Wallace/RPM ownership
[edit]Apparently on a pre-race show a couple weeks ago one of the Fox guys said he owns part of the team. I missed it, don't know the specifics. But there is weight to that claim, just as an FYI. Willsome429 (say hey or see my edits!) 21:35, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
Vizion
[edit]I have no idea which "driver page" that Vizion still holds. Their website turned up a domain sale for me. Plus, Troy Williams has long been in K&N sans Vizion. I have changed the effort to Troy Williams Racing. Please be more stringent on your sourcing; saying it "looks like" is still doing some original research. Willsome429 (say hey or see my edits!) 13:05, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, Willsome!
I expected that someone was going to see that and say that it's unsourced. I saw that Gutiérrez was entered in the 53E car, but there isn't any other 53 in the field, nor in any previous fields. I was trying to find out why that was, and saw that he has a driver page on the team's website, with the same sponsor: Toughbuilt. But there was no reason for him to have said page if he didn't enter any races for them. I later found out that Vizion had a partnership with Troy Williams' team in the 2017 East Series. After all this I still haven't found out why they can't just run the 53. NASCAR Enthusiastnyoom 14:26, 16 September 2020 (UTC)- If you're expecting to see someone challenge it, why do it? Correlation does not equal causation. Over the years, there have been so many driver development deals that are announced but failed to materialize - plus, NextGen's website only lists accomplishments up to 2017 and even such should have been listed as NextGen if there was solid proof. Again, Troy Williams has been involved in K&N/ARCA since before NextGen and is a part of ARCA racing after NextGen. It's like the Team Keller situation earlier in the year - things change fast, and if 2017 was the last time Williams associated with NextGen, that's more than enough time to build a new ARCA chassis on his own. - Yes, a mistake was made, as I was testing out an automatic click feature for my chromebook. I will never use it again. I hope there were no hard feelings. NASCAR Enthusiastnyoom 00:24, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
TobyChristie.com
[edit]If you would like to further the discussion, the discussion on the WikiProject NASCAR talk page is still active. I would appreciate it if you would refrain from accusing me of personal vendettas in the future. Willsome429 (say hey or see my edits!) 19:59, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, it was just meant to be a joke. I didn't mean to criticize. NASCAR Enthusiastnyoom 20:16, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
- Appreciate it. To me, it came off as implying I have a vested interest against the site. I will say that waiting for a different citation was a good move. Willsome429 (say hey or see my edits!) 21:38, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

Your recent edits on the 2021 NASCAR and ARCA season articles
[edit]Hi again, NASCAR Enthusiast!
Thanks for all your edits on those articles and keeping an eye on any news when it breaks and then updating the charts accordingly. I just wanted to ask you if you could (in response to this message) copy and paste the link to the Instagram post that says that Cindric will be in the No. 02 in his part-time Cup schedule in the 4th Penske car. I tried googling it after you mentioned it in your edit summary and couldn't find anything. Also, I never heard anything about Young's Motorsports bringing back the No. 12 truck and running it full-time in 2021. Can you also share where you found that out?
Talk soon,
Sean (Cavanaughs)Cavanaughs (talk) 19:59, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, and thank you for asking. The source for Cindric's number can be found on this page, and the website for Young's Motorsports has indications that they will bring the 12 back for at least a partial schedule. They have created a news page on their website specifically for the No. 12 truck and although it is blank, it probably won't be for long.
- OK. And in regards to the Instagram post, do you just google "team penske instagram" and scroll through their account to find it? What you linked is a google image of a post, but I feel like I want something to back up that it's not fake. I'm questioning if it's from Penske's official Instagram because it says Wavearound News in the corner. How did you first discover this post/where did you go step by step to find it? Also, in regards to Willie Mullins, I looked at their Twitter account today, and I agree with you about how there's an No. 11 car in their shop (which is probably their Talladega car from last year). Their most recent tweet shows them peeling off the No. 11 to repaint the car for Daytona this year. I'm thinking they might run a different number (by themselves with their own owner points instead of partnering with Fast Track). Cavanaughs (talk) 00:46, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
- To find the instagram post I just googled 'austin cindric 2021 02' just to see if there was any weight to the claims, went to images, found an image on the 15th row down and 2nd to the right, and saw this Gramho post there. I don't have an instagram account so I can't actually check it out on their page, and it might not be the most reliable thing. As for the Mullins car, I think we should list the number as TBA for now, and wait for a driver announcement. Should one of his testing drivers end up partaking in the race without another driver announcement, then we should make the educated assumption that it was Mullins' second car. 2021 NASCAR Cup Series
[edit]If it is your intention to keep updating this article every time there’s a change in the points leader so be it. If not the reigning champ should be pictured regardless of where else their picture resides, just sayin’, otherwise happy editing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Justwanaedit (talk • contribs) 21:29, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

