Speedy deletion nomination of Mount Carmel Girls' High School, Nagpur
A tag has been placed on Mount Carmel Girls' High School, Nagpur requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Orphaned non-free media (File:Mission_Impossible_2.png)
Thanks for uploading File:Mission_Impossible_2.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe this important core policy. Thank you. Fæ (talk) 15:29, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Ajith Kumar with his wife Shalini in Soundraya's reception.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —Vensatry (Ping me) 06:05, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

{Help me-helped}} hi how to get upload a image from other website and to get otrs perrimission please explain by step by step Perumalism (talk) 19:31, 11 December 2012 (UTC)
- You can only get OTRS permission if you are the copyright holder. Our image use policy can be found at; WP:IUP.A guide to finding images to use is at WP:FIT A guide to uploading images is at WP:UPIMAGE. If you require any additional help then please replace the {{Help me}} tag and someone will assist. --wintonian talk 20:31, 11 December 2012 (UTC)
This help request has been answered. If you need more help, please place a new {{help me}} request on this page followed by your questions, or contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page. |
What is format to get request perimission from otrs
- I repeat what Wintonian said above: only the copyright holder can give permission. If you are the copyright holder, or the actual copyright holder is willing to make the image freely available, you should upload it to Wikimedia Commons, where it will be available for all the Wikimedia projects. See commons:Commons:OTRS which explains what you need to do, and for uploading commons:Special:UploadWizard. JohnCD (talk) 18:15, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
- You asked about the image File:SuriyaRC.png. That came from http://www.bollywoodhungama.com, a site which (very unusually) makes some of its images available under the CC-BY-SA license which is compatible with Wikipedia's. So it was uploaded to Commons with a special template to say so, and a Commons admin checked that the license was right.
- The best place for you to ask advice is commons:Help Desk. Tell them where the image is that you want to upload, and they will tell you whether it is possible. JohnCD (talk) 20:42, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:1998 Coimbatore bombings.gif
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:1998 Coimbatore bombings.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Source field in image information
Hi Perumalism, just a little hint regarding your recent requests in the graphics lab: I noticed that you're using the source field in the image description of the raster versions to specify a possible source for a vector version. This is not the purpose of the source field. The source field should specify the source of the current image (e.g. were this exact version of the raster graphics was taken from). Therefore you should never change this information as long as you're not uploading a new version of the old file (then you need to specify the source for the new file).
If you want to give a possible source for a vector version you should use {{Convert to SVG|logo|url=http://link_to_a_vector_version.com}}
which produces:
This logo image was uploaded in a raster graphics format such as PNG, GIF, or JPEG. However, it contains information that could be stored more efficiently and/or accurately in the SVG format, as a vector graphic. If possible, please upload an SVG version of this image. After confirming it is of comparable quality, please replace all instances of the previous version throughout Wikipedia (noted under the "File links" header), tag the old version with , and remove this tag. For more information, see Wikipedia:Preparing images for upload. For assistance with converting to SVG, please see the Graphics Lab.
An existing vector image exists at this link in a format easily converted to SVG. |
This template also adds your image to one of the existing maintenance categories (when specifying the logo
parameter Category:Logo images that should be in SVG format). Volunteers are steadily working on vectorizing all files in these categories, so you don't even need to create a request in the graphics lab for images that are not urgent. -- Patrick87 (talk) 12:20, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Man of Steel- Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.jpg. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Orphaned non-free media (File:Man of Steel- Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:Man of Steel- Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:15, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
