Marion H. Beckett
Hello Osarius,
Thank you for your welcoming words to Wikipedia. I attended the Art + Feminism + Tacos event last Saturday and created a page with the gracious help of trainers there. It is titled Marion H. Beckett. I googled it and it didn't come up:
Marion H. Beckett Marion H. Beckett Wiki
I looked at my talk page and didn't find any reference to it, or it's deletion, but was able to open it from the event list that puts all the articles that we created that day:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/ArtandFeminism
I am very gratified to see that a picture I inserted for the page: Dawn Hampton (she has a german wiki page only despite being an american performer) remains. I inserted the note that I "improved" that page on the event page, as I have forgotten to do it on the day of the event. That note is in red.
Does it take a while for the bots to find and put a page into the search results?
Thanks, 23skid00 (talk) 03:53, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hi 23skid00. May I start by first saying thank you for contributing and expanding Wikipedia. I have read your article, and it has not been deleted. Wikipedia does not have any control over when Googlebot crawls Wikipedia for new or updated articles. I wouldn't be worried about an article not appearing on Google - it will in its own time; you should instead concentrate on continuing to make quality articles. Osarius - Want a chat? 11:21, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
I don't know why you renamed the article whilst the RM is ongoing. Therefore, I moved it back. --George Ho (talk) 17:26, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- Why? Well, it's been 7 days since the proposal and the proposal has no objections. Please tell me where I went wrong again? Osarius - Want a chat? 18:42, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- ...Sorry. You can move it again if you want, but you must also close the RM in the talk page as "moved without objections" or something like that. Link is above. --George Ho (talk) 19:10, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Poker Central
The article I created last night as a stub was nominated and deleted before I had the chance to respond (literally while I slept).
The reason for the deletion was because of A7, which I believe means that it lacks credibility or significance in general media.
However, even the most cursory Google search for the keyword "Poker Central" shows multiple News outlets discussing the upcoming poker channel.
The beginning of the article was set up last night and I returned here this morning to "clean it up" and flesh it out only to find that I cannot even work on the article without "permission" and a sort "blessing" from this Osarius person.
So, that's what I'm doing right now. I'm here waiting on you to "allow" me to create a page of significance for the entire poker community.
Thank you for not allowing me to work, but forcing me to wait for you before I can get back to work.
Yeah, I'm ticked off. PHroBro (talk) 16:41, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, I don't mean to "tick anyone off", but if the article doesn't meet the guidelines then it'll get tagged.
- Please note that I didn't delete the article, so that means not only I but the deleting administrator thought it didn't meet the guidelines.
- If you want the page back, you'll have to take that up with User:Peridon who was the deleting administrator.
- For future reference though, consider writing the article in your userspace and then move it into mainspace once it's ready. You can also place the {{in use}} or {{under construction}} tag on the page to tell other users that you are still working on the page. Osarius - Want a chat? 18:21, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
- @PHroBro: You need not seek anyone's permission to re-create your article. Only if it had been 'protected' from creation would you have to seek an administrator's help to get it unprotected. (Protection is applied when something is repeatedly deleted for being unsuitable.) Articles on Wikipedia must show significance to pass speedy deletion, but the general standard to aim at is notability (or else they will pass speedy, but be deleted at Proposed Deletion or Articles for Deletion). The notability policy here will be WP:WEB, but whatever policy is applied, there must be reliable independent sources WP:RS to prove it. I'm afraid that your knowledge (or mine, or even Jimmy Wales's) is not a reliable independent source. These sources must be published, not stored in a brain. Whatever your feelings on this matter, that is our procedure - and we even have a policy about original research WP:OR. As to waiting, please remember that we are all volunteers and a lot of us have work to do as well. We prefer new articles to be in Draft: space or in user space until they are ready to stand on their own feet. I suggest that if you try again, it should be at User:PHroBro/DRAFT. You can then ask for advice and help without the patrollers tagging it. In user space, they can only tag speedy for copyright violation, attack page, advertising/promotion, and hoax. (User pages can be tagged U5 for things that are not in accordance with WP:USERPAGE, but user space drafts are not liable to that.) I'm only passing through tonight and for a couple of days, but Osarius will probably be willing to give advice on the suitability of wording or references, and if they are not willing (or are not available), look at WP:CSD and ask anyone there - or ask at WP:TEAHOUSE. Peridon (talk) 17:43, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
I don't understand!
I haven't made an inappropriate page? Can you please elaborate.
- You have created 14 articles that have been speedily deleted because they do not meet Section A7 of the Criteria for Speedy Deletion, 9 of these have been since March this year.. As such, it appears you have not read the guidelines and are not willing to follow them. Therefore, you have been issued with a final warning to stop such behaviour. Please also do not forget to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). Osarius - Want a chat? 14:11, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

