DYK for Brit Asia TV Music Awards
On 10 October 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Brit Asia TV Music Awards, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that most editions of the annual Brit Asia TV Music Awards were held in Birmingham, which has been called the "Bhangra capital of the world"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Brit Asia TV Music Awards. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Brit Asia TV Music Awards), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Help with article if possible.
Hi hope you are well. I see you have been looking at articles around the bhangra industry lately. I am not experienced editor however did an article Draft:Bups Saggu. It's not been relooked at for couple of months after adding in more referencing looking at music bio template . As the queue is long to get an idea what's wrong or right if i should delete or add anything. If you could look over it before it goes get reviewed again if possible I would be grateful. Thank you ReadingPro123 (talk) 10:58, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- @ReadingPro123: Bups Saggu seems like a notable subject, I'd be happy to help. Starting with his birth place and date, do you have a reliable source for that? --Muhandes (talk) 11:06, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- Great that would be great. Birth place the first reference from simply bhangra is about upbringing etc. Wolverhampton as birth place is mentioned on few articles or even this BBC bio says it https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p06dx5ly. However date I never came across on those type of sites i know because of thank you messages he has up on Instagram and Twitter etc each year. It was only couple of weeks ago. He did a YouTube video where he shows his birthday trip but I don't think that would come under reliable or would It? ReadingPro123 (talk) 11:18, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JQqjXOUxbWI this is the YouTube video ReadingPro123 (talk) 11:20, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- @ReadingPro123: I'll have a look later. I started cleaning the page, can you point me at the exact place where his birth place is mentioned. Exact sentence please. --Muhandes (talk) 11:24, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JQqjXOUxbWI this is the YouTube video ReadingPro123 (talk) 11:20, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
In that article it's about the question of upbringing. And the answer
How did you then make the transition to a professional performer? And what sort of struggles did you encounter?
Whilst teaching myself the dhol, I joined the Punjab Bhangra Group in Wolverhampton.
As he is wolverhampton born but no article as the exact question where you born or when. But what I found even though lots other bhangra artist have same kind of interviews and articles where it's also not written in that exact format.
On Twitter etc where it states it himself his birthday or birth won't count.
https://mobile.twitter.com/BupsSaggu?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor
Or these all days wolverhampton based:
https://www.beatstars.com/bupssaggu/feed
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p06dx5ly
That's where I struggled with knowing what exactly to do for the right ReadingPro123 (talk) 11:46, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- @ReadingPro123: As you understand, Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia and need to be certain on our sources. I see Wolverhampton mentioned a lot in those sources, but not as a birth place. A tweet from himself stating his birthplace or date will help, do you have such a tweet? --Muhandes (talk) 11:52, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
yes i understand..
on his INSTAGRAM bio it says at the top " BORN AND BRED IN WOLVERHAMPTON" https://www.instagram.com/bupssaggu/?hl=en
ABOUT BIRTHDAY
on his TWITTER BIO it says born 23rd september https://twitter.com/BupsSaggu?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor
on FACEBOOK on 23rd september this year, this post he is saying thank you for the birthday messages https://www.facebook.com/bupssaggu/posts/1775846505907437?__tn__=-R
then on 23rd september 2020 again on twitter there are a few messages where he is saying thank you to people saying happy birthday like:
https://twitter.com/BupsSaggu/status/1308895691016675335
https://twitter.com/BupsSaggu/status/1308852546782535680
simply bhangra the website wish him happy birthday on 23rd sept https://twitter.com/Simply_Bhangra/status/1308844227036688384
in this YOUTUBE video, he shows what he did in on his birthday this year and date shown : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQqjXOUxbWI
- @ReadingPro123: The date doesn't give us much without the year. I think we'll do with the Instagram heading for his birthplace. I am done editing the page, anything you want to add before I publish it? I intend to try to push it to Did You Know as well. --Muhandes (talk) 14:50, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
oh ok, yep thats fine. You removed every single, they all have itunes links or press releases or articles etc, would that not count? that after 2013 he has still been very active releasing singles?
and yes fine to publish if all seems correct and fine to you. Thank you so much for all your help !!!!
