Your AfD close on 2015 Shuvat Rachel shooting
Since you did not mention exactly what was used to determine consensus, I am limiting myself to !votes. I would like to point out that out of the 7 "keep" !votes, 4 of them are brand new editors with few, if any edits to WP. I count 7 "delete" !votes (including the nom), all by established editors here. In light of the rampant sockpuppetry which exists in this area, you might wish to reconsider your close. Kingsindian ♝♚ 11:28, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Kingsindian: While AfD is not based upon a vote count, three out of the six straight keep !votes were from established users. Those from SPAs were mostly guideline-based. There is an overall disagreement in the discussion about whether or not the topic is aligned with having enduring notability, as per WP:NOTNEWS. Those for deletion generally stated that this is the case, whereas several for article retention countered this (e.g. "No lasting impact; Wikipedia is not a daily newspaper" versus "The case received much int'l coverage and over a month later, there are still articles that mention it". North America1000 16:02, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Northamerica1000: I know that AfD is not based on a vote count, but as I said above, since your closing comment was very brief, and did not mention any of the reasons behind the close, I only mentioned the !votes in my comment. Of course, three of the keep votes were from established users (as I said in my comment already) and I am not discounting them. But I find it very strange that you give a high weight to the SPAs !votes and reasoning. Do you not find it strange that these SPAs made their first or second edits on an AfD and nothing elsewhere, and immediately give plausible-sounding policy based justifications? Hell, when I was a newbie, I did not even know that AfD existed, much less policies used to delete pages. If you are aware of the routine sockpuppetry that goes on in this area (see User:NoCal100 and User:Wlglunight93 for example), you would immediately see something very suspicious here. Kingsindian ♝♚ 16:12, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- Regarding the potential for sock puppetry having occurred, you can initaite an investigation at WP:SPI, which requires evidence in the form of diffs. I never stated that I give a “high weight” to SPAs, you did. Do you think those !votes should be discounted entirely? This may not be the most fair way of assessing the matter. Ultimately, I closed the discussion as no consensus because no consensus formed in the discussion. North America1000 16:47, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- I want to add another tidbit to this. These same SPAs only other edits was to Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Shooting_of_Danny_Gonen, where they, equally emphatically, using the exact same arguments, voted to Keep. That one was deleted because no established users supported their silly arguments. Kingsindian ♝♚ 16:41, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response. I will open a formal deletion review for this. Kingsindian ♝♚ 16:51, 12 August 2015 (UTC)

FYI and requesting help
You might want to know that a new user who is editing only disruptively has copied and pasted your User page to their user page, has added top-icons indicating permissions he obviously doesn't have - this includes your administrator top-icon. My guess is he's a block-evading sock. I've already tried reverting it and discussing on his talk page. Refuses to do anything differently. Has been causing havoc in several areas of the encyclopedia. He's been reported to the vandalism noticeboard, nothing has come of it yet other than him adding a "not vandalism" resolution to the entry. If you're around, your help in this would certainly be appreciated. See his user space here. -- WV ● ✉ ✓ 21:30, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Winkelvi: Thanks for the notification. I have removed some content from the user page and warned the user on their talk page. North America1000 20:17, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
Thank you
- I have removed content from your user page, such as topicons denoting permissions that you do not have on Wikipedia, projects that you are not a member of, links to articles created pages you did not create, etc. North America1000 20:16, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
- (N.b. The above was copied here from User talk:No names left!! abcd, by No names left!! abcd.) North America1000 14:34, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you, Northamerica. As noted on that page, I did state that there are wrong user boxes and that it was a work in progress. I was slowly working on removing things that I didn't want but when you edit, the pictures and boxes are replaced by words and codes, making it much harder to decipher. Thank you for helping out. There are some others that I want to remove but will work on that in the near future. No names left!! abcd (talk) 22:56, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
Can you help me?
Hello Northamerica1000,
I have a problem - please look here. Instead of editing my post, he has deleted my post. Unfortunately, he does not understand why his type of editing is wrong in this case. Can you help me please? Many thanks in advance. Greetings --Serols (talk) 11:41, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Serols: Rather than reverting, it is my opinion that it's more formal to manually remove the entry from WP:AIV, rather than reverting as was performed. Note that the User:HBC AIV helperbot5 bot typically automatically performs this after a user that has been reported to AIV is blocked. North America1000 12:49, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- Essentially, reverting, manual removal or letting the bot perform it all create the final end result, though. North America1000 12:51, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- Hello Northamerica1000, thank you for your answer and thanks for your help. Greetings --Serols (talk) 15:31, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
