[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Marina Abramović has been reverted.
Your edit here to Marina Abramović was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiWEOHYzs-Y&list=PLv5XCP04bNWHjqaMXy2BbXKict3QWBTe8&index=1) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. music or video) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 16:02, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
- Please do not just revert the bot, please fix your problems. It is looking horribly like spam, and a vested interest in NEON. There is an expectation that vested or conflicts of interest are expressed, see WP:COI — billinghurst sDrewth 09:42, 26 July 2018 (UTC)

July 2024
[edit]Hello Np 7 13. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:NEON (organization), gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Np 7 13. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Np 7 13|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:08, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hello Justlettersandnumbers, I am not expecting a compensation for my edits from neither organization I have edited nor have been asked to edit Wikipedia. Maybe I relied too heavily on the organization's website while writing this draft but I thought I was within the terms of Wikipedia as I used quotes from legitimate press articles, inserted footnotes and followed other similar articles format. Can I try to review to make more objective to better suit Wikipedia's policy. Np 7 13 (talk) 10:48, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
- So, are you telling us that you do not receive, have never received, and do not ever expect to receive, any payment or reward of any kind from either the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation or the Neon organisation? Because if you do, have or will, you're considered to be paid editor in this project, and are expected to adhere closely to our guidance for such editors. AfC notification: Draft:NEON (organization) has a new comment
[edit]- Hello Theroadislong, thank you for your comment. I took this specific phrase you list on your comment from the organizations website but also from an article on Artsy https://www.artsy.net/article/artsy-editorial-greek-billionaire-championing-contemporary-art-abroad which states "NEON works in association with a range of cultural institutions and backs the programs of public and private organizations, all in the name of increasing access to contemporary art among people from all walks of life—consequently, all its programming is free." and it was listed as a source. I wish to try to edit the article and make it better if I may. As mentioned in another comment above, I am not expecting compensation for my edits but I am very new at this (I have less than 80 edits and only 3 attempts on an article, this one being the first to actually discuss. I might have made mistakes I wish to try and review. Thank you! Np 7 13 (talk) 10:54, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