— Preceding unsigned comment added by ReadingPro123 (talk • contribs) 14:56, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- @ReadingPro123: The singles which were noted in the text can be listed, but I didn't have sources for the label for each, so I didn't list any. Would it be fair to say that we share the credit for writing this article? --Muhandes (talk) 16:00, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
oh ok, i just put a random singles in the text as the rest were in the table and how i saw it on other similar pages and on them it didnt seem like each and every one was sourced. but if a source was required for them all there is one as i did search from them all online and for dates etc. if later wanted to put the table back in all sourced is that ok? or would that not be correct?
and yes sharing credit is fine by me, thank yo again for all your help — Preceding unsigned comment added by ReadingPro123 (talk • contribs) 16:06, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- @ReadingPro123: That wasn't a bad experience at all. I believe experienced editors should fight systemic bias and this is just one way to do it. The article should show up on the main page Did You Know section in a few weeks, to give it some visibility. I'm sure there are many other notable Bhangra singers that deserve an article. If you find decent sources about any of them, like the ones you found here, we can do this again. Have fun. --Muhandes (talk) 07:03, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
Hi, yes will do. If I see someone who i think qualifys and has the sources to prove so I will let you know. With the first one wasn't sure what exactly is right or wrong. Thanks again for a your help ReadingPro123 (talk) 10:05, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
i saw you undid revison, in that source it does say Bups Saggu the first ever DJ, producer, musician, songwriter and SINGER in the Punjabi Music Industry.
As he has sung it, if you click on the song you will see stylish singh is rapper that features for 60 secs
however if it has be have the word sung in it as proof https://www.thetimes24.com/black-magic-official-music-video-bups-saggu-ft-stylish-singh-bups/
this has the word sung it
as i said he has many singles and each one does have many articles on each so if one is better than other to prove each one, thats fine — Preceding unsigned comment added by ReadingPro123 (talk • contribs) 13:37, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
- @ReadingPro123: I'm sorry, but this is all original research. We need a source saying that it is the first song he sung. --Muhandes (talk) 13:40, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
yep cool, this one says debut vocal track black magic
http://www.becausedesi.com/music?aid=10292
that any better? on the first line can change it to say debut instead of first — Preceding unsigned comment added by ReadingPro123 (talk • contribs) 13:51, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
- @ReadingPro123: I'm not sure it's reliable, but I'll use it. By the way, you should sign your messages. --Muhandes (talk) 16:03, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
Yes I dunno why it does that if I reply on the phone version of the site it's fine and signed off. Anyway shall leave it alone. Let someone else add to it if they wish. Thank you ReadingPro123 (talk) 16:27, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
Hi, hope you are well. I had a look and dj sanj does not have an article and has achieved a lot and even mentioned in probably 10 articles already on here. So I will have a look into him as you said to get more bhangra represented on here. If I am able to get all sources together will let you know. ReadingPro123 (talk) 11:49, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

DYK for Bups Saggu
On 1 November 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Bups Saggu, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Bups Saggu learned to play the tabla at the local gurdwara in Wolverhampton, but later moved on to playing the dhol because he "took a liking to the larger and louder sound"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Bups Saggu. Australian music certifications
Hello. I know that this not official ARIA, but they stopped updating certifications on their site. All the latest I take from here https://australian-charts.com/forum.asp?todo=viewthread&id=58525&pages= — Preceding unsigned comment added by JoAddams (talk • contribs) 20:13, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
- @JoAddams: A forum post is not a reliable source. If you don't have a reliable source, please don't add the certification. --Muhandes (talk) 01:05, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
ARIA certifications
Hi, I noticed you removed digital certifications from Australia on articles such as Style (Taylor Swift song). While I have not found anything related to this matter mentioned on the ARIA sites, I was wondering if "shipments" would be factually correct for these songs, which were not released physically? Thank you, HĐ (talk) 15:15, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
- @HĐ: The reason for these edits is that setting
|digital=true
refers to digital certification, i.e. it is meant for those counties which actually have (or had) separate digital certification (Brazil, Canada, Japan, Spain and the US), and also see this discussion. The question of the correct footnote for digital-only releases is a different one, and I have no opinion about it. You can start discussion at Template talk:Certification Table Entry, and I can certainly add a parameter for digital-only releases as well, just not|digital=true
