Nomination for deletion of Template:EPHL Arenas

[edit]

Template:EPHL Arenas has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. Thank you. Uvaduck (talk) 19:21, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Burlington County Footlighters, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Andante1980 13:13, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Kingsgate Mall

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Kingsgate Mall, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

No information here other than the city the mall is in

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

Notability of Lincoln Mall

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Lincoln Mall, by Marwood (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Lincoln Mall seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Lincoln Mall, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 10:14, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Cinnaminson Mall

[edit]

Cinnaminson Mall, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Cinnaminson Mall satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cinnaminson Mall and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Cinnaminson Mall during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Prime Restaurants, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.primerestaurants.com. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Speedy deletion of Green Technologies, Inc.

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Green Technologies, Inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ukexpat (talk) 15:33, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Using non-free images

[edit]

I removed the images Image:Amtrak Logo.svg and Image:BCRESHR.jpg from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge article twice because their usage violates WP:NFC and WP:LOGO. WP:NFC requires that all copyrighted images include in their talk pages a fair use rationale for each article they appear on. These images only have fair use rationales for the Amtrak and Bay Coast Railroad articles respectively. Also, because these images are logos, WP:LOGO also applies. It states that the images should only be used to accompany text on the company, organization, etc. that the logo represents, so their usage in the Chesapeake Bay Bridge article can't be justified. Please don't re-add them without first discussing this on Talk:Chesapeake Bay Bridge.-Jeff (talk) 23:03, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I noticed that you edited someone else's comment for clarity, spelling or grammar. As a rule, please refrain from editing others' comments without their permission. Though it may appear helpful to correct typing errors, grammar, etc., please do not go out of your way to bring talk pages to publishing standards, since it is not terribly productive and will tend to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Store lists

[edit]

Please do not add store lists to retail articles again, and especially don't call my removal of said lists "Vandalism". There has been a community consensus for quite some time now that store articles should not have lists of locations, especially with defunct chains where locations may be hard to verify. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Bloomingdale's locations as a recent example of a discussion where store lists were nixed. A tag has been placed on Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. VRE station table(s)

[edit]

Hey. Just saw your reworking of the station listing table at the Virginia Railway Express article. While I agree that sortable tables are a good idea, I don't believe that combining the Manassas and Fredricksburg lines into one table works all that well, as they only have four stations in common. Also, the default listing order placing the outer stations first puts Zone 1 last, which seems counterintuitive. When one clicks on the sort button to list the Zone 1 first, L'Enfant Plaza shows up first.

I guess, to sum up, I believe the table's default sort should be reversed to list Union Station first, and maybe two seperate tables for each seperate line should be created. I'd experiment with it myself, but I currently only have access via my iPhone, which doesn't allow for easy editing of tables. oknazevad (talk) 02:59, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Big Squaw Mountain Resort, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Co-ordinates for Blackbaud

Thanks for supplying the full address for the Blackbaud head office. However, I have removed the co-ordinates - in my opinion, a corporation is not a geographical entity and does not "exist" in a single location, even if it does have a specific headquarters (we don't have geographical co-ordinates for Google or Microsoft, for example). I hope you agree, but if not, please do feel free to discuss further either here (I'll watch this page for few days) or on the Blackbaud talk page. --OpenToppedBus - Talk to the driver 11:13, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