Question about notability
Hi
I'm currently writing a draft about an activist in Yemen who has had her articles published in newspapers from Al Arabiya, has had Tedx talk and is responsible for a day officially being declared no-Khat (khat is a drug) day. When it was first submitted it was deleted but I'm in the process of rewriting it with better references and more neutral content. Can you advise what more I can do to ensure it gets approved? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aden65 (talk • contribs) 17:11, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
How long will it take for a newly created page to be indexed by search engines?
Hi! My name is Louise :). I just created a page for my school. I searched it on different search engines in different browsers but it is not included in the search lists. My question is how long will it take for a newly-created page to be indexed by search engines such as Bing and Google. Thank you :) Motmoterz 23 (talk) 20:43, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Louise! Thank you for your contributions and I'm glad to welcome you to Wikipedia. To answer your question, no-one really knows. Search engines use web crawlers to discover new pages, so linking to your new page from other relevant existing articles can help these crawlers to discover the page. There are a lot of factors involved when indexing websites, and this isn't something Wikipedia can (easily) control as it's 99% automatic, though usually Wikipedia articles are indexed within a few hours. Hopefully you'll see it indexed soon, but don't make search engine indexing your main concern when editing Wikipedia. Osarius - Want a chat? 08:26, 3 January 2017 (UTC)

Joseph A Suneg
How is Suneg less notable than other American priests with Wikipedia entries that have not been up for outright deletion?!?!?
How is Suneg ("domestic prelate") less notable than this American priest ("Vicar General") with a Wikipedia entry?
I've clicked on pretty much EVERY entry...American priests...and below is a selection of those I think Suneg is comparable to who have Wikiepedia entries still up
Category:American Roman Catholic priests Jozef Cieminski Louis de Barth Vicar general
Apostolic adminstrator[edit] In 1814, Egan (now bishop of Philadelphia) promoted de Barth to the position of Vicar General.[11] Egan died shortly thereafter.[12] Until a suitable bishop could be found, Carroll, now Archbishop of Baltimore, appointed de Barth as the apostolic administrator.[11] De Barth tried to refuse this assignment, likely due to the ongoing disputes in Philadelphia between the clergy and the lay trustees of the city's parishes, but he eventually accepted and took temporary control of the diocese.[12] He spent little time in the city, leaving day-to-day control of the parishes there to Terrence McGill, a local priest.[12]
Carroll considered requesting de Barth's appointment as bishop, but decided against it because of de Barth's lack of theological study and reputation for having a quick temper.[13] Carroll died in 1815, and his successor, Leonard Neale, offered de Barth the position of bishop, but de Barth declined it. In a letter to Neale, de Barth wrote that
if you do not forward my objections [to the appointment] to the Holy See ... I will not accept, but will kneel down and devoutly put the bulls in the fire ... and then farewell, Monseigneur. Neither you nor anyone else shall ever know the corner of the globe where I shall vegetate the few years still left to me to live.[14]
Neale accepted de Barth's refusal, and the see remained vacant. In 1817, after Neale died, de Barth traveled to Baltimore to participate in the episcopal consecration of Neale's successor, Ambrose Maréchal.[b][15]
Because he expected the appointment of a new bishop soon, de Barth hesitated to take any drastic actions as administrator.[16] As such, he spent much of his time in the city and discipline, as one author later wrote, "became more and more relaxed."[16] The ongoing dispute between the lay trustees of St. Mary's Church and the church hierarchy grew more rancorous when de Barth assigned a new priest, William Hogan, to the diocese in 1820.[17] Hogan instantly took the side of the trustees against de Barth; Hogan's unusual behavior would eventually cause his excommunication, but not until de Barth's tenure as apostolic administrator had ended.[18]
After a vacancy of five years, the see of Philadelphia finally found a new bishop in Henry Conwell, an Irish-born priest who was installed in 1819 and arrived the next year, freeing de Barth to return to Conewago.[14] De Barth remained at Conewago until 1828 when Maréchal's successor in Baltimore, James Whitfield, appointed him pastor of St. John German Catholic Church in that city.[19] He served there for several years and when the parish closed in 1841, de Barth retired to Georgetown College in Washington, D.C., to live out his final years (his brother, John, lived nearby).[19][20] He died there on October 13, 1844, at the age of seventy-nine, and was buried in the cemetery of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Washington.[19]

