- As far as the coincidence goes: I saw that you had made an edit to Duluth lynchings and that nobody had welcomed you yet, so I sent you a welcome message. I have the page on my watchlist because the article needed work at the time. (It probably still could use some work, but at least things have improved.) I grew up in Robbinsdale, and now I live in Bloomington (after a stint in Plano, Texas after college. --Elkman - (Elkspeak) 22:10, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
I am adding things that they didn't add in Charles Lindbergh. Look in the article now, I added things and I am sorry if I deleted the red tag. Also if you read the Help part of Wikipedia, it says that don't add too many things in one article. Make different articles. Thanks for telling me my mistake. Oh ya, welcome to Wikipedia!!!!!!!!!!!!
I added the red tag. I know that you can add the ~ but I am too lazy. Trust me. If I merge the article when it's completed it will be so long! Just trust me.
How did you know to change it back so quickly?
I removed the importance banner from the Dade Behring entry because I was editing the article. The only reason that I even started the article is because the company is mentioned in the Emil Adolf von Behring article and I thought that people who read his entry may be interested in the company. I dont have the time to sit down and write the whole entry so I put up the incomplete banner. When I read the importance banner and the page that goes with it(that says:"This Wikipedia article or category is currently inactive and is kept primarily for historical interest.") I thought that since I was going to edit the article, the banner could come down. In the next few days I will closely read up on Notability and edit or remove the article. Thanks for your input. You can reply on myTalk if you'd like. JaK81600 18:13, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
AFD
On AFD, you voiced an opinion that the article Darryn Lyons should be deleted. I have gone ahead and expanded it a bit, and I wondered whether you would be willing to re-evaluate the situation. -Hit bull, win steak(Moo!) 22:08, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Tagging of copyvio articles
You had tagged Bondfield Construction as a {{copyvio}} but did not blank the page. Please remember to remove all the previous contents of a page when using the {{copyvio}} template on that page. Thanks! Awyong Jeffrey Mordecai Salleh 13:11, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
Nathalie why do you want an speedy deletion on GGMC? I am editing it so dont worry it will come out alright. Hopefully you and the rest of the wikipedia organization will be satisfied with it — Preceding unsigned comment added by EdwinCasado (talk • contribs)
Clean up taskforce
Hi Natalie. I just added my name after yours to the copy-editing taskforce and noticed you had not added a desk. If this is a mistake, you can add ([[User:Natalie Erin/Desk|Desk]]) next to your name. I have not done any work yet, and have no idea what this taskforce is like. Rintrah 16:02, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
I put a link to your desk on the clean up taskforce page. Rintrah 16:16, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Desk
Can I put the article Compact Disc player on your desk? I found the language too silly to edit the whole article — though not as silly as Canadian literature before I edited it. Some techie nerd got excited while writing it. I don't want to return to it, but I would feel guilty if I left it as it is. Rintrah 16:02, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Salmon Attack Article..Speedy Deletion?
Hello Ms. Erin. I am curious as to what drove you to nominate Salmon Attack for speedy deletion. What qualifies a musical artist to be important or significant, exactly? Surplusxmas 22:10, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
If I may butt in, she was right to tag the article for speedy deletion, since there is no assertion of notability. Read WP:MUSIC to find out what makes a band worthy of inclusion. If they haven't released an album, they're almost certainly not worth including. Self-released albums don't count. Mr Spunky Toffee 22:23, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Mission Impossible 4
Hello from a fellow new page patroller! I had an edit conflict with you, so I reloaded the page to see what had been done, and saw that you wrote exactly the same thing I did, "Wikipedia is not a crystal ball." Weird! Most people write something like "crystalballism." I commend you for using English sentences instead of Wikipedia jargon. Mr Spunky Toffee 22:18, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
I see that you placed a much-deserved db-nonsense tag on this article. You actually beat me to it, as it happens. I would recommend, though, that you place a note on the author's talk page warning her against the creation of such nonsense articles. Thanks for your efforts. ---Charles 00:39, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- I quite understand, believe me. I sometimes forget to leave warnings as well, but I really think it's a good idea. ---Charles 00:44, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

I've removed your speedy tag. A quick check of google reveals a French Catholic saint who lived in the twelfth century. Truth is stranger than fiction.--File Éireann 01:31, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

I did not delete the speedy deletion tag! The article had been deleted within five minutes of my adding it. I don't see why I should re-add the tag when I reinstated the article. James Fryer 07:59, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

1999 WTO Niketown
It was Niketown. Sadly, I don't remember where I saw the photo. In the discussion, earlier today I added a link to a photo I found online of what are almost certainly the same guys (since there could hardly have been two separate times people were knocking down the letters on Niketown), but their shoes aren't visible. The other photo was taken from a higher angle. I don't know if it is online anywhere; it might well be on some anti-protestor blog.
