Please do not write "currently", as explained by clicking on WP:CURRENTLY, as you did at Marco Bezzecchi in this change. Wikipedia is an enduring encyclopedia and currently means nothing without an attendant date. As it is some months until the season start, it's better to be circumspect when adding new contract detail. He might die between now and then. Thank you.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 03:04, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
- I've just looked at the article lower down where there was some non-WP:NPOV subjective acclaim "pretty slow" "brilliant" "mere" (see WP:WTW). Also, Wikipedia uses words for integers between one and nine "outside the top 5" (I also use ten, as it's short and succinct). Thank you.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 03:35, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
alright, thanks, I'll keep these in mind MrSplashman77 (talk) 10:26, 3 January 2022 (UTC)

NBA sources
[edit]Adrian Woj is not a reliable source. An official press release is. The Trail Blazers just announced about 15 mins ago that Dunn was signed. The report on their website yesterday means nothing, as it clearly said "report" in the title. That means it's not official, even though it's on their website. NBA.com has staff writers that write about reported stuff, even though it may not be official. Hope this helps you out. Mandomanny313 (talk) 17:36, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
Why is Woj not considered a reliable source? He has insider info from all the teams, and basically everything he posts has become true. The reports on NBA.com are just that, reports, fair enough, but even then, if the injuries have already taken place, and they've heard from the team that it will happen, then it will. I know you say it means nothing, but almost everything they claimed to report, or Woj and Sham reported, has turned out to be true the past years. If you find me reports on the nba.com website, or tweets from Woj and Shams that jumped the ship on a move, and didn't end up happening, I will gladly stop using them as reliable sources. MrSplashman77 (talk) 18:03, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
Shams and Woj, along with REPORTS on the NBA websites, are not reliable. Ask about any well-respected NBA editor on Wikipedia and they'll tell you the same thing. (talk) 18:15, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
Are you a well-respected NBA editor? And, yes, you've already told me this, I'm asking why, you're not answering my question or request to bring relevant news that have failed to materialize after the news report broke. MrSplashman77 (talk) 18:30, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2020/11/bucks-to-acquire-bogdan-bogdanovic-from-kings-in-sign-and-trade.html A Bogdan Bogdanovic trade that was reported by Woj fell through before it was reported by either team. Mandomanny313 (talk) 18:52, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
Fair enough, have a nice evening MrSplashman77 (talk) 18:59, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

. —Bagumba (talk) 11:00, 4 July 2022 (UTC)Hello, MrSplashman77
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Bensci54, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I’ve proposed an article that you started, Syarifuddin Azman, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. To prevent the deletion, please add a reference to the article. You may remove the deletion tag yourself once the article has at least one reliable source.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Bensci54}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Syarifuddin Azman moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Syarifuddin Azman, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Engr. Smitty Werben 20:03, 29 September 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Engr. Smitty. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, K. J. McDaniels, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Engr. Smitty Werben 19:11, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
Kalev
[edit]Hi! Thanks for the edits related to Estonian basketball. Just wanted to give you feedback based on this edit. BC Kalev (Kalev/Cramo) is not the same team with BC Tallinna Kalev (currently known as Tallinna Kalev/Audentes). Veidemann in fact plays in BC Tallinna Kalev.Pelmeen10 (talk) 05:09, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
Oh my, apologies. Thats a big mistake from my part, thanks for the heads up! MrSplashman77 (talk) 13:52, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
LaGerald Vick
[edit]Hi. Can I please ask why you made the following years changes to LaGerald Vick? They were baseless and simply inaccurate. You did the same thing at Aaron Fuller (basketball). I find this a little concerning if this has been occurring at multiple articles. DaHuzyBru (talk) 04:07, 21 February 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Kevin Murphy (basketball). Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. Thank you. Engr. Smitty Werben 15:35, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
- Here's the box score for the game he played in, on March 15th. https://www.asia-basket.com/boxScores/Philippines/2023/0315_1818_2348.asp it clearly shows him playing, and has not played for another team since then.
- I have seen that you linked an instagram post from some basketball rumour page that has him going to Saudi Arabia, but his insta profile only has North Port pictures: https://instagram.com/bangup_55?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= MrSplashman77 (talk) 16:37, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
Relative currency values
[edit]Hi. I've reverted your addition of relative currency values (in US dollars and Euros) for the lifetime winnings of Gaius Appuleius Diocles as charioteer. The calculator you used, and the sums it generated, have no clear reliable authorship or scholarly standing. They amount to well intended but forbidden original research on your part. Only one of the sources used in the article attempt to produce a modern currency equivalent; the Struck blog, which undermines its own plausibility with some very unlikely, possibly playful assertions unsupported by any other specialist in the field. The issues involved are covered, at least in part, on the article talk page. Thanks for reading this. Regards, Haploidavey (talk) 22:42, 5 July 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Van Jefferson has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Calling another user retarded is never appropriate, please avoid doing so in the future. Hey man im josh (talk) 18:29, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
