Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from COVID-19 pandemic in Metro Manila into Isko Moreno. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 13:52, 31 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for this info. Much appreciated. Will do moving forward. Nuwordlife0rder (talk) 08:59, 1 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Improper use of infobox

[edit]

Having a YouTube channel doesn't make you a YouTube personality, and Infobox YouTube template is intended to be used for YouTube personalities only. You can remove this template from the politician-related articles you mentioned earlier if you based this just because you have seen it from those articles you mentioned. —Princess Faye (my talk) 16:09, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube personality by politician

[edit]

Why user Wikipedia princess faye deleted politicians' YouTube channels and why LancePHYT (talk) 04:30, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@LancePHYT: Infobox for YouTube personalities is intended to be used by YouTube personality-related articles, not politicians, see. They're politicians. Having a YouTube channel doesn't make you a YouTube personality. They're became popular for being a politician, not a YouTuber. —Princess Faye (my talk) 07:38, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
They're not even notable for being a YouTube personality, no reasons to include that. Putting their YouTube channels again is just like you are promoting their channels. —Princess Faye (my talk) 07:50, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize about their YouTube to politicians

[edit]

I apologize about that on the YouTube channel of politicians and I don't know that it's political porpuses and I apologize Princess Faye(Ctrlwiki) and thank you again... LancePHYT (talk) 08:26, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Isko Moreno, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Crash course. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

License tagging for File:PH seal of Cauayan, Negros Occidental.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:PH seal of Cauayan, Negros Occidental.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Carl Balita

[edit]

The other editor didn't create a new article about Carl Balita from scratch, they merely moved your draft from draftspace to mainspace without waiting for it to be reviewed at AFC -- which means that the draft wasn't its own separate thing that would still have to be assessed independently of what happened to the mainspace article anymore, because the mainspace article was the draft and the only thing left in draftspace was a redirect to the mainspace article.

So whatever happens to it in mainspace, such as speedy deletion on G11 (advertorialized promotion) grounds, is its status in draft form, because the article and the draft were the same thing. (The person who had tagged it for speedy deletion also admittedly tagged it G4 (recreation of previously deleted content), but that wasn't really applicable because it was very different in structure and sourcing from the original version that was deleted at AFD a few years ago -- but the advertorialism tag was still applicable, especially since the draft had already been rejected once before for the same reason.

Under the circumstances, I'm willing to restore the page back to draftspace again, but it won't be able to stay in the pending review queue as if the speedy deletion hadn't already covered that off -- it is going to require further improvement before it can be resubmitted, because the article was literally your draft moved into mainspace and so the speedy deletion that happened was essentially a "review" of the draft. Bearcat (talk) 12:43, 6 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thank you for the response. I totally understand the aforementioned circumstances and I apologize if the other editor made such a move. The editor should have waited for the AFC review just like what I was doing before it was deleted. May you restore the original draftspace again please? I will do the necessary improvement, comply whatever needs to be complied, and resubmit it accordingly. Thank you so much for clearing this and I really appreciate your help. Cheers! Hi Nuwordlife0rder. I noticed you are adding facebook links to multiple articles, and I was wondering what reason is behind that. Per WP:ELMINOFFICIAL we usually include only one official link (the article subject's website), and not additional social media links. – NJD-DE (talk) 09:04, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! In the Philippines, nowadays, schools are more actively using Facebook as their primary site. Websites are less often used in the country since Facebook has a wider reach. Some schools even terminated their website in favor of their official Facebook page. Please let me know if you have further questions. Nuwordlife0rder (talk) 09:08, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, but as long as there is an official website and it is linked in the el-section, there is no need to add a Facebook link. – NJD-DE (talk) 09:11, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. This is noted. Nuwordlife0rder (talk) 09:13, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries and citations

[edit]
On the article Philippine Independent Church you seem to forget adding an edit summary. You can change the setting to remind you and can make a dummy edit to include one forgotten. This is an important aspect of Wikipedia. Also, you have made a number of contributions without sources. This is not just important but required on any contribution that is contested or might be contested.
