Username
Hey there, welcome to Wikipedia! I hate to be a stickler about this stuff, but I'm concerned your username might contravene our username policy—obviously I can see how it's meant to be inoffensive or tongue-in-cheek, but its derivation from "racial tensions" might rankle some. No need to create redirects and then afterwards having to go to WP:RMTR
Hey there, I saw your request for the moves of Dreamscape (album) and Frequency (EP) earlier today and noticed that you created redirects at both those pages shortly prior to requesting the move of the drafts to those articles. Next time, you can just skip creating a redirect first and instead just WP:MOVE the page from the draft directly onto the redlink yourself. Happy editing :) Raladic (talk) 03:01, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Raladic yeah I know, I didn't expect there to be enough information on the albums yet to be able to pull together an article so that's why I created the redirects when I did the drafts... once I started writing the drafts it became clear that there was at least enough for a semi-useful article on the subjects to pass muster with WP:NMUSIC. Thanks for the help! RachelTensions (talk) 03:12, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- Ah I see, makes sense :)
- I think for the the Draft:Frequency (EP) one, instead of having tagged it with G6, you could have moved that one WP:MOVEOVERREDIRECT as it only had your one single edit, which you could have done yourself directly without page mover permissions if that current target only had 1 single edit as it did at that time, so just something to keep in mind for next time :) Raladic (talk) 03:22, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- I tried moving it myself for both and it wouldn't let me overwrite the redirect, even though there was just one single entry in the page history... no idea why. RachelTensions (talk) 03:26, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- Ah ok fair enough, maybe there's some special rule for cross namespace (since it was a move from draft to mainspace).
- Well in any case then, I guess just continue as normal then and pop in at RMTR as you did when you need assistance :) Raladic (talk) 03:30, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Raladic Yeah, starting to think WP:MOVEOVERREDIRECT might be broken. Just tried to usurp Hyunjin, which is a redirect with only one entry in the history, with Hwang Hyun-jin which is already in mainspace, and it still didn't work. Weird. RachelTensions (talk) 16:19, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- Interesting, you could maybe create a post about it on WP:AN or so. Raladic (talk) 17:06, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Raladic problem solved, the conditions allowable for a move over redirect are a single line in the page history and the redirect must already be pointing to the article attempting to be moved. RachelTensions (talk) 18:14, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- Interesting, you could maybe create a post about it on WP:AN or so. Raladic (talk) 17:06, 28 October 2024 (UTC)

Hyunjin at Global Cyber University
Hello you recently edited the addition of Global cyber University to Hyunjin's Wikipedia page under education, citing that it is not relevant to him as a person, could you clarify this
[1] Fanmadehenecia (talk) 06:33, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
- Sure. Basically, we don't include everything in the infobox - we include relevant information. In the case of the education field in the infobox, his attendance at Global Cyber University is irrelevant to anything he has done with regard to his notability. His School of Performing Arts Seoul education is included because it is relevant to his notability - he is a performer. But whatever he's doing at Global Cyber University is irrelevant to any of his notability, and, as far as anyone knows, he hasn't graduated.MOS:INFOEDU states "It is usually not relevant to include either parameter for non-graduates" and Template:Infobox person says "Education, e.g., degree, institution and graduation year, if relevant."Additionally, the additions of Global Cyber University weren't backed up by WP:Reliable sources. Draft:Seunghan
Hi Rachel. After you pinged me back to the Teahouse thread, I took a look at your draft. It looks fine to me and should sail through AfC I think: I'm not an AfC reviewer. The only thing you should probably check is the copyright status of the images, which you captured from YouTube videos. Although some videos there are licenced CC BY, I didn't see that tag when I looked at these particular ones. However, I've no experience with that so maybe you are confident these are OK? Best wishes: next step after acceptance is WP:DYK! Mike Turnbull (talk) 11:17, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for having a look Michael, I appreciate your feedback. I'm confident the images are freely licensed, both images are captured from videos that were freely licensed by their copyright holders (if you expand the description of the videos on Youtube the license is "License: Creative Commons Attribution license (reuse allowed)" tag at the very bottom.)Thanks again RachelTensions (talk) 15:27, 1 November 2024 (UTC)