. Happy editing. --Muhandes (talk) 16:23, 17 December 2020 (UTC)

Spacey edits
Did you realize that you're adding unnecessary space at the top of articles with edits like this? I've already fixed fix and since I see your name on my watchlist a few more times, I suspect it will have a few more changes. I'm not sure if this is accidental or intentional, but I don't think it should be happening. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:01, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Walter Görlitz: No, I wasn't aware of that, thanks for letting me know. I really don't know why AWB is don't that, I'll need to go over my edits and fix it. --Muhandes (talk) 19:05, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- LoL. I didn't think it was AWB since there were two articles where I did not see this, and if it was an automated process, I would expect it to be consistent. Thanks for the other, apparntly quite necessary changes. The spacing is minor. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:07, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- I just found out I had a wrong setting which caused AWB to do that, a leftover from some old project. I'm now not sure why it didn't always do it, but that's beside the point. I have a lot of fixing to do... --Muhandes (talk) 19:10, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- And yes, I am aware of the fact that my AWB edits were pushing {{short description}} down when they shouldn't. I will fix that too. --Muhandes (talk) 11:50, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
- Luckily, AWB is as good at helping you fixing these, as it is good at helping you creating them. I went over my last 10k edits and fixed them. Thanks for letting me know. --Muhandes (talk) 13:01, 25 December 2020 (UTC)

Single Chart Usages for Germany
Hi!
As Category:Singlechart usages for Germany (0) is currently listed on your mini-projects list, wanted to let you know i finished up cleaning it out.
All the best, Kleool (talk) 21:32, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Kleool: That's awesome. I know exactly how long it took since the bot was approved 22 months ago. I can now need to use the bot again to replace "Germany2" with "Germany" and get rid of the old code. Probably this weekend. --Muhandes (talk) 22:11, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
- Hi there. I've seen you/your bot changing instances of West Germany to Germany in chart tables. Why is that, can I ask? I mean, in the examples I'm seeing (eg, Happy Xmas (War Is Over), from the early 1970s) West Germany is correct, from what I understand anyway. I find the chart templates unsuitable for music from that era at the best of times, eg because hardly any of the named chart compilers existed, and the national music-industry organisations definitely did not – and I guess this is an issue related to historical accuracy also. Thanks, JG66 (talk) 18:34, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
- @JG66: I look at that example you gave and I don't see the bot changing
West Germany
toGermany
. It changedGermany2
toGermany
which is not even a cosmetic change, the two are the same. If you wish to change it, replaceGermany
withWest Germany
. (There was also an unintended ref change, I will now go over all the bot edits and make sure this is a single occurrence). --Muhandes (talk) 07:13, 19 January 2021 (UTC) - I'm not sure if that reference change was what you meant, but anyway, it led me to discover five more erroneous edits (out of about 7,000), so I thank you for letting me know. --Muhandes (talk) 08:53, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Muhandes. Sorry not to reply before – I got the ping but have been busy focusing on one article today (therefore far removed from anything Wikipedia-wide!). Perhaps I should look into the issue a bit more thoroughly, and get back to you if necessary. Bye for now and thanks, JG66 (talk) 09:12, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
- @JG66: I look at that example you gave and I don't see the bot changing

Let You Down (NF song)
Please can you revert Let You Down (NF song) as soon as possible, due to disrupted by anonymous ip user. The Supermind (talk) 21:11, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
- @The Supermind: Not sure why you need me to revert. Anyway, all seems in order so I guess it was sorted out. --Muhandes (talk) 06:51, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
- I technically restricted reverting so I sought you in last revision, and am asking you to revert it. The Supermind (talk) 11:42, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
- @The Supermind: I'm not sure what you mean by "technically restricted", the article is not edit protected, so you can edit it if you wish. I would be happy to assist though, if you just tell me what you think needs to be changed in that page. I don't see any vandalism which needs reverting, what exactly are you referring to? --Muhandes (talk) 15:43, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
- I technically restricted reverting so I sought you in last revision, and am asking you to revert it. The Supermind (talk) 11:42, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
Already reverted by Kleool. This message prevent me to revert article at all: "The edit can be undone. Please check the comparison below to verify that this is what you want to do, then publish the changes below to finish undoing the edit.
