A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Gallery of country coats of arms in 1863 is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gallery of country coats of arms in 1863 until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. —Justin (koavf)TCM19:43, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Anthem for Austria-Hungary

[edit]

I've removed the version of the "Imperial Anthem" that you inserted in the Austria-Hungary article. I know that the melody is the same as the Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser, written by Hayden. However, because of the history of the anthem in Germany during the World Wars, it seems important to have a source that is tied more directly to Austria-Hungary. This may, or may not, be difficult to come by, but I note that the anthem is in the public domain [1]. Would you be willing to assist with this? Sunray (talk) 17:56, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, perhaps it wasn't as easy as I thought. I couldn't come across a downloadable version of the anthem to replace the version you used, so I have restored the U.S. Army version of the anthem, at least for the time being. Sunray (talk) 18:27, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your map has some mistakes. I like it, it's better than mine, but you should correct them. First of all, the A Thessalonikis includes the whole city of Thessaloniki and the B Thessalonikis the rest of the prefecture. You have two different districts for the A Thessalonikis. Also, the boundaries between Kavala and Drama perfectures is weird! :) Now, the Attica periphery; there is the A Athinon, the B Athinon, the A Pireos, the B Pireos and the (Rest of) Attica (Ypoloipo Attikis). The A Athinon is the Municipality of Athens in the heart of the B Athinon, which includes the Athenian suburbs (

The municipality of Athens(A athinon) and its suburbs(B athinon).

. The A Pireos includes only the Municipality of Piraeus and the suburbs and islands of Piraeus. In this map:

number one is the A pireos and the rest is the B Pireos. You can check it on the site's map of the Ministry of the interior. If you need any help just send me back!! :) Amicably, --RoseAphro (talk) 18:40, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Royal Hellenic Air Force ranks has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No content, it's only a chart of NATO codes.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. When you recently edited Royal Hellenic Air Force ranks, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Wing Commander (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello,

You recently updated the logo of the University of London (File:University of London.svg). As it differs substantially from the original version as well as what can be seen on the University of London website as regards colours and shapes, would you be able to indicate the source of your file?

FYI, the version I uploaded was directly extracted from an official PDF document published by the University of London (http://www.london.ac.uk/fileadmin/documents/about/vicechancellor/LON_5835_Key_Facts_update___for_web.pdf).

File permission problem with File:Grand Cross Star greece.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Grand Cross Star greece.jpg, which you've attributed to http://www.medals.org.uk/greece/greece002.htm. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:09, 21 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Constantine I.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. SuperMarioMan 18:03, 23 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The file was showing up on several other websites. Given its age, I see now that it probably was not copied from one of those sites – instead, it was most likely copied from Wikipedia. Unfortunately, the file was still speedy-deletable because of its licensing information, part of which (if I remember correctly) specified "Only for use on Wikipedia" or something similar; see WP:CSD#F3. Please disregard my first message. My apologies for this misunderstanding. SuperMarioMan 15:55, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you just moved West Greece to Western Greece. Unfortunately, you didn't do it the right way, by cutting and pasting. As you may have noticed, simply using the "move" button did not work, so you should have listed it at Wikipedia:Requested moves. File source problem with File:DavidSuchet - Poirot.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:DavidSuchet - Poirot.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. File permission problem with File:Order of St.Olga & St.Sophia,1st class.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Order of St.Olga & St.Sophia,1st class.jpg.

Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I Gefyra (2022 TV series) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, I Gefyra (2022 TV series), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Order of precedence of Greece

[edit]

I've got a few questions about this infobox.

1. What's its value? The order of precedence is just a bureaucratic procedure for calling people on national holidays. What important information does it add?

2. Kasselakis has never been on the order of precedence as he is not the official representative of the opposition.

This infobox is not in any other article, of any country so it's probably not necessary. If you think about it I think you will agree with me. Pallikari (talk) 02:36, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

2th notice

[edit]

I think you should not continue your edits ignoring me, as I strongly object to the information you are adding. You don't have a consensus on this and we need to discuss it Consensus is Wikipedia's fundamental method of decision making. Pallikari (talk) 17:46, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