- Dear Racechel, do you know what hydrophobic effect is? I know but asked AI because of curiosity. Here is the answer: "The hydrophobic effect, for instance, is fundamental in areas like biochemistry, molecular biology, and pharmaceutical development—fields that affect our daily lives, from understanding how drugs interact with the body to insights into the origins of life. But this knowledge doesn’t get as much attention as pop culture, even though it’s highly impactful in real-world terms.". This is not a perfect answer, but close. The hydrophopic effect, for wich Andrew Pohorille together with Larry Pratt and Richard Chandler found a theorethical explanation is today broadly applied in beauty industry as a base for hydrating products. But this is not a scientific achievement. The article published in PNAS is also not a scientific achievement. Not enough to have a Wikipedia page. But this did not get much coverage in mass media. I am sure that the color of dresses that Hilton girls wear got a lot. And most likely they have wikipedia pages. Aleksandra6617 (talk) 07:49, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hello Rachel, please ask AI about Andrew Pohorille. I asked. Here is the answer I got: Who was Andrew Pohorille?
- Andrew Pohorille (May 14, 1949 – January 6, 2024) was a distinguished theoretical and statistical physicist known for his work in computational biology, the origin of life, and astrobiology. Throughout his career, he made significant contributions to our understanding of molecular dynamics, biophysics, and the prebiotic chemistry that may have led to the emergence of life on Earth.
- Career and Achievements:
- • Academic Positions: Pohorille held academic positions at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where he was a professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. He also served as a faculty member at NASA Ames Research Center, contributing to various astrobiology and computational projects.
- • Research Focus: His primary research focused on using computational methods to test hypotheses about the origin of life, with an emphasis on understanding the structure and dynamics of biological membranes, ion channels, and other molecular systems. He used computer simulations to model complex biological phenomena, helping to elucidate the physical and chemical conditions that might have supported the earliest life forms.
- • Key Contributions:
- • Hydrophobic Effect: Pohorille worked extensively on the hydrophobic effect, which plays a crucial role in the folding of proteins and the behavior of cell membranes.
- • Astrobiology: He contributed to the establishment of the NASA Astrobiology Institute and was involved in drafting the Astrobiology Roadmap. His work helped shape research on the origins of life on Earth and the detection of life on other planets.
- • Computational Modeling: Pohorille developed methods for calculating the free energy profiles of complex molecular systems, which are crucial for understanding biological processes at the molecular level.
- • Awards: Throughout his career, Pohorille received numerous honors, including the NASA Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal (2002) and the NASA Exceptional Services Medal (2023). He also received the H. Julian Allen Award for his work on free energy calculations in computational chemistry.
- Legacy:
- Andrew Pohorille’s contributions to the field of computational chemistry and astrobiology have had a lasting impact on the scientific community. His interdisciplinary approach, blending physics, chemistry, and biology, provided valuable insights into some of the fundamental processes that underlie life itself. His work continues to inspire scientists working in the fields of biophysics, molecular biology, and astrobiology.
- Is this enough for the wikipedia page or still not? At the draft page are references to all what AI found.
- Regards Aleksandra6617 (talk) 08:14, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- Can you point to which WP:NACADEMIC criteria, in specific, you believe Mr. Pohorille meets? RachelTensions (talk) 08:22, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- It takes 10 secend and even chatGPT (no money) is enough. And this is exactly what is in the draft page. The difference is that at this page are references to articles published in a very good scientific journals plus scientific metrica like numeber of citations etc. He was a hard working scientist and was not wasting time for interviews with journalists but this iis possible to find some if this is necessary. Still, it seems to be not a very good criterion to evaluate a scientist. Aleksandra6617 (talk) 08:42, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