If you are undoing an edit that is not vandalism, explain the reason in the edit summary. Do not use the default message only." The Supermind (talk) 18:33, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
- @The Supermind: That message actually says "the edit can be undone", all you needed to do was publish the change and undo the edit.--Muhandes (talk) 16:07, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
But the action of reverting and the message resemble different to me. It might probably my misunderstanding, but I appreciate some users for use of reverting tools like Twinkie. I wish I want to use this tool for easy revert. The Supermind (talk) 21:12, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
- You might be confusing reverting and rollback. You have full and complete reverting capabilities. You do not have the rollback user access level, but that is immaterial. All it gives you is the ability to revert quicker and with less hassle. Go ahead and be bold, but always remember the cycle. --Muhandes (talk) 08:33, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
Requesting information about unknown deletion of an article.
Hello Muhandes, I am comparatively new here so pardon any unconventionality. I noticed that an article on "Santal Pargana College, Dumka" is somehow not present anymore and is redirecting to this site: "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sido_Kanhu_Murmu_University". Note that this site is of Sido Kanhu Murmu University from which "Santal Pargana College, Dumka" is affilated. The site of Santal Pargana College did existed few days earlier and I made some correction on the article. Since, I have earlier received a message from you and so far the only person, it would be really helpful if you can guide me through this. Regards. Econlambda (talk) 10:35, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Econlambda: According to the notability guidelines
if no reliable, independent sources can be found on a topic, then it should not have a separate article.
The general notability guidelines further explains that this refers tosignificant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject
. As you can see, the latest version of the college page provides none of that, and therefore the topic should not have a separate article. If you think you can provide such coverage, the article can be restored. --Muhandes (talk) 11:45, 31 January 2021 (UTC)- @Econlambda: I see that you have restored the page. I assume that you are now going to add significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. In order to keep the article from being deleted while you do that, I added an {{under construction}} tag at the top of Santal Pargana College. Please remember to remove it when you are done. Happy editing. --Muhandes (talk) 16:16, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi,
Hope you're well.
I need a page created, is this something you can do? — Preceding unsigned comment added by YokesLDN (talk • contribs) 13:13, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- @YokesLDN: I'd be happy to know why you are approaching me, of all the thousands of editors on Wikipedia. I can't answer your question until I know the subject (I don't write articles about some subjects) and the sources that can be used. There needs to be significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject before I even approach it.--Muhandes (talk) 13:22, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
Hey,
Im new to this so dont really know how it works.
The page is DJ Dips and the reason why I approached you is because I have seen you are working a lot on the Asian Music industry articles.
I apologise if you have taken it in the wrong way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by YokesLDN (talk • contribs) 13:27, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- @YokesLDN: Please sign your messages. I have not taken it the wrong way, I was just curious since on the same day I was approached twice with requests by editors I am unfamiliar with, and I wanted to know how they get to my name.
- Anyway, Asian music is a subject I am happy to assist with, provided that you do the research. I will need significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. For example, in this article that I co-wrote, you can see that there was significant coverage in The Times of India and in SimplyBhangra. --Muhandes (talk) 13:36, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

Let me know if this is ok YokesLDN (talk) 13:44, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- @YokesLDN: Can you please point out the sources that provide significant coverage? This is not about quantity, it is about quality. Sources that mention that he won something or released something are useful, but they are not enough to warrant an article. We need sources that discuss his early life, career, etc. in a broad and significant manner in order to start the work. --Muhandes (talk) 15:12, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
so here are those links -
YokesLDN (talk) 15:36, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

YokesLDN (talk) 16:15, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- @YokesLDN: I'm sorry if it seems like I'm nitpicking, but both of this sources are inapplicable. For the first, I don't see any evidence that The Uttarakhand News is a reliable source. It seems like a self-published source with no editorial practices at all. Calibar is clearly a promotional website which is not independent of the subject. I keep repeating myself, but this is the general notability guideline: significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. --Muhandes (talk) 17:24, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
Can I have your email address so we can discuss this further please?
