Welcome

Welcome!

Hello, Nyttend, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  --Nlu (talk) 04:12, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

I have received one of your citations, which appears to be a mild ownership statement and which could also be considered original research. If you have a verifiable citation, please insert it. Thanks. --Nlu (talk) 04:12, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

That's most definitely original research. I missed the prohibition of such, so I'll be removing it. Thanks very much! Nyttend 04:37, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Greetings from Bellefontaine!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Nyttend! I noticed your edits on several articles on Logan County topics. Are you from Bellefontaine or environs, by chance? -- SwissCelt 03:34, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Yes, Belle Center. Thanks for your greetings! Nyttend 04:23, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Ohio highway articles

Good luck with the Ohio state highway articles. I hope your experience with them is better than the experience I've had with Minnesota state highways. My experience with them -- particularly in regard to naming conventions -- has basically been very miserable lately. --Elkman - (Elkspeak) 23:05, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Ohio Shields

Greetings. I have the shields created, but haven't uploaded yet. We at WP:OHSH are in the process of making some changes to the standards for state route articles, and those changes include an upgraded infobox and a change in the naming convention for the route shields to OH-X.svg (thru XXX). So hang tight for a little bit – I hope to get things going soon. Regards, Homefryes 08:47, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Cool, thanks for your patience and for your contributions. I'm hoping we can move forward soon. This overhaul is not really associated with the debate, actually. I just initiated the proposal for improvements and a better set of article standards. Regards, Homefryes 15:45, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions and have fun editing! —Mirlen 21:19, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Please don't systematically change "Oe" to "Œ"

Oecumenical Patriarch makes sense, Œcumenical Patriarch doesn't [1], so I reverted your change to the Emperor article. --Francis Schonken 07:18, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Presbyterian Church of Australia

Hi. Thanks for your edit to Presbyterian Church of Australia. It really clarified the section. Blarneytherinosaur 02:27, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Jeremy Rifkin photo question

Hi Nyttend. Against your wishes, I've answered your question in-place at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions#Picture of celebrity? so that others can see the answer and give additional opinions. Regards ×Meegs 15:22, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Well, what I meant was that I wanted someone to let me know on my talk page :-) Thanks! Nyttend 15:48, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

thanks

HI Nyttend,

Thanks for the edits to:

  • Saisiyat language
  • Kavalan language
  • Taiwanese aborigines

I'm a long-suffering Bengals fan, and is Jeremy Rifkin the guy who wrote a book about entropy? I read it as a teen and loved it (but not sure I'd love it now). --Ling.Nut 02:08, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi, Natthaniel. Sorry it's been about a month for me to respond to your post on Benjamin Logan, but I've recently changed my address to somewhere underneath a mountain of HW. As for the punctuation it's not my strongsuit, but I'll correct what I find wrong. PS You like Rush ? I thought you were better/smarter than that, man! --SuperWikiman 17:36, November 1 2006 (UTC)

Headline text

Good to see you, Nathaniel!I've learned a lot about you on your page I didn't know. Are you really Jewish? I look forward to working with you on Wikipedia! --SuperWikiman 07:59, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

DANFS

Why don't you just add the DANFS category to {{DANFS}}? Much less work. --J Clear 04:43, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

I really don't know much of anything about templates. Don't know how to edit them, create them, even see what they look like except when they're used on pages. Nyttend 06:51, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Since they did not significantly change the page (save perhaps the "notable staff" section removal), they are indeed minor. In any case, it's rather pointless to discuss it now, since one cannot change the status of the edit. Blast 11.30.06 0847 (UTC -5)

Very true :-) Nyttend 14:12, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

the Olympics

hello, Nyttend. I have noticed that you have created/edited some templates and pages concerning nations at the olympics. {{NationsinOlympics}} for example. Some editors on the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Sports Olympics page have some concerns about this. It appears that some redundancy has occured. Many templates and pages have already been created to handle such info. {{Infobox Olympics United States}} and {{NOCin2004SummerOlympics}} are examples. These templates have been created/edited by Andrwsc, and he has put alot of time and effort into them. They have been used extensively in their repective pages. If you have been unaware that such work has already been done, that's fine. I welcome anyone who wants to work on these pages and hope that you can work with us at the Wikipedia:WikiProject Sports Olympics page. Perakhantu 07:47, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Re: Church Membership (Edonovan)

No, I'm a member of Faith Reformed Presbyterian in Quarryville, though I'm doing an internship up in Boston right now, so I go to Christ the King, a PCA congregation with sites in Cambridge and (as of this month) Dorchester, where I currently live.

By the way, do you know Adam Parsons? I met him while studying abroad in Oxford; he's a senior at Geneva College. Evan Donovan 00:36, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

It's PCA. Glad to hear you know Adam; he's a brilliant guy and a good friend. Evan Donovan 00:42, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Zagreb advertisement tag

Hello Nyttend. I removed your tag since you're completely unaware of numerous changes made in that article since 2003. I can testify that because I made most of them. I hope you won't persist in tagging that article again. By the way, thanks for editing the article and cleaning up a bunch of stuff. Have a nice day! Jajaniseva 10:40, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Re. Yerevan

Hello. I have included the content you requested on Yerevan#Geography_and_climate. Please see if it's ok. Regards,--Húsönd 18:08, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome. Keep up the good work. :-) Regards.--Húsönd 18:10, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
