I'm sorry I called you names. That was childish and wrong. I don't see, though, how you're better than me like Davnel wants me to think and I don't and never will see why you took such offense to my comments at WPT:PW. Anyway, I'll fade away now, and this time I mean it. People like me probably aren't welcome in your civilized societies. Nosleep1234 07:20, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- I guess the reason why you can't see why I took offense is the same reason I can't understand how it would be possible not to take offense. I'm not better than anyone, I'm just trying to help keep this project working as a cohesive unit where people can post any thoughts and ideas and questions so they can be discussed freely without any concern of how their posts may be recieved by others. --Naha|(talk) 15:14, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit]I noticed that you supported the idea for a newsletter for WP:PW. Well, I have drawn up a draft of the newsletter here. It would help if you have your feedback and suggestions at this talk page. Thanks! The Chronic 23:22, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Love the changes you made to the color scheme. It was kind of boring the way it was before. Thanks! -- bulletproof 3:16 05:53, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, I really like it too ..I'm glad there is at least one other person who agrees lol. Err, as I was typing this I noticed User:Aaru Bui came and changed everything I did to another gold sort of color scheme. I personally think the one they chose is not very pretty but I don't know how to go about bringing it up :( Which one do you like better? Aaru's is probably closer to the "title belt gold" theme I was going for ..but its just not pretty, in my opinion at least. Thoughts? --Naha|(talk) 06:04, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Also, I gave an edit summary explaining why I was changing the color scheme and what I was trying to accomplish with it ..they didn't =/ --Naha|(talk) 06:05, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well the color you chose was brighter which made the page look vibrant. The color Aaru chose is closer to the gold tone the belts have but it doesn’t look quite as vibrant. IMO they both seem fine. I guess this should be brought to the project’s talk page to see what others think. -- bulletproof 3:16 06:12, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- I agree. Give me a minute, as I am already in the process of typing this up for discussion on the project's talk page. Thank you for your input :) --Naha|(talk) 06:16, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Lita
[edit]Thanks for the copy edits on Amy Dumas' article. Deep Shadow and I have a sure fire fail-proof system for churning out Good Articles. He has been working on Mickie James and I've been working on Lita...then we switch, cleanup, and review. I still have to do my review on his article, but if you wouldn't mind doing some copy edits over there, too, that would be much appreciated. We plan to inform the project and nominate them as GAC in the near future once some other wrestling articles have been reviewed. Nikki311 21:00, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
Ring name bolding
[edit]I had to do some major searching for this, but I agree that it would be good to point out to others:
- Per WP:BOLDFACE
- Use boldface in the remainder of the article [after the first sentence in the lead] only for a few special uses:
- Table headers
- Definition lists (example: David E. Kelley)
- Volume numbers in some formats for bibliographic entries for journal articles (example: template:cite journal)
- Use boldface in the remainder of the article [after the first sentence in the lead] only for a few special uses:
- Per GA and FA reviews
I hope this helps. Nikki311 20:14, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- This is GREAT, thank you so much for taking the time to compile this stuff, I really do appreciate it! --Naha|(talk) 22:38, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Mickie James
[edit]Hey. I couldn't find which specific Patrick Henry High School Mickie James attended. I did a search to look for their official websites to see if there were alumni sections and I found some sites, but the problem was that they didn't have addresses to indicate which schools they were. Also, outside of dirtsheets, I couldn't find information on James and Ken Doane breaking up. I will do a search every now and then to see if any credible websites report on it. And while I'm here, I'd like to thank you on your copyedits for both James' and Amy Dumas' articles. I've never given anyone anything like this before, but I'm happy for you to be first:

