A tag has been placed on Galway Mosque requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Vandalism

Can you explain what did u just do here? https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Muslim_population_growth&diff=657303483&oldid=657303413 198.16.164.205 (talk) 18:17, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

User:198.16.164.205 It doesn't belong on an article entitled "Muslim population growth." Just like the following doesn't belong on the page, nor on any unrelated page: "It is important to understand that Sunnis regard Shias as heretics and blasphemers" and the Sunnis, who consider themselves the orthodox Muslim denomination and regard the Shia as heretical denomination" and Orthodox clerics often despise Sufis considering them heretical and deviant Muslims" and Sunnis and Shia regard each other as heretical Non-Muslim".--Peaceworld 11:54, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
What did you mean by oops in your message? Second you are citing a Christian source about Ahmadis on Muslim population growth. Aren't you trying to stretch the reality a bit too far? Third don't divert issue to Shias and Sufis. Fact is Ahmadis make up 1% percent of the total 'Muslim' population which is insignificant overall. Fourth Ahmadiyya came into existence a full 1000 years after the beginning of Islam. You want to include your particulars but your particulars clearly do require further clarification. 198.16.164.205 (talk) 18:10, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
What does age of existence has got to do with population growth?
1% makes it larger than some of the major religions of the world. It's not insignificant. It's a major denomination of Islam. Second, the article is on population growth, not on proportions of each denominations.
What is your exact issue with a Christian source, does it fail WP:RS, WP:NPOV? eventhough the article does mention "according to..." to maintain neutrality.--Peaceworld 10:21, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
You are also in violation of WP:SPA because you have hardly made any edits outside of these two topics Ahmadiyya and Islam. 198.16.164.205 (talk) 12:59, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
Please respond to the topic at hand under your registered account, as adivsed here. Just because I'm creating a large number of articles and watching pages related Ahmadiyya, particularly when such pages face high levels of vandalism reflected by their level of persecution in the real world, doesn't mean I'm an SPA.--Peaceworld

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Template:Caliphate. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Unless you get consensus, please do not edit-war to add ISIL to the template. Thanks. Khestwol (talk) 13:52, 4 July 2015 (UTC)

While I have zero self-interest in adding ISIL in the template, I am only following the construction in Caliphate. More importantly however, please don't go about placing false warnings: It would be a good idea if you actually read what the consensus was Khestwol, entitled "Should ISIS/ISL be listed as a caliphate?" which is not the same thing as ISIL claiming to be one, a topic which happens to be relevant enough to be given a mention in the lede and a devoted section in Caliphate.--Peaceworld 14:14, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
I think another user than me has well explained why ISIL should not be listed in the template. The reasons can be found on the template's Talk page. I recommend to not make changes when consensus goes against you. Thank you. Khestwol (talk) 14:18, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
Khestwol, Actually, the user that you refer to states that he/she has "no objection to the template listing ISIL as a related subject," which is the fact that ISIL claims to be a Caliphate, hence my addtion "ISIL claim".--Peaceworld
Regardless, he and me had explicitly opposed your suggestions. So I will be happy if you not again add ISIL, and also the Ahmadiyya Caliphate for that matter. Cheers, Khestwol (talk) 14:28, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
KhestwolYou are confusing yourself. I modified my additions inline with the suggestions. Neither you nor Amatulic liked my original categorization of the caliphates, so I changed it to a list instead, inline with the only alternative suggestion. The consensus including the two opposing views were regarding listing ISIL as a caliphate which I took into account relabelled it as "ISIL claim". Why not Ahmadiyya Caliphate? Why not Ahmadiyya Caliphate explicitly in face of several smaller less well known Caliphates? --Peaceworld 14:43, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
The reason is simple. Unless a WP:Consensus major changes can't be made. And so far you have not got one in your favor. Khestwol (talk) 15:00, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
Khestwol There is no such policy that consensus needs to be established for major changes. Let's be clear and let's get straight to the point, you yourself have no issue with major changes, as you've stated yourself, your only issue is the addition of "ISIL claim" and "Ahmadiyya Caliphate". Please explain what is your issue with them? (1) What is your issue with "ISIL claim" (2) What is your issue with "Ahmadiyya Caliphate".--Peaceworld 15:16, 4 July 2015 (UTC)

