Why are you deleting the external links en masse? People want to find out about house churches. Links that are commercial are candidates to be deleted based upon Wikipedia policies. Links that provide 100% free information should be on here. Better to provide the link than to clutter the page with an absurd number of posts. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mschwab88 (talk • contribs)
- Basically, I deleted the links because Wikipedia is not a repository of links. There were way too many links there. What is needed is a small set of links that an provide further explanation of what house churches are, not a directory of every house church organization, how-to pages, and blogs. I would suggest that if the links are to return, that maybe 4 or 5 directly relevant links (at most) be chosen. BTW, yoiu probably want to have this discussion at Talk:House church instead of on your talk page. -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 15:31, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to House church. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. TeapotgeorgeTalk 07:18, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Speedy deletion nomination of Talk.House church
[edit]A tag has been placed on Talk.House church, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. –Grondemar 03:39, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
No ... go ahead and delete it. I was following instructions online that seem to be out of date. MSchwab99