Collaboration of the Week
The Pro Wrestling Collaboration of the Week for November 11 - November 17 is World Wrestling Entertainment. Please help to improve it to match the quality of an ideal Wikipedia professional wrestling related article. The next article for collaboration will be chosen on Sunday, November 18. From the Editor
Welcome to the inaugural edition of the WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter! I hope this will be a good source of news to those people interested in what's happening around our pro wrestlimg community. I plan to release it every Sunday. This newsletter will just be a way to get the community announcements to people who don't have the time to check the mesageboards, as well that to those just curious about the news. The newsleter will consist of a project news section (to do with what's happening on Wikipedia), and a current events section (relating to news in the "real world"). The newslette will also contain the Collaboration of the Week announcement. That's all. If you have any feedback or suggestions, please post them at this talk page. Question/favor
[edit]Hey! As you know, I was contacted awhile back about possibly running to become an admin. I was wondering if you might want to do a co-nomination with User:Jeffrey O. Gustafson? I consider you my wikifriend, and I have a feeling you'd write something nice. :) It's okay if you don't want to...just let me know, as I'll be contacted Jeffrey soon to let him know I'm ready. Nikki311 17:51, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- Ney Nikki! I would absolutely love to co-nominate you and am humbled that you would ask me :) I definitely have a lot of great things to say about your Wikipedia qualities and what not :) If there is anymore information I need to know ..like where/when ..specific *type* of thing you would like mentioned, please let me know. I'm on my way out the door right now for class and we can "talk" more about this later if need be. But the answer yes definitely yes! --Naha|(talk) 22:39, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- Good! I guess you could just talk about how great I am and how I would be the best administrator they've ever had. :) Just kidding! Mostly, I think it's best to talk about my contributions in general, remaining civil, that I would be unlikely to abuse admin tools...things like that. I guess I'm not entirely sure...I've never done this before. lol. Nikki311 18:48, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hehe yes and I've never nominated anyone before! Those are definitely the things I would like to talk about. Do we have a time frame for this? As in, when would you like the nomination to be posted? --Naha|(talk) 00:01, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Ahoy! I have started Nikki's adminship nomination at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Nikki311. As noted above, she has requested you as a co-nominator. Once you have co-nominated, note your support, and let Nikki311 know so that she can accept the nomination and put it up at RfA. Thanks! --Jeffrey O. Your to-do list
[edit]Hey,
I found your todo list on Special:Whatlinkshere/Zones_of_EverQuest, and was wondering if you'd be willing to do some editing for another wiki. I started a family of wikis - called The KnowledgePit; it's intended to (eventually) be an encyclopedic reference for anything video game-related. MMORPGs get their own nodes (EQ KnowledgePit, WoW KnowledgePit, etc); at this time, the EQ node is the only one I've really matured at all. I've done a little work with the others, the node for console games more than the others, but mostly it's been the EQ one, for which I've written up a whole bunch of extension code; check it out, it's a lot to list right here ;)
Anyway, this run-on paragraph is basically to solicit you and, since you seem to be a gamer (or at least knowledgeable on the gaming subject), ask if you'd be willing to contribute some to that wiki family and/or possibly make solicitations like this on occasion. I threw together a little database hack so that if you sign up for one, the login info will work on any of them.
Thanks ;)