Thank you

- Please don't edit while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting.
- I'm sorry but I don't see why email communication would be required in this case. However, you can send me an email through Wikipedia (you already did so once) if there is any issue which I am not aware of. I cannot guarantee an email response. --Muhandes (talk) 05:08, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

Hey there, why removing all the Union des Producteurs Phonographiques Français Indépendants certifications?

Hello! "Ella Elle L´A" was certified five times platinum in Spain. I leave the link here: However, in an interview, she commented that she had been eight times Platinum with Ella Elle L´A. Also (I don't know if you've also deleted it) Voyage Voyage was certified Platinum. file:///C:/Users/pc/Downloads/Canciones%20-%202009-3-2%20a%202009-3-8%20(1).pdf I also leave you the video where it confirms that it has been eight times platinum in Spain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgteem_hPqY — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.121.214.27 (talk) 08:44, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hi anonymous. I respect your decision not to open an account, but do take into account that if you want to take editing seriously, this would considerable limit the level of communication you can have with other editors.
- To the matter itself, I don't see how you expect me to address a file which is on your PC as a reliable source. You would want to supply a link to the file itself and then I can address its reliability. As for an interview of the artist themselves, it is not considered a reliable source from obvious reasons which surely you understand, so I'm not sure why you even bother presenting it. --Muhandes (talk) 09:02, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
Karunya University Logo change
Hi man, Why did you remove the logo uploaded by me and reuploaded in your name? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Princetheprince (talk • contribs) 19:32, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Princetheprince: You uploaded it to the wrong place. You uploaded it to the commons which does not accept non-free usage. I reuploaded it locally, nominally resized it, and added a proper free-usage rationale. It is the same image, so you should have no concerns. --Muhandes (talk) 05:14, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- That's very convenient. I drew that logo in illustrator since the logo they provided for an unrelated work was not clear enough and I uploaded it here.
- "It is the same image, so you should have no concerns", Is this your definition of contribution? And why did you "nominally resize" a vector graphics? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Metallizer.me (talk • contribs) 11:30, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Metallizer.me: First, I recommend that you read Help:Talk pages. It took me some time to figure out what you were talking about. Please sign your messages and respond to existing discussions properly. I hope you don't mind that I moved the discussion to this thread where it belongs.
- As for the subject itself, you apparently did not notice it, but you haven't
uploaded it here
. You (probably not know this is not acceptable) uploaded someone else's property to the Wikimedia Commons and showed no evidence that the owner gave their consent to release the image to the public domain. The commons considers it a copyright violation so it was deleted. Since the image was useful to the article, I reuploaded it to a place which does accept non-free content under some strict conditions. You did not provide source information to your original upload, so I did not state the source. Now that you did, I added that information to image page. If you have any concerns, feel free to edit the image information by going to the image page File:Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences logo.svg and click on "Edit". You can also upload a new version of the image by clicking Upload a new version of this file. --Muhandes (talk) 13:56, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
Can you fix this article ?