So here are some words I seldom utter: you might try User:Morton devonshire. He clearly was opposed to the protestors, so there is a fair chance that if this photo is online (or even if it is only available in a print medium) he would know where to find it. - Jmabel | Talk 20:57, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Antiochian?
I'm a bit new to all this, so hopefully this is the appropriate means to responding to your question. I am indeed a student at Antioch University New England, nose to a grindstone called a master's in education. I hope that my edits on the Antioch College website didn't disrupt your simultaneous edits there. I like your added category of links. Cheers ~ Jawlensky | Talk 15:22, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Eggspectation
I immediately attempted to edit the page and was merely submitting the draft of the page. Please allow me to place the more complete article-- which is not merely an advertisement for eggspectation. I will advance it in my spare time... I am currently pressed for time and will complete it soon... For now I'd prefer it if you did not delete it. --Nonymous-raz 20:19, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Michael Raymond Mintz
I know you responded to the IP editor disputing the prod of Michael Raymond Mintz, and I agree with you. However, I think this counts as disputed prod, so I have removed the tag. I think you should take it to AFD if you want it deleted. Regards, QuiteUnusual 21:22, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Have you looked at this article? It truly is a mess, but it could (with a good deal of work) be something worthwhile. It has been tagged for speedy deletion as nonsense, which is unjustified, because the article is not unsalvagable. When I left the message on JenniferL 17's talkpage encouraging her to put up the "inuse" template, it was a gesture of patience and compassion for a newbie who seems to be struggling. At this point, though, the article is damn near worthless. There is little to no content about the author, and a great many quotes from critical responses to his work. Wikipedia, as I am sure you are aware is not a literary criticism site, nor should articles about authors consist of little more than quotations from critics. Are you willing to take a look and offer her some helpful criticism? I am certainly willing to help in the improvement of the article, assuming she is open to advice. Let me know what you think. Thanks. ---Charles 21:28, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your response. Worry not that I expect you to go this alone, for I am certainly willing to do my part. Thanks, as well, for removing the speedy tag. I just placed a (rather long) message on the article's talk page saying that it was unjustified, and that I intended to remove it myself. You beat me to it. I am going to place some (fairly obvious) edit tags on the article (wikify, cleanup, etc.), and we will go from there. She does seem earnest and open to advice, so I think she will respond well to assistance. Thanks, again, for your time and efforts. Cheers! ---Charles 21:41, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks again, and that sounds like a capital idea! ---Charles 21:45, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
I saw that image, and it is definitely a problem. Unfortunately, I've never dealt with images before either. We need to make sure that both images are fair-use or that permission exists for them to be used. I am going to ask for the opinion of another editor on resizing the image, and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks again for your great work. ---Charles 01:40, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Zap!
