-reading all the high-quality feedback I received during the process, not least from those who opposed me. Any further advice/guidance will be gratefully accepted. I hope I will live up to your trust! Guinnog 14:40, 30 August 2006 (UTC)}

IP

Hi Mgm, is this you? I am tempted to add a welcomeip message if not -- Lost(talk) 13:15, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

This is a shared computer so it could be someone else, but if you suspect it's me it probably is. :) - 131.211.210.11 07:35, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi, Lost(intherush)

Thanks for helping me get my username changed. Who knows how long I would have spent as Ellie041505 if you hadn't stepped in? Don't worry about the WikiStress; I defused it by copyediting the World Hockey Cup article, which I found randomly on the Community Portal. However, it didn't help that I have an eight-year-old computer and dialup :(. Anyway, thanks again, and bye! Eilicea 13:17, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Thank you

Thanks for the kind words, Lost. :)-- thunderboltza.k.a.Deepu Joseph |TALK 14:46, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

DYK error

No problem :) Main page errors should usually be reported to Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors. And by the way Wikipedia:What The Fuck? Oh My God! Too Many Damn Three Letter Acronyms. ARRRGGGHHH!!!!~!@!~1`2 ;) Cheers --Srikeit (Talk | Email) 19:30, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi. I have never seen such a situation before. I guess I was the only person who had known that this had previously been sent to CfD. That was the reason I put that particular DB tag. I have put up a note at both places. Hopefully there will be a discussion at only one place now. - Aksi_great (talk - review me) 19:06, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Re: Deletion sorting

Nope, we don't have a DS page. Actually, Bangladeshi wikipedians are now mostly active in Bengali wikipedia ... I think I and about 2/3 others are regular in en-wiki. --Ragib 07:54, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

But feel free to create the sub page if you can. Thanks. --Ragib 07:55, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Original research

Thanks for your advice and your point of view as to the original research question.

If I state what reputable computational method was used to get a answer from reputable (and cited data) then is the result not original research ? I am thinking that a person who understands the area would be free to report my anaylsis of the data and be able to verify the result which I have come to.Cadmium 11:29, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned

Hi Lost,

I have added a few images to the Cellular Jail article. Now that the FU image is orphaned, should we put it for deletion? — Ambuj Saxena (talk) 16:51, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Don't worry. The CSD category has 92 pages as of now, which is quite normal. It will be deleted in some time. A few more minutes won't harm anyone. — Ambuj Saxena (talk) 18:04, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Cellular Article

Your work for the Cellular Jail article caught my eye, so I'd like to thank you for your hard work. Axeman89 17:33, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

The DYK Medal
That makes no sense. So many of your articles on DYK, and no award for it?
I, MacGyverMagic hereby award you the DYK Medal. Mgm|(talk) 19:35, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Awards template

Good to see someone else using the [Show] style of awards :D. A quick hint: Square images always work best. If you want to add, say, a DYK to the list, I'd recommend you use http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:DYKSquare.png instead of the one that comes with the template. It will work much better. Any other questions etc., feel free to ask on my talk page - I'll try and help. Cheers, Daniel.Bryant 07:59, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

I created Image:BNM Square.png for you to use, as you asked, and changed your awards template to use it instead. Any other image changes (to squares etc.) you need, feel free to ask. And thanks for the friendly comment and the barnstar! Daniel.Bryant 05:50, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

ळ in Hindi

Thanks for ur judgement.I would request to post ur view in Belgaum:talk. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Belgaum )

JPD's RfA

Thanks, Lost, for your (historical) support at my RfA, which finished with a tally of 94/1/0. I hope I live up to the confidence you have shown in me in my activities as an administrator. JPD (talk) 15:47, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

re: RAoK Barnstar

Thanks, I loved it. I'm very happy to see that a simple act by me could initiate you into writing ten DYKs. All the best for even more! -- Sundar \talk \contribs 09:43, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Hey Lost!

You made the 'Welcome' post on my talk page (abt a month ago - I was moaning about the Thomas Harrison Butler deletion..)

I've started Wikipedia:Zen Collaboration of the Month. If you'd like to get involved I'd love to have your input!