Does this article require clean up - Asha Sinha — Preceding unsigned comment added by Local Reporter (talk • contribs) 18:10, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Local Reporter: The article is in very bad shape. None of the facts are inline sourced, so there is no way to know if any of it is true. Since none of the sources was archived, they have mostly succumbed to link rot so one cannot even look in the 30 sources and see what is what. This is especially bad since this is a biographys of a living person. In fact, the article is in such bad shape, that if one would have asked me, I would recommend to blow it up and start over. Perhaps this is something you would like to do? --Muhandes (talk) 19:52, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
@Muhandes: It can be repaired but the concerned page editor might have close connection with the biography i.e the way it is written under bragging ideology. Usage of personal website associated with subject. So personal details of page like family and personal life is questionable and can't be backed by independent sources. Rest official content can be backed by news articles, but I am unable to find online news articles. Fixing this page would require both time and effort. I think it be should be cleaned up. If it doesn't pass criteria of notable police officer, it should be blown. Local Reporter (talk) 22:12, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Local Reporter: Good luck with that. I can keep an eye on the page and assist when I see a possibility. --Muhandes (talk) 12:00, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
Tagging
I'm not going to edit war over the tags, but I think they are valid, and some of the articles have had a tag already. I noticed these articles because they were all edited by a blocked user who represents a marketing agency and I presume represents at least some of the universities they edited about. I noticed that the articles do little more than tell of the existence of the university and its offerings, which is no different than a promotional leaflet or brochure from those places. The notability guidelines for educational institutions have changed; no longer does the mere existence of one merit the university an article. This includes being a state or otherwise public university. 331dot (talk) 13:32, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
- @331dot: First, I certainly don't plan to edit war on this, or even to argue much. Consider that all those pages were on my watch list. In most cases you tagged, I simply removed the page from my watch list (with maybe a couple of exceptions).
- Which brings me to why I think your mass tagging was misinformed. Prior to you blocking that editor, I personally went over most of their edits and either reverted the edit or, in some cases, incorporated the information in a neutral manner with a reliable source. By tagging every article they touched you are certainly taking the easy way out, but you are rewarding my (no so hard) work with a {{Cleanup-PR}} tag. As I said I am not going to argue, I am simply leaving the scene and I'm sure the articles are better off with that tag.
- As for mass tagging with {{notability}}, I think you may be misinformed as well. Over the years, WP:INEI has taken the position that universities in India which are approved by the UGC and are shown to be operational, can be assumed to be notable. That's not saying they are notable by definition, just that the threshold for stub creation is low. I believe this was done to fight systemic bias. Granted, this is WP:LOCALCONSENSUS, but I don't think mass tagging is the proper way to address disagreement with consensus, local as it may be. On the other hand, WP:INEI is mostly dead, so maybe there is no one to argue with. --Muhandes (talk) 15:00, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

The fact was ... that George Poynter Heath (pictured), the first portmaster of Queensland, Australia, was responsible for establishing 33 lighthouses, Booby Island Light being the last one? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/George Poynter Heath. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if it received over 400 views per hour. Mpmsu, registrar information deleted by u, why? Itoriya1 (talk) 11:56, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
- Itoriya1, because common practice and consensus is that registrar info is trivial. We mention the Chancellor and VC only, and in some cases, the pro-chancellor. Registrar info is usually mentioned only if it was noted extensively by an independent and reliable source. Muhandes (talk) 12:11, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
BritAsia TV page
Hello, i am from BritAsia TV.I am trying to edit the BritAsia wikipedia page so it does not only focuses on the music awards but BritAsia as a whole. However, i am not able to save the changes i had made on the page. Do you have any rights or a part of BritAsia in any way? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Broadstreet158 (talk • contribs) 14:14, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Broadstreet158: First, since you are from BritAsia TV, you have an obvious conflict of interest regarding this issue. I left you some guidelines at your own talk page regarding how to handle this conflict, but basically, you are required to avoid editing or creating articles about the subject.
