Cesura Photo Group
[edit]Why was the Cesura photo group page deleted? It is a well established activity with relevant role in international media, information and photography. Please restore the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dionigi (talk • contribs) 22:36, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- This was the entire content of the article: "Cesura is an indipendent photographers group founded in 2008 by Alessandro Sala, Andrea Rocchelli, Arianna Arcara, Gabriele Micalizzi, Luca Baioni and Luca Santese." It did not assert how this group is notable per WP:ORG and did not cite any sources, see WP:V. NawlinWiki (talk) 16:15, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

StolenDress Entertainment
[edit]I cited the company's creation of one of the world's first viral videos with two links. Why doesn't this suffice? Pcairn (talk) 20:12, 10 April 2015 (UTC)Pcairn
- The sources don't mention "StolenDress Entertainment" at all. NawlinWiki (talk) 20:21, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- As a matter of fact, the IMDB page does: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1588410/ - see the "Company Credits" section of this page. Pcairn (talk) 20:24, 10 April 2015 (UTC)Pcairn
- OK. But IMDB is user-edited and therefore not a reliable source. NawlinWiki (talk) 20:26, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- And if I point to an episode of a podcast in which an interview confirms this? Or the production company's website itself?Pcairn (talk) 20:28, 10 April 2015 (UTC)Pcairn
- Not independent, see WP:V. Also, the fact that the video may be notable doesn't automatically make its production company notable enough for a separate article. NawlinWiki (talk) 20:29, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- I understand your point, but in looking at that page, I do notice that podcasts are not excluded as non-independent, non-verifiable sources. As in the case of any interview, they remain at least as reliable as something that has been edited to print. I've seen the video itself mentioned and then deleted on other pages here, despite claims to its notability, so it seemingly remains subjective.Pcairn (talk) 20:36, 10 April 2015 (UTC)Pcairn
- Please understand my goal here is to try and find verifiable sources to allow a number of early, forgotten viral videos here, given there place in history. This is the first I have picked, and I want to make sure others can be included, as well - the issue is that mainstream media did not latch onto "viral videos" until well after they began as a phenomenon, so it remains very difficult to verify them.Pcairn (talk) 20:38, 10 April 2015 (UTC)Pcairn

- It seems more likely that sources could be found showing the video to be notable rather than the production company. NawlinWiki (talk) 20:39, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- This is absolutely true, although these edits have yet to remain, that I have seen. It should be noted that articles about the creator of something notable do remain here for reference and detail. Pcairn (talk) 20:41, 10 April 2015 (UTC)Pcairn

LogiNext Solutions
[edit]Hello Nawlin, LogiNext Solutions page has been speedily deleted citing the reason of being not notable. The references provided were of the biggest national Dailies such as Mint_(newspaper) and The_Economic_Times.[1][2] Also the information was collected from other credible sources which includes interviews by India's Biggest News Channel CNBC[3]and GennNext Innovation Hub(a venture by Microsoft[4] and Reliance Industries ). [5].I forgot to add these references while publishing the page.
The Main Idea behind this article was to let people know how Big Data Analytics[6] is growing as an emerging field in India and how LogiNext Solutions is analysing Big Data to get insights in order to bring some structure to Logistics Environment.
Nawlin, Kindly suggest the changes or if more references are required but help me restore the article for the greater good.
- None of these show that the company meets our notability standards, see WP:CORP. Also, the article was written in promotional language, see WP:SPAM and WP:NPOV. NawlinWiki (talk) 17:59, 13 April 2015 (UTC)

Smithsonian Journeys
[edit]Why was the Smithsonian Journeys page deleted? It had been up for several years, and updates were made because some information was outdated. Would you please restore or explain in detail what changes are needed so it can be restored? --Juanita1956 (talk) 20:49, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- I looked back at the article history, and every single version of it was promotional. The very first version included "Learning is the hallmark of the Smithsonian Institution, and Smithsonian Journeys extends the Institution’s learning opportunities through educational travel worldwide. With over 200 departures annually, Smithsonian Journeys are designed to engage members in the broad vision and wide ranging interests of the Smithsonian." The other versions were equally promotional. I have no objection to someone reposting an article from a neutral point of view. NawlinWiki (talk) 20:52, 13 April 2015 (UTC)

Slips and Capture
[edit]If you would like to improve or edit the article you are free to do so. But you shopuldn't delete an article whose subject matter is referenced in USA Today, the Wall Street Journal etc. It seems like your're "making a point" about race by deling the artle and leaving that message on my page instead of improving it.UnifiedLeftOnTwitter (talk) 21:02, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- As I said on your talk page, the article you wrote wasn't really about "slips and capture" at all. It was "hey everyone, white cops are shooting black suspects" -- a topic that is covered in great detail in many other Wikipedia articles. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:04, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
LogiNext Solutions
[edit]Hey Nawlin, Thanks for your reply. I did read all the mentioned articles on Neutrality Point of View and notability. I believe that notability is been taken care of even if you could just have a look at the below mentioned links, which are from independent sources and reliable. Also the article has been written in such away which informs about the technology, the emerging culture of start-ups in India.
So Kindly help me which part to rephrase, so it doesnt sound like an advertisement because that is not at all the purpose of the article. I have again attached some of the links for notability.