Yeah, I caught that about 3 seconds later... for right now I redirected it to the more generalized disambiguation page Zap, although that could use some work too (it misses ZAP, an airport code, for example). But I gotta go...thanks for the note. -- nae'blis 23:27, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'm sure User:ZAPWORLD could be a little more transparent about their motives, but I'm not really certain how... :/ -- nae'blis 23:29, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
League of Copyeditors

Cleanup Taskforce
I added Misael Pastrana Borrero to your desk because it needs copyediting. Please look at it and accept, reject or let me know and I'll reassign it. Thank you. RJFJR 14:08, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- It's been cleanup by chopping, but it is now very stubby. Does it look to you like any of the material in the history is referenced enough to extract and merge into the current article? RJFJR 17:22, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- I was looking at it. There doesn't look like much information in the article. It now lists the previous and succeeding presidents and they are also very skimpy. (The Spanish wikipedia is linked but doesn't have much more on this person.) Sigh, it's rather outside my area of expertise. Thanks for looking at it. RJFJR 17:29, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- My skill with Spanish and Portugese is best described as poor, bad or non-existent. I don't think I can even find my bilingual dictionary. Now if it were German at least I own a good dictionary even if I have no vocabulary. Seems odd that there is nothing in English on the President of a substantial country. Thank you for looking. Proposal for managing song lists on Simpons episodes
Hi, hope you don't mind me posting to your userpage but I'm trying to collect opinion on a proposal relating to The Simpsons and, despite posting to various talk pages, I've had no feedback at all (except from a co-planner). I don't mind if all the opinion is negative (then I'll just forget the idea) but I'd like it to get some visibiltiy. I'm not going to go implement it unless the consensus is positive.
I'm proposing changing the way we manage lists of songs in episodes. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject The Simpsons/Proposal for managing song lists on Simpons episodes which has a full explanation of the proposal. Please leave comments there.
I'd appreciate any thoughts you have on this, or any views on where else it should be discussed --Mortice 12:12, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
Being Bold re: The Seven Deadly Sins
Hi, I just wrote you a note on changes I made on your behalf re: the Seven Deadly Sins. I'm fairly new to all this too, but I tend to go ahead and make changes where I think they will improve the style, without necessarily starting a discussion first. And I was just looking at the style guide on a completely separate issues, and I came across this:
Wikipedia:Be bold in updating pages This guideline in a nutshell: If you want to fix something, then do it instead of not doing anything because of your doubts.
So there we go. Hopefully that should give you more confidence to Be Bold. If you have a sensible idea for copyediting, do it! And I thought your suggestion for copy editing The Seven Deadly Sins was very sensible.
--Merlinme 17:16, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
I too am (pleasantly) surprised that the page hasn't faced a barrage of vandals and/or opinionated editors Since the page deals with a current and potentially sensitive issue, I think it is important for its content to be well sourced and neutrally phrased. I'll be glad to contribute my bit in that effort, and am happy to know that there are other watchful eyes focussed on it. Abecedare 18:00, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
The 42nd shot
I noticed you created the page 41 shots and marked the edit as minor. You may want to go back and re-read when to mark an edit as minor, since page creation is definitely not listed. Natalie 15:05, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks! That was an oversight on my part. I'll be more careful next time. - Morganfitzp 20:07, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
Samuel Johnson Page Move Proposal
You gave an early opinion that helped decide the Robert Johnson move proposal. I am continuing work on the Johnsons. I would appreciate your opinion on the following:
Samuel Johnson → Dr. Samuel Johnson —(Discuss) Since the Feb 2006 page move, 6 new entries have been added to the Samuel Johnson (disambiguation) page including Sam Houston Johnson, a Presidential sibling, Samuel Ealy Johnson, Jr., a Presidential father, Samuel Ealy Johnson, Sr., a Presidential grandfather, Samuel Johnson (footballer), an active footballer, and Samuel Curtis Johnson, Sr. the patriarch of the richest family in Wisconsin. The primacy of Dr. Samuel Johnson versus the remaining field of Samuel Johnsons should be reconsidered. This move would enable replacement of the dab page at Samuel Johnson TonyTheTiger 22:23, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
References to wikipedia articles
Hi, please don't remove the refs to specific episodes and replace them with fact tags. Episodes themselves are reliable sources, so they can be referred to. Thanks, Localzuk(talk) 22:57, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, no. They were citing the episodes themselves - which also happen to have pages, which were also linked. The episodes themselves are acceptable primary sources (you can look at the simpsons and say 'Homer walked down a path' etc...). -Localzuk(talk) 23:27, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
Craig Finn
You were putting him in the list of famous people from around the AREA or there briefly, which I think requires a much higher bar to clear than famous people from Minneapolis. You will note that your examples of Kimberly Elise and Dr. Demento are in the longer list of people from Minneapolis, and not the list that includes Ventura and Puckett. If you want to Finn to that larger list, then I would have no objection, as long as he is indeed from Minneapolis. Mullibok 16:57, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- If you put him in the larger category, then I must not have looked closely enough at his exact placement. Assumed it was just a revert from the "readding" message in the edit explanation. Feel free to put it back there. Mullibok 17:23, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Source
I didn't want to cause any edit conflicts, so here's the source for the statement: He once attended a summer camp, where he met his future wife Marge Bouvier.[1] -- Scorpion0422 00:11, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
I was actually just aboot to post it.