Kevin Harvick
[edit]My first cousin, once removed's husband works for Anheuser Busch brewery, and he's gotten me the opportunity to join a zoom meeting with Harvick, and I can ask him one question. I don't know what to ask him, so I'd like some ideas. So if you could ask Kevin Harvick one question, what would it be? NASCAR Enthusiastnyoom 14:17, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
- Nevermind, I did it myself, but you can still post what you would've asked here. I asked him "For someone with no connection to racing, what advice would you have for them to help them get a career in the sport?" NASCAR Enthusiastnyoom 18:09, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hi NASCAR Enthusiast,
- I came here because I did see your comment on Racing-Reference the other day about you getting to meet Kevin Harvick on a Zoom call and was going to give you an idea for a question. However, I did just read your comment, so it's too late now, but I would've suggested asking him about the retirement rumors and if he may have an idea of how many more years he wants to race full-time in the Cup Series (and also if he wants to race part-time or go into broadcasting after that). I know he said recently that Keelan wants to race against him in a Truck Series race if he makes it to NASCAR (which I think he will- it seems like he's been running great in go karts, plus he's got the famous last name).
- Hi NASCAR Enthusiast,
- How was it? How was he to the folks on the Zoom call (nice, cool, etc.)? Anything surprising about him that people might not know that you learned?
- That's quite a neat opportunity you got and nice of the husband of your first cousin once removed to invite you! I don't even see the people that distant in my family very often- maybe once every 5 years or so.
- Kevin was pretty cool with the other guys on the zoom call, and it looked like he was happy to be there. I learned that he doesn't actually see Tony Stewart a lot in the garage. I also found out that Keelan fractured his arm in such a way that part of the bone is cracked and peeled outward. From my understanding, it is a stable fracture, they got a professional to make a brace for Keelan designed to allow go-karting, and he will still be racing go-karts (and the iRacing event, as I later found out). Also you might notice that I added the 'husband' part to your comment. Don't feel bad that you missed that (I did to when I initially posted my Racing-Reference comment). Let's just refer to him by his name (Derek), because it's a bit tedious to type his full relation to me every time. NASCAR Enthusiastnyoom 14:08, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
- Wow, that's cool! And thanks for the correction in my post.
- I'll be heading to the TV in a few minutes to watch part of the iRacing event tonight at Talladega. I'm looking forward to watching Keelan race and seeing how he does!
4th Kaulig Car
[edit]The 4th Kaulig car (#14) is on the 2nd page of that owner's points PDF, I should have specified that, haha. There's also a few others on page 2 that have yet to make starts (RCR #3, Penske #12, etc.)

Matt Mills and Nick Sanchez
[edit]Come on, even the TobyChristie and Jayski sites state that Sanchez will run a 4th part time car... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.205.96.142 (talk) 23:27, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
- McLeod has not announced any plans to field a 4th car, despite the owner points change. The official Jayski article for Mills says that he will drive "for the majority of the 2022 schedule," meaning that he will not be running full-time. The TobyChristie team chart lists Sanchez in the 5, and doesn't have a 4th BJMM car on it. The Jayski team chart does list him in a separate car, but at the top of the page it says "This is an unofficial page compiled by Jayski.com from many different sources."
