Wikipedia - 'My Watchlist ' page
Hello Stewart, Could you tell me what the numbers in brackets on 'My Watchlist' mean they are green or red and can be negative or positive. Thanks.Rosser 09:15, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
- Just passing so thought I may as well answer this. It shows the difference in the total number of characters between the revisions. Adambro 09:19, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Howwood station
On historic railways, would i give Howwood railway station its current article name? Simply south 16:41, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Glasgow Central Railway and question marks
Sorry about that. The problem is caused by Spoorstrip.exe, which does not accept Unicode characters. I'm still looking for a solution for this problem. I try to avoid the problem, but sometimes I overlook it. HandigeHarry 14:51, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Duplicates
Can you substitute on your subpages all svg-images for railwaydiagrams, which are duplicates, with the other one ? that will be nice. you can find out them here. The filenames start with "BSicon" and contains the substring "STB" somewhere behind. Thank you. 84.150.215.245 11:36, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Hello, Duplicate railway pictures haev been deleted on Commons, and your test pages has been spoiled. Hope this isn't a problem. Michelet-Me laisser un message 17:38, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Glasgow Central usage
Hi there, whereabouts in the National Rail Trends did you find the usage for Glasgow Central? Thanks. Adambro 12:28, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Airport Shuttle
Airport shuttle is being launched as an additional service offered by the John C Munro Hamilton International Airport. Press conference is this Wednesday.
Thanks —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hishuttle (talk • contribs) 14:27, 23 April 2007 (UTC).
- I removed it as advertising already. If the company is notable then the link should be there. We don't link to the airlines website from the airport so why the shuttle. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 20:19, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
BA Connect
As a Manager at BA, I can assure you that BA connect does still exist, GB airways still operates under this branding from Bristol, Nottingham East Midlands, Manchester. Caldercruix and Armadale
I just created these stations as part of the new rail link. Do you know much about their history etc? Simply south 20:12, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi Pencefn/Archive07Q2, as a WikiProject Scotland participant, please check out this this thread and consider adding the bot results page to your watchlist so we can manually update the New Articles page. There are some false results for the first batch, but I'm sure we can collectively tune the rules to improve the output.
If we get enough people watching the results page, we'll be cooking with gas as they say :) This looks like a great helper in finding new Scotland related material. Cheers. --Cactus.man ✍ 01:46, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Wales's
Greetings Stewart, Regret unable to edit frequently, but would you please consider Wiki article "Prince of Wales's feathers" also Henry Fowler "Modern English Usage" Possessive Puzzles (1) and also http://www.royal.gov.uk/output/page562.asp re St James's Palace and also elsewhere St James's Park etc. Usage does change over the years but that is not an excuse for changing existing traditional and officially accepted usage for a modernism that is not universally accepted. Regards, Noel
Thanks for the change NoelWalley 06:37, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Defunct rail companies
Do you think it would be okay if i split these from {{Railway lines in Scotland}}? Also forgot to say, thanks for the sources. Simply south 17:14, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Template:Infobox UK disused station
Why did you try to remove the coordinates from {{Infobox UK disused station}}? Andy Mabbett 09:07, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- I was trying to remove the duplication of co-ordinates on the article page (look at Elderslie railway station). The information is displayed twice, once in the title line and secondly inthe infobox. Totally failed to remove only the instance from the infobox, and leave the co-ordinates in the title line - or vice versa. Hence I have given up and will have to tolerate this duplication. --Stewart 11:48, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- The current display is intentional; all infoboxes collect and repeat information from elsewhere on the page. Andy Mabbett 12:15, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- Understood - Must try not to edits whilst still jet-lagged. - Stewart 12:25, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. Andy Mabbett 12:34, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Paisley Canal
It effectively follows the same route. I think parts of the article could be reworded and expanded but as it is the same line really i think it should stay as it is. The route map could be extened further but maybe with ex-links. If you want an example of an article which ha both the historical and modern line, see London, Tilbury and Southend Railway.
Separately, the new template is under Template:Historical Scottish railway companies. Simply south 12:21, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Scottish traditional counties
Hi! With reference to your edits at Template:Infobox UK place re the traditional counties, this information is not included per these discussions at Template talk:Infobox UK place/Archive 1. I would suggest putting the info into the main article, but please raise any issues at Template talk:Infobox UK place. Regan123 10:03, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Coordinates (and their habbit of touching the title line)
Sorry to be a bit forward, but was going to add a message to User:Pigsonthewing's talk page when I say your query. This bug bothers me as well: when coordinates are added inside the infobox, they are at the infobox text size even when displayed in the title. This makes it merge with the line. There's no real way to fix with it, so best to grin and bear it until the Template:Coord people get round to fixing it. This isn't likely to happen anytime soon, unfortunately - they're busy fighting amongst themselves at the moment: Template talk:Coord. It'll probably be fixed in due course, but it's not the fault of your skin. Peace. (chgallen 14:07, 6 June 2007 (UTC))
- A fix has already been requested. No "template coord people" are "fighting amongst themselves". Andy Mabbett 14:15, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- All right, then. Indeed, they are not arguing amongst themselves, as the comments "This argument is going round in circles" and "I've got fed up with this discussion not going anywhere" clearly demonstrate. Oh what jests. If I can be serious for a moment: those who contribute to the coord template are currently working on a fix for the title display. This has been delayed by them
arguingrigorously debating about the best way forward. This site needs more love. (chgallen 14:27, 6 June 2007 (UTC))

- It also needs more accuracy. No work on {{coord}} has been delayed by the people working on it; and those of us who contribute to it are not fighting amongst ourselves. Andy Mabbett 14:44, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Oh fine. Sorry for being so unashamedly lighthearted. I forgot that this is a serious place for serious people, and that only serious things may be said in as serious a way as possible. Relax. No-one is saying that coord development is being hampered by delays. I only meant to imply that the contributors have bigger fish to fry at the moment that fixing what is, in essence, a purely cosmetic issue - they're busy accusing each other of making bogus claims about another issue. I'm sorry if I've offended you or the other hard-working makers of coord. I unconditionally withdraw my previous inaccuracies. We friends? (chgallen 15:01, 6 June 2007 (UTC))