- As for the matter of the BritAsia TV article, what you unknowingly did was trying to hijack the article for Brit Asia TV Music Awards, which is unacceptable. If BritAsia TV is notable (and I happen to think that it might be), a separate page should be created about the subject. Since you are not allowed to do so, I suggest you ask for help at a relevant task forces e.g. the television stations task force or the Wikipedia:WikiProject Television/British television task force. I am not a member of either, so I would not know how to assist you. --Muhandes (talk) 15:44, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
We have no idea who set up this page but they were not part of BritAsia. We do want to create a separate page however the name was to similar to the existing one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Broadstreet158 (talk • contribs) 15:58, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Broadstreet158: Who created that article is immaterial, although whomever created that article were obviously not part of BritAsia. Like I explained, anyone related to BritAsia would have a conflict of interest and could not author that article. As a matter of fact it was me. --Muhandes (talk) 17:01, 24 March 2021 (UTC)

Chitkara Institute Of Engineering and Technology
Hi, I am fairly new here but have took my time to understand this issue and i think redirecting Chitkara Institute Of Engineering and technology to specifically to its mention in Chitkara University Punjab in the list of Schools and Institutes might be a solution. it has been done before with sandoz to novartis page, which is a great example of how it can be done. I tried adding this suggest to afd vote page but was removed so i thought it would be better to levaing it to you as you seem to be involved in the topic. Thank you sir --Wikigetter (talk) 12:20, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Wikigetter: I suggest you read the AFD. What you are suggesting is exactly what I did originally. Another editor objected it and reverted my redirect, so I was forced to go to AFD. In the AFD proposal itself, I am again proposing to redirect. --Muhandes (talk) 14:34, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
DYK for Recording Industry Foundation in Taiwan
On 4 April 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Recording Industry Foundation in Taiwan, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that after IFPI Taiwan established the IFPI Taiwan Charts in August 1996, the charts were noted for having their own World Wide Web site? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Recording Industry Foundation in Taiwan. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Recording Industry Foundation in Taiwan), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Mariah Carey- My All music video
Hello sir, so I read the Wikipedia page for the Mariah Carey music video for "My All" that you contributed in editing, and there's something that's really bothering me. Certainly, you've seen the music video, and you know that there's a man in it, right? Well, I've been skowering the net in hopes of finding the identity of this man out of curiousity, but I've come up empty-handed... So, all I'm asking of you is to look through any references you have to settle this once and for all so I could be at peace. However, you are definitely not obliged to do so. I just find it to be something really interesting to research, and maybe you might feel the same way? Anyway, I hope that you are having a nice day or night.
With regards, Carrot Carrot465 (talk) 06:14, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry to disappoint you Carrot465, but I haven't seen the video for "My All" or even heard the song, nor do I have any specific references. I actually didn't read the article either. State of the Art- Hilltop Hoods recent edits
Hi Muhandes! Thanks for the edit of the 'State of the Art' page. I'm new to wikipedia and still getting the hang of editing, and wanted to address your edits. I shouldn't have uploaded that paragraph so soon, but it is the start of a much larger section that I will upload now, I hope the extra lines will help it to outline the context of the album release and not seem so irrelevant. As for the name of the section 'Critical Release', once I have finished the section it will have detail of a audience radio poll, and the relevant aria charts, so possibly 'Audience Reception' or simply 'Reception' will be a more accurate title? Let me know your thoughts EdgyVeggie505 (talk) 03:51, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
- @EdgyVeggie505: I don't really edit music articles much, so if you need advise you should try WT:ALBUM. I do advise that you familiarize yourself with WP:ALBUMSTYLE and even more so with WP:CHARTS. Sweet Caroline
Hi, thanks for messaging me. I had to change the years on “Sweet Caroline” because it was definitely released as a single in 1969 and not 1970. Not only that, but if you look at older Billboard charts, the song peaked at number four on August 16, 1969. Here’s the Wikipedia link as my proof: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Billboard_Hot_100_top-ten_singles_in_1969. Here is the 45cat link to show the actual release date: http://www.45cat.com/record/55136. However, to prevent any conflict, I will use the 45cat link as the reliable source, if that is alright. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.199.113.193 (talk) 22:22, 22 June 2021 (UTC)

Reason for adding citations
to Tripura University as it had "more citations needed" tag. The whole article was based on its official website. Wikifulness (talk) 04:29, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Wikifulness: First, this is the version of the article before you started. I don't see a "more citations needed" tag. Second, the "more citation needed" tag means that there are facts which need citations, and that citations should be added inline near these facts, not not that random citations should be added to the lead. Finally, even if you did add the citations to verify facts, collegedunia and shiksha are unreliable and the last source you added was a copy of an source which was already used, which is not helpful at all. --Muhandes (talk) 07:03, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Reference no.1 was added by me. I saw the tag clearly many times even from the last year. So I did it. No more discussions about it. Thanks Wikifulness (talk) 10:51, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
