Your edits to the Thor (Marvel Cinematic Universe) article

[edit]

Hello,

Twice your edits have been reverted due to failure to meet the WP: Manual of Style (MoS). You are changing grammar within specific quotes, and specifically altering American English. This is against the guidelines of the MoS. Please familiarize yourself with this before continued edits, otherwise they will continue to be reverted and you may face potential repercussions such as being banned from editing. Thank you!

And in the Thor: Love and Thunder article—

[edit]

I'm curious – how do you parse the sentence

...this would affect whether Thor is still carrying the extra weight he is depicted with in Endgame...

such that you consider

...this would affect whether Thor is still carrying the extra weight he has depicted within Endgame...

to be an improvement?

Because here's how the sentence works. In Avengers: Endgame, Thor was depicted with some extra weight. That weight is, therefore, "the extra weight he is depicted with, in Endgame". The question is, how much time passes between Avengers: Endgame and Thor: Love and Thunder? The answer to that question is what will affect whether he is still carrying the aforementioned extra weight.

In your version of the sentence, however, it would appear that Thor has... within Endgame... depicted some extra weight? What?

Also, in any edit – don't change the wording of direct quotes, even if you consider them ungrammatical.

I'm afraid Bloodyboppa is right. You are at the moment heading towards official warnings and eventually editing blocks, if you keep ignoring other editors' guidance.

Information icon Hi MovieGuy2005! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you.
