[edit]I am a Victim Services Provider from the State's Attorney's Office in Winnebago County. Murder is a devastating crime and there is no murder that is "worse" than another; however, when a young man delivering newspapers, that was stalked unknowingly by the murderer is grabbed off of a city street and brutally raped and murdered, it is "noteable". This is a significant case, I remember the fear in the community at the time this happened. Joey Didier is not the only "victim" of Robert Lower, he was watching and waiting for other paper boys..........today as the Didier family fights to keep this murderer in prison this community stands up and helps them in their fight, remembering the terror Robert Lower placed on this community. If someone has made a good & well written article on the case, I feel the topic would be a valuable addition to your encyclopedia. Families continue to be destroyed by predators such as Robert Lower........children are kidnapped and found murdered - the significance that our children are still at risk even 35 years later should say something for this article remaining on Wikipedia.

AfD nomination of Murder of Joseph Didier
[edit]I have nominated Murder of Joseph Didier, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Murder of Joseph Didier. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 07:26, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
adoption
[edit]Let's go for it.:)
This is a box you can put on your user page. Now you will have to be good and not bring shame upon our family name (joke.) "Presumptive Parkin" sounds quite good actually.:) So, there's a lot of issues people seem to be going on about, perhaps we could move to email just so we can discuss things in more depth. I haven't read through all the ins and outs of what you've supposedly done yet:) But I can see you want to create articles and I think you will lead to some good ones being created, or other articles being improved. STOP
[edit]PLEASE ALLOW ME A WIKIBREAK IN PEACE. PLEASE DON'T LEAVE NASTY MESSAGES. POLITE COMMENTS ARE OK BUT I'VE EDITED NOTHING RECENTLY SO THERE'S NOT MUCH TO COMMENT ON. Presumptive (talk) 04:42, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- I find it amusing that you are on a Wikibreak, yet continue to break consensus with edits such as this: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=September_11,_2001_attacks&diff=232242020&oldid=232174987 --Tarage (talk) 22:14, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Inappropriate userpage content
[edit]Your userpage, User:Presumptive, appears to contain an excessive amount of information unrelated to your activities as a Wikipedian, and not to be in compliance with the Wikipedia:User page guideline. Please see WP:UP and, in particular, WP:UP#NOT for what kind of content is appropriate/inappropriate for a userpage. If you wish to keep working on developing an article about Joseph Didier, the correct way to do that is to create a subpage of your userpage and to work on developing the article there (see instructions about how to create a subpage at WP:UP#How do I create a user subpage?). The userpage itself should not be used for article development purposes or as a "garage area", as you called it on your userpage. Similarly, using a userpage for extensive advocacy or publicity for a particular cause, private or political, is inappropriate. Please familiarize yourself with the Wikipedia:User page guideline and bring your userpage in compliance with this guideline. Thank you, Nsk92 (talk) 14:21, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- As haven't edited in two weeks, I went ahead and took care of this for you. Wikipedia isn't a memorial as you indicated here, and user pages aren't meant to substitute for articles. You can always make a subpage if you'd like to continue working on the article. AniMate 22:44, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
I started a thread about your reinsertion of the Joseph Didier article on your user page. You can find it here. AniMate 11:32, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
communication with other editors
[edit]Presumptive, can't you see that if someone has removed content they consider inappropriate from your userpage, to put it back without discussing it with them is very cheeky. You also added the warning etc sign telling other editors not to view it, seemigly thinking you can control what other editors look at. You know you could simply put it in a subpage such as User:Presumptive/Didier and this problem would be pretty much solved, or at least you wouldn't be antagonizing anyone, but you choose not to. As your adopter, I don't feel you are making much progress, to be honest. You don't seem to want to get on with other editors. And I was surprised to see you back on these pages. But then there was something happening you needed to edit war about.:) Sticky Parkin 12:35, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit]I moved the section of your userpage to User:Presumptive/Murder of Joseph Didier. It is likely to be deleted, but you have time to copy it offsite for your personal use. Guy (Help!) 13:11, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
