File permission problem with File:Ludwig Runzheimer.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Ludwig Runzheimer.jpg, which you've attributed to Stiftelsen Espeland Fangeleir. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:33, 13 March 2021 (UTC)
This also applies to the following images:
- File:Espeland prisoners after liberation.jpg
- File:Espeland Detention Camp Map.jpg
- File:Espeland Detention Camp.png
- File:Espeland prisoners under guard.jpg— Diannaa (talk) 14:35, 13 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Diannaa, I have forwarded the email in which Stiftelsen Espeland Fangeleir gave me permission to use the historic photographs on their website. I hope this covers all the photos you mention above. Best regards, PentagonPizza (talk) 15:04, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 6
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Anniston and Birmingham bus attacks, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page James Peck. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:50, 6 April 2023 (UTC)

File:Sydspissen, Tromsø, 1956.jpg listed for discussion
[edit]A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Sydspissen, Tromsø, 1956.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for discussion. Please see the discussion to see why it has been listed (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry). Feel free to add your opinion on the matter below the nomination. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Tromsø. Sydspissen, 1956.jpg
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on File:Tromsø. Sydspissen, 1956.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Files_for_discussion/2023_September_9#File:Sydspissen,_Tromsø,_1956.jpg. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. — Ирука13 08:44, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
October 2023
[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Filicide. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Unexplained reverts are disruptive. Drmies (talk) 12:05, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
- "Your edits appear to be disruptive." --- I mean this in good faith, but from my perspective, based on the page's revision history, it appears to me that you're the one making disruptive edits.
- You're telling me that I should "discuss the matter [...] at [...] the article's talk page" and "seek consensus" and not "continue to make edits that appear disruptive", despite the fact that you don't appear to have followed this advice yourself.
- You've removed a significant amount of content from a page (which seems extremely disruptive to me) and the only explanation you've provided comes off as personal opinion. Then, after facing pushback from other editors, rather than start a debate on the talkpage, you've simply overruled anyone who disagrees with you, to the point of sending me this somewhat intimidating message.
- I feel like you could've sent me a message clearly explaining why you think your removal of the content is appropriate, rather than sending me a message threatening me with a loss of editing privileges. PentagonPizza (talk) 14:12, 29 October 2023 (UTC)