Yazdânism AND Bahá'í should be DELETED from Template:Islam

Since you modify this template frequently, ıf you compare Template:Islam with Template:Religion topics it is clear that Yazdânism AND Bahá'í should be DELETED from Template:Islam

According to Template:Religion topics

  1. Bábism
  2. Azali
  3. Bahá'í Faith
  4. Druze

ARE Abrahamic religions BUT NOT Islam

AND
  1. Yazdânism (Yazidism · Ishikism · Ali-Illahism · Yarsanism)

ARE Indo-Iranian religions AND they are non-islamic

IN CONCLUSION

Yazdânism AND Bahá'í SHOULD BE DELETED from Template:Islam

Druze, on the other hand, might be included explicitly in to the list.68.100.166.227 (talk) 06:00, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

Edit-war

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Template:Ahmadiyya. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 09:34, 19 August 2015 (UTC)

Mujaddid

Hello! Would you be able to take a look at the article Mujaddid? I had locked the article previously for edit warring, so people keep appealing to me to promote their particular version. But I am unable to evaluate whether the various sources people have been adding are actually neutral and reliable (in most cases I doubt it, they read like religious tracts). Edit warring has resumed there; I have again locked the article and reverted to what I believe to be the last stable version, and encouraged them to use the talk page to work out what the wording and sources should be. I trust you as a knowledgeable person who understands Islam and also knows how Wikipedia works. Any advice you can give, either to me or to users at the talk page, would be welcomed. --MelanieN (talk) 15:27, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

List of mosques in the United States

I see from other items above that you are being relied upon to support reasonable editing in Islam-related topics. I hope you don't mind playing that role for a while. I too wish to be a constructive player in this area; I think it's important. As you may see from my last edits at Talk:List of mosques in the United States and at User_talk:Waldorfbp#October_2015, I am trying to seek that editor's cooperation. They don't have much experience and I hope they can be encouraged to edit productively. Anyhow, I reverted my own revert of their last edits at the article, figuring I should not be modeling what edit-warring is. I requested and hope they will revert their own edits, but if they do not do so soon I would welcome your re-installing the shorter, appropriate list. Thanks for your attention there so far. --doncram 16:47, 8 October 2015 (UTC)

.@Doncram: Thanks for your note. @Waldorfbp: appears to be editing other articles but has not yet responded to your discussions at Talk:List of mosques in the United States besides one small assertion. I don't believe that we should wait for long, particularly when this article is clearly not encyclopedic. While I do believe that there are many notable mosques within the long list, the majority are unlikely to be. I also think it makes more sense to work the other way round, i.e. extract notable mosques from the long list and add it to the existing shorter list.--Peaceworld 16:24, 10 October 2015 (UTC)
Right, although I thanked them for posting, their one edit at the Talk page is inadequate: it made an assertion that is besides the point and did not actually respond to anything written there up to that time. And they have not responded to further overtures I made at the talk page since. I really would like to engage them in actually developing the article, but that is impossible if they will not respond. So I'd just like to proceed by continuing to develop the article. I have stuff to add to the shorter list per my notes at the Talk page, and I would appreciate your restoring it. Thanks, --doncram 21:06, 10 October 2015 (UTC)
.@Doncram: I have reverted it. I'll see if I can also help out with some of the potentially notable mosques.--Peaceworld 15:31, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

Ahmadiyya in Thailand

Hello, I'm an Ahmadi Muslim from Jakarta, Indonesia. I have some information about Ahmadiyyat in Thailand. According to our own monthly magazine, Sinar Islam, the seed of Ahmadiyyat in Thailand was planted in 1985 by an Indonesian missionary, Abdul Basit, whom became our Amir right now. And the missionary-in-charge of Thailand right now is Uung Kurnia, another Indonesian missionary. And in 2015, there are around 300 Ahmadi Muslims are in Thailand.[1] Mbee-wiki (talk) 03:04, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

@Mbee-wiki: Thank you for the information. While I am currently focusing on writing Ahmadiyya by country articles, and I have a number of them in the pipeline, I don't think I will have the time soon enough to write about "Ahmadiyya in Thailand". However, you are more than welcome and encouraged to write one yourself, if you have found sufficiently many sources.--Peaceworld 15:37, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