Homer has "caused three meltdowns and one China Syndrome" during his tenure at the plant.[2] -- Scorpion0422 00:18, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- Homer has been shown playing poker, but he definitely isn't very good at it. Homer can play the guitar (How I Spent my Strummer Vacation) and briefly played the trombone (In one scene in Mommie Beerest). I can't specifically remember the butter thing, although there may have been a one-off line in that area. -- Scorpion0422 02:34, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for moving 'Culturally significance' phrase
Thanks for correcting the typo in the page I moved - think it came from experimenting with wording like "Phrases with cultural significance" and miss-rearranging the words --Mortice 16:48, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi
Hi Natalie, I was wondering if users can recommend another user to be blocked? I've found that, for example, the user with this IP 63.215.28.173 has made a bunch of annoying edits to a handful of pages. Thanks, 154.20.187.23 07:42, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Your ListBotGen edits
Hiya, I see you started on Season 7 - well done :)
I think it's a good idea to put each tag on its own line - not quite sure if it matters, but probably safest to keep all the pages in a similar format.
Check out The Mook, the Chef, the Wife and Her Homer for an example, and you can keep an eye on Wikipedia:WikiProject The Simpsons/Example generated lists/S07 to check your results.
You've probably noticed, it sometimes takes a while for the bot to keep up to your changes, so don't be too confused if it doesn't seem to fix your issue for a few mins.
Keep up the good work tho --Mortice 21:50, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hiya - I was just looking at your problem with guest stars not appearing on the season 7 list page. It's very strange, I regenerated the page and the bot removed the guest stars on its first update again!
- Actually under the heading 'directors' the alphabetical list is directors then the secioned list below it is guest starts - this makes no sense, I'll have to study the problem but it's probably a bot bug :(
- BTW could you check out the edit I did to Bart on the Road which is at [1]. I put the tags on their own lines, and in a few places you missed the 'SourceEnd' tag (which may have confused the bot). If there's two runners, you don't need to give them a tag each, just tag the pair (as I've done) and I removed the '&' between them - the bot will spot that they're on different lines due to the <br> and take them as two entries which then get sorted correctly etc. You might want to check other pages too - perhaps the missing SourceEnd tag might cause the S07 list page to be missing the guest stars, tho not sure how --Mortice 23:39, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Thank you
I appreciate your attention to a minor mistake made in my edit to the discussion on the Talk:Culturally_significant_phrases_from_The_Simpsons page. I'm sure that it was motivated by an undying need to ensure that all minor edits be marked as such, and nothing petty. I will now on remember to check the minor edit box when making changes that do not significantly impact the page, and vice versa. I'm sure together, we can help prevent unnecessary pedantry from ruining Wikipedia.Cfpresley 17:26, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Simpsons talk
I responded on the Simpsons talk page about how to edit the secondary characters, specifically, whether to include episodes in which the characters play a substantial role in driving the plot. The feeling among the few people who have posted tends to be one of removing those sections. I think some discussion here would be worthwhile. --takethemud 02:56, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Dear Cleanup Taskforce member,
I noticed that you've listed yourself as a member who's interested in copy-editing. I'm a member of the League of Copyeditors, a project dedicated to managing the sizable backlog of articles needing a copy-edit. We're always looking for new members, and you'd make a great addition to the project! We've started a participation drive for the remainder of February. If you're interested, you can help clear the backlog by adopting the following goals each week:
- Select an article to copy-edit from the backlog. After your copy-edit, list the article in the ready for final proofread section.
- Select a different article to proofread from the ready for final proofread section.
Thanks, and happy editing! BuddingJournalist 07:42, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
