A tag has been placed on Shilipi Sharma (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates two or fewer extant Wikipedia pages and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
  • disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  LeoFrank  Talk 15:30, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Shilpi Sharma (disambiguation). If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. A tag has been placed on Template:Other people with the same name requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.  LeoFrank  Talk 15:44, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Aakramana (2014) flim.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on B Ajaneesh Loknath, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Hemanth Kumar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Upendra. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion declined: Mysore Mallige Scandal

[edit]

Hello Rajannamysore. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Mysore Mallige Scandal, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: WP:CSD#G10 is only for pages that "disparage, threaten, intimidate, or harass their subject or some other entity, and serve no other purpose". This is not such a page. If you think it should be deleted, consider AfD. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 08:40, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Revert changes made 'filmography' of Yash

[edit]

Hi Rajannamysore! My reverting was in no means to devalue your work. But, this a Wikipedia page and the filmography of an actor should only show his contribution in the film, such as his character name, roles other than acting and awards won, if any, for his performance in the corresponding film. For instance, see this — Suriya, Aamir Khan, Al Pacino. It does not go with an actor's popularity. Why not add info on the body of the article and cite sources, instead of resorting to adding superfluous info on the tabulated filmography? Thank you! Proposed deletion of Porki Huccha Venkat

The article Porki Huccha Venkat has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable film, does not meet WP:NF

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Attack on Freedom of Press

[edit]

During Kumaraswamy second tenure as Chief Minister of Karnataka. Post debacle of Lok sabha polls in 2019 results of Mandya constituency, where his son Nikhil Kumaraswamy lost to independent candidate Sumalatha Ambarish. Nikhil was reported to have been involved in drunken tantrum in Kannada daily Vishwavani News by popular investigative journalist Vishweshwar Bhat.[1][2] Kumaraswamy ordered police action on Vishweshwar Bhat for reporting the story.[3] This was widely criticized as 'Attack on Freedom on Press'.[2][3][4][1]

Your recent editing history at Vokkaliga shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Rockstonetalk to me! 21:27, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks:But the phrase "The word Gowda literally means head of territory, They are identified as landlords and village headmen. They are known to be a dominant and powerful caste in South Karnataka" is derogatory, inflammatory to rest of the community in the region. What is claimed is false, not referenced, unsubstantiated. Vokkaligas are less than 9% of the population in the state of Karnataka. There are listed in Backward Class in census. "Dominant and powerful caste" is reckless statement.
Edit warring is wrong, even if you're right. -- Rockstonetalk to me! 21:40, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule, as you did at Vokkaliga. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 22:12, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