Muscle Help Foundation
[edit]Hello
Please can you advise why our charity page for The Muscle Help Foundation was deleted? We are a registered charity in the UK and other charities have pages.
Thank you McGrath2a15 (talk) 11:52, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- You would need to cite reliable independent sources (WP:V) to show that this charity is notable per our standards, see WP:ORG. NawlinWiki (talk) 14:31, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- Please can you reinstate the page so I can cite reliable independent sources. As you deleted it I can find where it is in my account. Thank you
- Now in your userspace at User:McGrath2a15/The Muscle Help Foundation. Note that it is not permissible to cut and paste the "About Us" section of the charity's own website. NawlinWiki (talk) 16:34, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

Dirty Dike
[edit]Hiya, I don't know anything about Wikipedia and I didn't start the Dirty Dike page, but you deleted it, I read your criteria for "speedy deletion" and Dirty Dike does not meet this, I have a Dirty Dike album, they are signed, they're amazing, and I notice you've started an article on some violinist from your home town but one about music from my culture is for some reason not worthy of a page, I would at least like to be able to read the history of what was previously on the page. Please respond, and please listen to "Pork Pie" by Dirty Dike and learn a little bit about the underground brighton hip-hop scene. Tom.Mort (talk) 15:59, 16 April 2015 (UTC) Tom
- I deleted this page in 2012 because it was cut and pasted from Dirty Dike's website - in other words, it was promotion/advertising. See WP:SPAM. I have no objection to an article about this artist if it shows that Dirty Dike meets our notability standards, see WP:MUSIC, and if it is written in neutral and not advertising language. Derelliott Conversions
[edit]Hi,
The site link I sent you is about a famous company who no longer exist, it is all about their history, it is NOT a commercial link, it is of great interest to many motoring enthusiast's all over the world, s Please Add it.
I find the method of contact and how you expect "normal" NON GEEKY people to add and make contact with you to be very confusing and over complicated.
Mike Re Dereliott Conversions, Thustaston, Wirral, UK. www.dereliott-conversions.webs.com Dereliott (talk) 17:14, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
- If this company were notable per Wikipedia's standards (which are at WP:CORP), it would need its own page, rather than a single unexplained link on the Thurstaston page. To show notability, you would need to cite reliable, independent sources (and your website wouldn't qualify - see WP:RS). NawlinWiki (talk) 17:40, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

Re-creation of Article
[edit]Hi, You recently re-deleted the Article - Rochak Inter-School Fest
Though your spirit of contributing to Wikipedia is highly highly appreciated, please understand that such rash behavior of simply speedy deleting articles is not conducive to the Wikipedia Contributors Environment. A discussion on such actions is highly suggested and socially appreciated and tends to avoid opinion formation which include terms like "Admin brutality"
In the meanwhile, I have re-created that article and would strongly suggest that 1.You read through the article with an open mind 2.Acknowledge the fact that you're 14,000km away from ground zero (Mumbai) and that understanding the significance of such events in the context of another Nation can be hard, for which we don't blame you. 3. If you still find it 'not notable', please do not rush into speedy deleting it again without first holding a discussion as to why you believe that it is not notable.
This event is notable because it celebrates our National Language. Simple as that.
Regards Anonymousbananas (talk) 13:38, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
- I've nominated the article for deletion, not because this event is in India, but because you've cited no independent sources, and you have not shown how this event is notable -- not per your definition ("because it celebrates our National Language"), but by our definition, WP:N. It's precisely *because* we can't always understand why something might be notable in another culture that we require independent, reliable sources, see WP:V. The fact that *you* think the event is notable for celebrating Hindi is not enough. I could have an event in my backyard that celebrates English, my National Language, but that wouldn't be notable either. NawlinWiki (talk) 23:15, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Sytecee Portal Deletion
[edit]Hello NawlinWiki. I seem to be doing something wrong with publishing articles as I two of the articles of mine were deleted today. I tried to improve the first version of the article, and I though I did so, but then I got the message that the article Sytecee Portal was deleted by you due to G11. Please help see what have I done wrong with this article? The site I am writing about supports the feature to upload anything anytime anywhere the momen you record it. I included the various links, not for promotional purposes, but to display it meets Wikipedia:Notability guidelines by citing published sources. [edit]The above sentence indicates that you do not understand the concept of a caliph. Multiflight
[edit]Hello, I just wanted to say that i'm quite confused about what has happened to my page. It says that it was speedily deleted. At the time of me seeing this notification I had just finished editing in the sources for my content. I was then greeted with the message of me not adding sources. Please could you clarify what has happened. Thanks WETiLAMBY (talk) 17:44, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
- I didn't see any independent sources at the time I deleted the article. Regardless, it would have also been eligible for deletion as advertising/promotion, because of language like "Multiflight opened its doors as a Northern Aviation Centre in 1994 and since then its reputation has really taken off as a place that provides everything for the complete flying experience." See WP:SPAM and WP:NPOV. NawlinWiki (talk) 17:46, 22 April 2015 (UTC)

- Somnio also appeared nonnotable to me (see WP:CORP), and I've nominated it for deletion as well. Marion was subject to speedy deletion because it was written in a promotional fashion ("is an award-winning, full-service marketing agency" in the lead sentence, for example). See WP:SPAM.
