Arbitration

  • A motion has standardised the 500/30 (extended confirmed) restrictions placed by the Arbitration Committee. The standardised restriction is now listed in the Arbitration Committee's procedures.
  • Following the closure of the Iranian politics case, standard discretionary sanctions are authorized for all edits about, and all pages related to, post-1978 Iranian politics, broadly construed.
  • The Arbitration Committee encourages uninvolved administrators to use the discretionary sanctions procedure in topic areas where it is authorised to facilitate consensus in RfCs. This includes, but is not limited to, enforcing sectioned comments, word/diff limits and moratoriums on a particular topic from being brought in an RfC for up to a year.

Miscellaneous

  • Editors have approved expanding the trial of Growth Features from 2% of new accounts to 25%, and the share of newcomers getting mentorship from 2% to 5%. Experienced editors are invited to add themselves to the mentor list.
  • The community consultation phase of the 2021 CheckUser and Oversight appointments process is open for editors to provide comments and ask questions to candidates.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. TWA

Hey! So I see that you are still active but I'm wondering if you're even working on improving The Wikipedia Adventure anymore as there are some things that should definitely be changed that have been suggested. ― Blaze The WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:18, 8 October 2021 (UTC)

Hi Blaze The Wolf! I have to confess I'm all out of time for fixes. It's been this way for a while. I know the script and code need improvements and I am more than happy to hand that over to any willing and able volunteer. If I can help with that, please let me know. Meanwhile, I've reached out to a few developers myself to update the code but don't have a timeline for fixes. So if you want to collaborate on turning over TWA maintenance and management, I'm game. Cheers, Ocaasi t | c 17:08, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
I'd love to assist in cleaning up and fixing the code! While currently I don't really know a lot about how stuff like this is written, I tend to be a quick learner when I'm dealing with it hands on which can really help me out. Thanks for letting me know that you don't have time anymore to fix it. ― Blaze The WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:40, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
Although in order to do so I would have to know where the code for TWA is actually located. ― Blaze The WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:33, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
Here is the location of everything: Wikipedia:The_Wikipedia_Adventure/Index. Poke around... Ocaasi t | c 19:20, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:33, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
