Barnstar for you
The Barnstar of Diplomacy | ||
Well said. While the drama can be interesting, it does distract from our efforts to contribute to the project. Thanks. – S. Rich (talk) 15:58, 15 November 2013 (UTC) |
- I'm glad you realize that. You and Miles work on the same projects. You don't have to be workings on each other's FA's or giving each other wikilove every 30 minutes, but you need to be able to understand and respect their opinion to ensure diplomacy, respect and stability. Let's just move past this! PrairieKid (talk) 16:53, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

GAN December 2013 Backlog Drive
Hello! A GAN Backlog Drive will begin in less than 4 days! In past Backlog Drives, the goal was to reduce the backlog of Good article nominations. In the upcoming drive, another goal will be added - raising as much money as we can for the Wikimedia Foundation. How will this work? Well, its pretty simple. Any user interested in donating can submit a pledge at the Backlog Drive page (linked above). The pledge should mention the amount of money the user is willing to donate per review. For example, if a user pledges 5 cents per review and 100 nominations are reviewed, the total donation amount is $5.00. At the time this message was sent out, two users have submitted pledges for a total of 8 cents per review. All pledges, no matter how much money, are greatly appreciated. Also, in no way is this saying you must make a pledge. |
Your GA nomination of Jaime Herrera Beutler
The article Jaime Herrera Beutler you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Jaime Herrera Beutler for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to United States Senate election in Mississippi, 1996 may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Welcome to the 2014 WikiCup!
Hello PrairieKid, and welcome to the 2014 WikiCup! Your submission page can be found here. The competition will begin at midnight tonight (UTC). There have been a few small changes from last year; the rules can be read in full at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring, and the page also includes a summary of changes. One important rule to remember is that only content on which you have completed significant work, and nominated, in 2014 is eligible for points in the competition- the judges will be checking! As ever, this year's competition includes some younger editors. If you are a younger editor, you are certainly welcome, but we have written an advice page at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Advice for younger editors for you. Please do take a look. Any questions should be directed to one of the judges, or left on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup. Signups will close at the end of January, and the first round will end on 26 February; the 64 highest scorers at that time will make it to round 2. Good luck! PR for Ann Rivers
I am sorry but I won't have time to do a good job of review for the Ann Rivers article. I will make a copy edit pass to correct a few problems I noticed (mostly capitalized job titles and common noun phrases, some un-encyclopedic language) but little that will move you significantly forward. My apologies. Good luck! Jojalozzo 19:58, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
- What you did was very helpful! It is always great to get another eye on an article to spot problems! Thanks very much! PrairieKid (talk) 21:11, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
Thanks For the Welcome!
Thank you for welcoming me!
First, I'd like to say go Penguins! I'm a 2010 graduate from Clark. Also, glad to be welcomed by a fellow libertarian. Voted for Gary Johnson in 2012... part of that 1%!
