Welcome!

Hello, NostalgiaBuff97501, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! The article The Shepherd's Chapel has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no real evidence of notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. DGG ( talk ) 04:20, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

All of the information posted on the page came from their website. I'm not sure what other information you need other than what's at the website. While I don't believe their philosophy myself, they are out there. If they see your proposal for deletion, they would viamently protest saying that they are the real deal. Please go to their website and and continue to study it to see if what is written is proper. NostalgiaBuff97501 (talk) 13:32, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Wikipedia works a little differently. We need independent "reliable sources" to verify the material in the article and to show that the subject is "notable". These independent sources would most likely take the form of books or newspaper articles that talk about Shepherd's Chapel and/or its leaders. Please take a look at the page Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources for more detail. --Arxiloxos (talk) 15:30, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Fullerton Flyers Main Logo.png

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Fullerton Flyers Main Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 05:56, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited San Rafael Pacifics, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Albert Park (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:55, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.

I am not reporting you per se, only your actions so they can be fixed. In future, you should move the original page to the new name by clicking on move. Once you've moved the content you need to edit the redirect to become the disambiguation page. This way all the edit history for the original page stays with the content. Shootmaster 44 (talk) 19:48, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:KQMS NewsTalk .png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Armbrust, B.Ed. Nomination of KDQT for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article KDQT is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/KDQT until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. License tagging for File:US Cellular Park sign north entrance.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:US Cellular Park sign north entrance.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:05, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Michael Porter WWF Ring Announcer.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Michael Porter WWF Ring Announcer.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. LGA talkedits 22:33, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

The copyright owner, Mr. Porter, is now deceased. Years prior to his death, he granted me permission to use his photo for promotional and educational purposes, which included his now-defunct website and Wikipedia. The small company that now bears his name is owner of his internet radio show and all photos. NostalgiaBuff97501 (talk) 22:37, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

You need to provide a link or details of that permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. LGA talkedits 23:03, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:KNVN NBC 24 Logo 2004.png)

Thanks for uploading File:KNVN NBC 24 Logo 2004.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:26, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

Ottawa Canadian Football League team

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Ottawa Canadian Football League team a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you.

Uh, that says the official announcement is June 8. That's when it'll be official. - BilCat (talk) 20:17, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Figaro's Pizza

Hello NostalgiaBuff97501,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Figaro's Pizza for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Barney the barney barney (talk) 22:03, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on DC Sports & Entertainment, LLC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. And Adoil Descended (talk) 21:39, 22 August 2013 (UTC)

Siskiyou County

Greetings, I reverted most of your edit on Siskiyou County, California because that information was already in the article! You added a whole paragraph in history when the information was already present in Politics! I kept your one sentence about Pearl Harbor stopping the movement and kept your anonymous CBS article, but also kept the longer and more detailed citations that were placed there by other editors yesterday. File:Charlotte Hornets proposed logo 2014.png listed for deletion

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Charlotte Hornets proposed logo 2014.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why it has been listed (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry). Feel free to add your opinion on the matter below the nomination. Thank you. Mosmof (talk) 21:02, 25 November 2013 (UTC)

That IS the proposed logo and is being displayed as such. It's only fair to have that up as a way to promote the franchise's upcoming change back to the Hornets. All procedures were followed and speedy deletion will show their fans that Wikipedia doesn't care. Do you want that on your conscience? NostalgiaBuff97501 (talk) 03:12, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
Nope, it's a fan-created concept displayed on a fan blog. And it's even more clear on the latest post, which says, "They also mentioned in the press release that the next steps in the process will be deciding what the Mascot, Court, Cheerleaders and logo will look like", meaning nothing on the bringbackthebuzz.wordpress.com should be treated as official, which the "proposed logo" text implies. It's basically unheard of for a corporation to use user-submitted art unless there's a specific logo design concept soliciting submissions.
And it's not Wikipedia's job to promote a corporate entity's marketing push with unofficial fan art. And Wikipedia doesn't care because Wikipedia doesn't care about anything. So yes, we should follow procedures, delete the image and show the fans that Wikipedia doesn't care.
Anyway, you're more than welcome to join the discussion here. Mosmof (talk) 14:37, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
Well, it's not on the page anymore. SO it's a moot point. NostalgiaBuff97501 (talk) 22:19, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of United States Lacrosse League

Hello NostalgiaBuff97501,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged United States Lacrosse League for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ironholds (talk) 04:09, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

  • I never got a chance to contest the deletion of the original page, which in my humble opinion is unfair. I know the founder and chairman of the league and he gave me exclusive permission to quote from the website. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact him at nick@theusll.com to get verification. NostalgiaBuff97501 (talk) 04:15, 28 January 2014 (UTC)

Yakima Valley Pippins

Thank you for adding your contributions to the Yakima Valley Pippins. But please add some reference to the page, and do you research because, where you put the words 'are a future collegiate wood bat baseball', is dearly false because the team is current and not a future team. And the infobox template you added is being considered for a merge, thus if it did merge with another infobox it would cause some need for revamp and thus causing us to waste time on something more important. And further more as the West Coast League Wikipedia editor I would appreciate it if you took these under consideration.Defan24 (talk) 20:30, 26 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, NostalgiaBuff97501. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Yuma Desert Ghosts, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. JacobiJonesJr (talk) 08:57, 25 May 2014 (UTC)