Unable to get infobox template to work in sandbox
This is my first time trying to make an article so I've been experimenting in my sandbox. I've been trying to make an article for the limited Marvel Comic series called Death of X in my sandbox and I seem to be unable to get the relevant information onto the infobox. I've edited time and time again yet every time I do all that shows up in the infobox are the main image, the caption underneath the image, and the publisher. Everything else always gets ommitted because whenever I click on "show preview" all it says in red letters above the article is for example "Warning: Page using Template:Infobox comics organization with unknown parameter "startmo" (this message is shown only in preview)." It's doing that for all of the templates that I've been using except for the publisher. Below shows how I'm trying to set up the infobox, first how it looks and then underneath that you'll see the templates that I have been using that should be in the infobox but somehow never makes it in. Am I doing it incorrectly?
- Hi, please read the template documentation, as you seem to be using parameters that don't exist for that template. Osarius - Want a chat? 10:49, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
New Page Reviewer granted
Hello Osarius. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers
" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia, if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.
- URGENT: Please consider helping get the huge backlog (around 18,000 pages) down to a manageable number of pages as soon as possible.
- Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
- You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
- Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
- Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. Lord Roem ~ (talk) 18:49, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

Jiří Walker Procházka
Hi, Osarius, I wanted to insert a page named "Jiří Walker Procházka" in Wikipedia. The case is that this is a very good SF author who writes in Czech only. You see, I wanted to open the door a bit to the English speaking world for a really good "local" writer. (In Czech version of Wikipedia he has his place OK.) It is not the first time I did it. But this time I can not get through. Perhas the standards for new contributions went higher, but some grave mistake on my side is more likely. Will you be so kind as to have a look and give me some advice? I take the liberty to remind you that my goal was/is only to get this name to en-wikipedia. I started with a short stub and due to reactions gradualy expanded it to the actual version. It is still no good so I am considering giving up trying. Thank you. Erempari (talk) 15:08, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, the reviewer over at Articles for creation has given you enough information on your own talk page. You need to make you are adding credible and noteworthy information to the article. The reviewer has also given you a useful hint: "What this specifically needs is major independent news and book reviews." There is your starting point. Osarius - Want a chat? 10:52, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Well, for me the names Neff, Adamovič and Šust are a guarantee of a serious independent view. Book reviews in SF and literary magazines? There are dozens of them. But all this is in Czech and the names of the magazines are not known to you. I am afraid that by "independent news and book reviews" the reviewer means only English written sources. It seems that the reviwers can not read the sources in other languages and thus simply take them for not independent and not truthworthy. I understand that there is in the contemporary Wikipedia data enough to advance even with a simple filter like this. But I feel a bit offended by hints that I supply not credible and noteworthy information. We will let "Jiří Walker Procházka" only in https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ji%C5%99%C3%AD_Walker_Proch%C3%A1zka for some time. Thank you for trying to help.
- Erempari (talk) 21:43, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, I've taken the liberty of cleaning up the page, fixing references and external links, and adding an infobox to the article. I've also resubmitted it to AfC. I'm not guaranteeing that even this version will be accepted, but it's a good start. I think half of the issue possibly was the fact you'd put bare URLs in the reference tags - we should instead be using Template:Cite web or Template:Cite book inside the reference tags. Please be aware that the reviewers aren't there to offend, but this is what the whole process at AfC is about - we'd rather have good articles that have gone through peer review than bad articles that haven't. It's just a case of being patient, following the guidelines and slowly improving the articles. I should also point out that English Wikipedia and Czech Wikipedia are seperate, and have their own processes and methods - something that is acceptable on one may not be on the other. Good luck, and I hope to see you keep contributing to Wikipedia. Osarius - Want a chat? 08:34, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, Osarius. Let me thank you for your work. I did not intend to force you to do it, but I am very glad that the page got the right treatment. You see, I added several pages of this kind to English Wikipedia a long time ago quite well, but it is a history now. I visit them from time to time to update by adding small items but I haven´t open a new page for years. Please accept greetings from "DOS time" dinosaur. Next time - I promise - I will advance twice as carefully. (BTW - You provided me with an excellent example for any possible future attempt.) :-)
- Thank you for your kind help and let me wish you a lot of co-operation with better contributors than me.