- Howdy Floppie,
- I would love to be able to contribute to your project. However, right now I barely have time for Wikipedia as it is and can't take on anymore activities. Thank you for showing me your wikis. I will definitely bookmark them and keep them in mind when/if I have more time :) Cheers, --Naha|(talk) 05:39, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you. I appreciate your time ;) good luck getting things settled down. I know how that goes ;) ~Floppie(talk • contribs) 06:12, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Ok. I don't mind. :) Davnel03 16:55, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- By the way, your last comment you put on the wrong talkpage, it was Lex94 who was unhappy about others editing CS 2006, not me! Can you remove the long comment from my talkpage, and put it on his talkpage! Thanks! Davnel03 21:06, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- I know it wasn't you Davne, but your talk page is where Lex expressed his unhappiness so that is where I responded to it. I, personally, don't like fragmented conversations and like to keep them all in one place. However this is your talk page and if you wish me to move a comment, I gladly will. Would you still like me to move it? --Naha|(talk) 21:09, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yep, move it to Lex's. At first, when I read it, I thought it was directed to me, but I then realised it was directed towards Lex. Yep move it from my talkpage to Lex's talkpage. You could just start it off differently, stating "I've been following the conversation betwen you and Davnel03 and......" . Thanks, Davnel03 21:15, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Actually, that conversation is already fragmented between your's and Lex's talk pages. That, together with the fact that since it is on your talk page, there is a chance he might not see it probably means I should move it regardless of my OCD organizational issues. Consider it done! --Naha|(talk) 21:16, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, moving it now! --Naha|(talk) 21:16, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Please go to New Year's Revolution (2007), as I am having trouble with the format of sources. For some reason, when I write the ref, the sentence next to it becomes invisible. Please check it out, Lex94 Talk Contributions Guest Book 22:03, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- I'll look at it as soon as I can, at the moment I'm actually logging off of the computer for awhile, RL stuff to do. Let me know if you get it fixed before I can look at it! --Naha|(talk) 22:17, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
PWInsider
[edit]I wouldn't be so angry is a) Someone in the project actually knew why it was blacklisted and b) Other article didn't contain so many "sources" from other websites that are 100% credited to PWInsider.
If other users insist on PWInsider being unreliable, then I'll start removing citations that credit PWInsider. And before you ask, it's not making a point, it's following consensus. Mshake3 (talk) 16:12, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
I think this is how the consecus was formed:
Me: So, who knows why the site is blacklisted? Others: Well it's an unreliable dirtsite. Me: Why is it considered unreliable? Others: Because it's blacklisted!
It's a circular argument. Mshake3 (talk) 16:23, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- I understand your frusration. At this point, that circular argument does indeed seem to be the case. While none of the current members of the project seem to be able to remember what it was, surely there was a valid reason given at the time it was blacklisted? Since blacklisting is a Wikipedia-wide thing, I believe the admin (or whoever was responsible for actually adding PWinsider to the blacklist) would had to have noted the reasoning at the time of performing the task.
- If it is really the case that references are being used in which they themselves credit PWInsider as their own source, that obviously doesn't make sense (as you have pointed out) and either a) we shouldn't be using those references either or b) PWInsider needs to be removed from the blacklist because there isn't really a point when PWInsider info is getting into articles via (probably many) other websites anyway.
- If you are serious about getting that changed I suggest you try as hard as possible to find the original reasoning behind the website getting blacklisted, complete with as much info as possible - who was involved in the decision (editors/admins alike). Then I would make as comprehensive a list as possible of articles that currently are using references that credit PWInsider as their source at which time you bring up the question of why they are being allowed and present WP:PW with all of your findings and arguments. I wouldn't remove the other references yet, as their current placement in articles is part of your argument. If you follow these procedures and state your argument in a clear and rational way, without using the obvious sarcasam that this situation deserves because indeed sounds rediculous), I think you might have a good chance of turning this thing around because while I personally am on the fence, I'm pretty sure you are not the only editor who disagrees with the blacklisting of PWInsider. Let me know what you find out! :) Good luck, --Naha|(talk) 21:10, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- I have two theories. One, an attempt by other users to get the site removed. Remember how obsessedwithwrestling.com (before it's name change) was blacklisted because someone kept using it in a spammy method? I think this one was ignored because of the whole dirtsite=unreliable mentality that had an iron grip on the project up until recently. Two, the amount of advertising. I'm an elite subscriber, so I see the site ad free (and as a work around, I just might start using that section, pwinsiderelite.com as a source). I once made an attempt to remove the block, and one of the concerns was that there was way too much advertising on it. I'll consider all your suggestions and see what I can do. Thank you for understanding my frusteration. Mshake3 (talk) 22:39, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- I was wondering about the OWW thing myself, and if this was a similar situation. It very well could be. Due to recent discussions at WPT:PW, I'm starting to unsubscribe to any previous negative feelings that I might have ever held for PWI ..as far as using them as a credible source anyway. It seems like every time I hit the refresh button on my browser, another website's credibility is up for discussion, and its happened so frequently over the last few months that I'm starting to confuse which websites I thought were 'ok' to use here and which ones I didn't think were good/wasn't sure about either way - there are just so many pro wrestling news sites out there.
- While I can't justify a subscription to the site myself and do hate all the advertisements that PWI (and many other wrestling news sites) have, I don't think the annoyance of the advertisements is a valid argument against using PWI as a source (pretty much kind of like WP:IDONTLIKEIT). If I ever said that personally I was probably just running my mouth in frustration over ..well ..pick a WP:PW issue ..any WP:PW issue. They are all filled with conflict and butting heads :P At any rate, it probably is time to get the decision reversed unless some really compelling evidence suddenly materializes proving otherwise. Keep me posted :) --Naha|(talk) 23:11, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

I know that I probably shouldn't come and ask you to do this, but I was wondering whether you could leave comments on In Your House 1 at the above link, and whether there are any problems with it. I would never normally ask, but clicking the link shows that my recent comment at WP:PW seemingly has driven people away from the FAC. :( Davnel03 19:33, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- I see nothing wrong with asking me to post comments or make suggestions for article improvement. It would be wrong to ask me to vote, or to vote a certain way ..but you have in no way done that. I would be glad to look the article over and will get on it ASAP. I have to leave the house right now and go fix my mother's computer and run some other errands, but hopefully I can start looking at it later this evening or tomorrow :) Don't stress! :) --Naha|(talk) 20:43, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to the second issue of the WP:PW newsletter. We apologize for the delay. There was an issue regarding the delivery process. Anyways, we had a lot of good feedback for the last newsletter. We not only received feedback at the newsletter's talk page, but I also received some messages on my talk page as well. Thank you to those who responded. The only complaint we received was about typos, and we will try our best to keep the newsletter error-free. Please continue to offer feedback and new ideas for the next issue. League of Copyeditors roll call
[edit]Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there. The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors. |

Happy New Year!
[edit]The Chronic has given you a bottle of Cristal! Cristal costs $350, and hopefully this bottle has made your New Year's Day better. Spread the spirit of the New Year by giving a bottle of Cristal to someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Happy editing!

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Castlevania - Lament of Innocense (Gamecover).jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Castlevania - Lament of Innocense (Gamecover).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 05:11, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