- Hi CRydberg3 (talk · contribs). Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. There is a lot going on with the page Fr. Larry R. Richards since you created it. I can see the page has been cleaned up, to meet the Wikipedia style guidelines. Also, the bare links you added as references have been turned into proper citations. Other editors have stepped in and re-written some of the sections. Please note, there is no requirement for anyone to notify you about what is happening to the article - you don't own the article, and any editor is free to edit the article. There is also currently an Articles for Deletion discussion occurring about the article - however note we don't vote on these articles - we use consensus. I hope this brings to light what is happening to the article. Osarius - Want a chat? 07:47, 7 May 2017 (UTC)
I have unreviewed a page you curated
Hi, I'm Sadads. I wanted to let you know that I saw the page you reviewed, Gaétan Huot, and have un-reviewed it again. If you have any questions, please ask them on my talk page. Thank you.
Sadads (talk) 01:02, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- Um, why? You marked it as reviewed again straight after. Osarius - Want a chat? 10:52, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry: that was an error on my part: the status on the patrolling tool didn't load as quickly as it normally does, and I didn't realize that it left a talk page message (not for next time). I am happy to give feedback or advise on developing articles though. Sadads (talk) 14:56, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
Fr. Larry Richards Page
Hello! I am just curious how this all works then. I based this page off of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Barron_(bishop) and noticed all his publications and DVDs and CDs were on the page. So I formatted it the same way. I am just trying to figure out how I can add more information to the page, as an editor. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CRydberg3 (talk • contribs) 19:34, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
New Page Review - Newsletter No.4
Since rolling out the right in November, just 6 months ago, we now have 804 reviewers, but the backlog is still mysteriously growing fast. If every reviewer did just 55 reviews, the 22,000 backlog would be gone, in a flash, schwoop, just like that!
But do remember: Rather than speed, quality and depth of patrolling and the use of correct CSD criteria are essential to good reviewing. Do not over-tag. Make use of the message feature to let the creator know about your maintenance tags. See the tutorial again HERE. Get help HERE.

Advice desired on draft article from novice contributer
Hi Osarius,
I'm a new contributor to Wikipedia; my first effort is a biography about the Austrian etching artist, Josef Eidenberger. Link to draft: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Josef_Eidenberger_(artist).
The article was not accepted because the reviewer felt that notability had not been established and that verifiable references did not meet expectations. I did have initial trepidations given that this is my first effort but also felt confident because I thought my draft had established notability to a greater extent and with more credible references when compared to a Wikipedia article about an Austrian etching artist, Luigi Kasimir who was a direct contemporary and peer of Eidenberger.
I would deeply appreciate any advice you might have on how to strengthen the article enough to achieve acceptance. I realize that I might be fighting an uphill battle because the biography has been written based on many small pieces of information as opposed to one or two pre-existing treatises on his life.
In addition to what is in the present draft, I have located his works in two more museums and could add those links. His works are vended by numerous well-established art galleries in the US, Austrian and Germany but I'm not sure whether that counts for much in establishing notability of an artist.
Your suggestions are appreciated.

Replaceable fair use File:KarachoRollercoaster.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:KarachoRollercoaster.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Elisfkc (talk) 01:09, 27 October 2017 (UTC)

ArbCom 2017 election voter message
Hello, Osarius. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 12713 pages. Please consider reviewing even just a few pages each day! If everyone helps out, it will really put a dent in the backlog.
- Currently the backlog stretches back to March and some pages in the backlog have passed the 90 day Google index point. Please consider reviewing some of them!
Outreach and Invitations:
- If you know other editors with a good understanding of Wikipedia policy, invite them to join NPP by dropping the invitation template on their talk page with:
{{subst:NPR invite}}
. Adding more qualified reviewers will help with keeping the backlog manageable.
New Year New Page Review Drive
- A backlog drive is planned for the start of the year, beginning on January 1st and running until the end of the month. Unique prizes will be given in tiers for both the total number of reviews made, as well as the longest 'streak' maintained.
- Note: quality reviewing is extremely important, please do not sacrifice quality for quantity.
General project update:
- ACTRIAL has resulted in a significant increase in the quality of new submissions, with noticeably fewer CSD, PROD, and BLPPROD candidates in the new page feed. However, the majority of the backlog still dates back to before ACTRIAL started, so consider reviewing articles from the middle or back of the backlog.
- The NPP Browser can help you quickly find articles with topics that you prefer to review from within the backlog.

New Years new page backlog drive
Announcing the NPP New Year Backlog Drive!
We have done amazing work so far in December to reduce the New Pages Feed backlog by over 3000 articles! Now is the time to capitalise on our momentum and help eliminate the backlog!
The backlog drive will begin on January 1st and run until January 29th. Prize tiers and other info can be found HERE.
Awards will be given in tiers in two categories:
- The total number of reviews completed for the month.
- The minimum weekly total maintained for all four weeks of the backlog drive.
NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.

Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 3819 unreviewed articles, with a further 6660 unreviewed redirects.
- We are very close to eliminating the backlog completely; please help by reviewing a few extra articles each day!
New Year Backlog Drive results:
- We made massive progress during the recent four weeks of the NPP Backlog Drive, during which the backlog reduced by nearly six thousand articles and the length of the backlog by almost 3 months!
General project update:
- ACTRIAL will end it's initial phase on the 14th of March. Our goal is to reduce the backlog significantly below the 90 day index point by the 14th of March. Please consider helping with this goal by reviewing a few additional pages a day.
- Reviewing redirects is an important and necessary part of New Page Patrol. Please read the guideline on appropriate redirects for advice on reviewing redirects. Inappropriate redirects can be re-targeted or nominated for deletion at RfD.

New Page Review Newsletter No.10
ACTRIAL:
- ACTRIAL's six month experiment restricting new page creation to (auto)confirmed users ended on 14 March. As expected, a greatly increased number of unsuitable articles and candidates for deletion are showing up in the feed again, and the backlog has since increased already by ~30%. Please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day.
Paid editing
- Now that ACTRIAL is inoperative pending discussion, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary.
Subject-specific notability guidelines
- The box at the right contains each of the subject-specific notability guidelines, please review any that are relevant BEFORE nominating an article for deletion.
- Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves with the new version of the notability guidelines for organisations and companies. A further discussion is currently taking place at: Can a subject specific guideline invalidate the General Notability Guideline?
Nominate competent users for Autopatrolled
- While patrolling articles, if you find an editor that is particularly competent at creating quality new articles, and that user has created more than 25 articles (rather than stubs), consider nominating them for the 'Autopatrolled' user right HERE.
News
- The next issue Wikipedia's newspaper The Signpost has now been published after a long delay. There are some articles in it, including ACTRIAL wrap-up that will be of special interest to New Page Reviewers. Don't hesitate to contribute to the comments sections. The Signpost is one of the best ways to stay up date with news and new developments - please consider subscribing to it. All editors of Wikipedia and associated projects are welcome to submit articles on any topic for consideration by the The Signpost's editorial team for the next issue.

NPR Newsletter No.11 25 May 2018
ACTRIAL:
- WP:ACREQ has been implemented. The flow at the feed has dropped back to the levels during the trial. However, the backlog is on the rise again so please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day; a backlog approaching 5,000 is still far too high. An effort is also needed to ensure that older unsuitable older pages at the back of the queue do not get automatically indexed for Google.
Deletion tags
- Do bear in mind that articles in the feed showing the trash can icon may have been tagged by inexperienced or non NPR rights holders. They require your further verification.
Backlog drive:
- A backlog drive will take place from 10 through 20 June. Check out our talk page at WT:NPR for more details. NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.
Editathons
- There will be a large increase in the number of editathons in June. Please be gentle with new pages that obviously come from good faith participants, especially articles from developing economies and ones about female subjects. Consider using the 'move to draft' tool rather than bluntly tagging articles that may have potential but which cannot yet reside in mainspace.
Paid editing - new policy
- Now that ACTRIAL is ACREQ, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary. There is a new global WMF policy that requires paid editors to connect to their adverts.
Subject-specific notability guidelines
- The box at the right contains each of the subject-specific notability guidelines, please review any that are relevant BEFORE nominating an article for deletion.
- Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves with the new version of the notability guidelines for organisations and companies.
Not English
- A common issue: Pages not in English or poor, unattributed machine translations should not reside in main space even if they are stubs. Please ensure you are familiar with WP:NPPNE. Check in Google for the language and content, tag as required, then move to draft if they do have potential.
News
- Development is underway by the WMF on upgrades to the New Pages Feed, in particular ORES features that will help to identify COPYVIOs, and more granular options for selecting articles to review.
- The next issue of The Signpost has been published. The newspaper is one of the best ways to stay up to date with news and new developments. between our newsletters.

Fr. Larry Richards Page
Hello. Last year I was trying to put together a page for Fr. Larry Richards and it kept getting deleted. I will admit I do work for him at his Foundation and I realized that was part of the problem. While I also tried to explain that and the many other reasons his page was deleted multiple times, he still would like to have a Wikipedia page ASAP. I am wondering where to begin with making this happen. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CRydberg3 (talk • contribs) 16:24, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
