Hi

Hey there, thanks for your message - much appreciated. I've reached the end of the line with the kind of debate that surrounds WP:F1 and the handling of the modern side of the sport here on Wikipedia. Some other editors have their own way of looking at things, and that's fine, but I don't have the time or patience to work with them. I'll still be watching the older F1 articles, but the current seasons, races and drivers will be off my radar. Thanks again for the kind words, and for all the great work you do - I'm sure we'll cross paths here and there :) Cheers, Bretonbanquet (talk) 19:33, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Yes, that's a good way to look at it! :) Bretonbanquet (talk) 23:04, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Re:F1POM

I personally would go with the Webber one; the six-in-six significance rather than Schumacher "quickest time-but-not-pole". Apologies for the length of time taken to reply, but it appears my laptop is having its "time of the month". Craig(talk) 20:46, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

Newsletter delivery

It looks like you may want to try to get someone else to deliver the F1 newsletter. Sadly, Message Delivery Bot's toolserver page will not load and the user who designed the bot and controls the page isn't active anymore. -- Nascar1996(TalkContribs) 02:15, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

You probably would like to use User:EdwardsBot... seems fairly easy to get permission. -- Nascar1996(TalkContribs) 00:28, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
Ugh, typical bots! Hopefully we can get access before this week's race is needed! Craig(talk) 20:37, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

Used people

I liked your userpage. How can I get the photo effect & navbar for my page? (It's more cluttered than I like...) TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 09:26, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

Thx. I tried copying the header & such, & the closing bits, & got a dud: the pic would display, but not the nav links. Did I just leave off essential syntax? TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 11:51, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
I have no clue how that's done... (Simply changing the name didn't work...) TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 12:13, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
Thanks so much. Come back in a day or so if you're at all curious how it comes out. ;p TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 12:33, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
One last thing... (Why do I feel like Columbo? ;p ) Can I rename the subpages? Or delete them from the bar? I only really need the "about", "contributions", & the sandbox. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 12:45, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
And we're back to me being clueless again. :) (Bear in mind, I still have link pointing bite me sometimes. ;p ) Could you fix it? (Better still, explain it? In case somebody asks me...) TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 13:13, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
Y'know, if I'd been thinking, I'd have realized checking the page history would tell me... :( Thx, tho. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 20:44, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for your greeting! I am interested in joining the Formula One project, being an avid fan and missing races only in cases of force majeure since 2008, would you mind showing me the ropes? Andrija Domitrović (talk) 13:06, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited ART Grand Prix, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alexander Rossi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

GP2 "season in progress" footnotes

Hi Midgrid. You appear to be interested in GP2 driver articles. I notice that most (all?) of the GP2 driver articles still have the "season in progress" footnotes beneath their career summary and GP2 results tables. I'll probably get around to removing/hiding them some time in the next couple of weeks, but I thought I'd let you know in case you were enthused to do it before I get to it. Regards. DH85868993 (talk) 02:22, 4 October 2012 (UTC)

A favour, please!

I know you're probably busy this morning, but could you possibly review the Scott Malvern article for me; I'm not too amused with the automated "Stub" rating. As you can probably see, I'm running short of time before work and I need to head off sharpish, haha! Kind regards, Craig(talk) 07:09, 11 October 2012 (UTC)

Many thanks good sir...I just wasn't convinced that several hours of hard graft only merited a Stub...the Malvern story is one of two sides; one being that the guy is a bloody good peddler, and the second is the last-minute deals that he seems to sign due to insufficient budget. I'll pad out the karting references after I have a crack at the other part of work here; stage report on the Tour of Beijing cycling! Craig(talk) 19:33, 11 October 2012 (UTC)

Re:Newsletter

I had forgotten about it, too! Besides, my attention to it had kinda wavered by the end of the season. Very frequently the results wouldn't go up until well after the sessions had completed. I've been focusing on other projects on here too; I've been doing many of the main cycling races over the last year, and I only do the odd article for motorsport rather than the other way around. That Malvern article was the first in a while. Besides, it is probably time for us to pass on to the next range of contributors, if people want to pick it up. Four years; time to give others their turn I feel. Craig(talk) 21:48, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

Around 60 issues in total; we can certainly hold our heads up with the amount of work we have put in over the years! Definitely echo your sentiments, and will gladly return the favour! Craig(talk) 19:04, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
But that said, it allows me to do some more projects of my own on here; António Félix da Costa amongst others, which has now doubled in size! Oops. Craig(talk) 19:28, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
The interesting way to spend Christmas Eve! Haha! Looks good so far; definitely merits its B and eventual GA and beyond... Luckily, I never ever created my sandbox; avoided such dilemmas and monstrosities! Craig(talk) 21:06, 9 January 2013 (UTC)

Lap leader chart

Hey Midgrid! I have one question and I turned to you for help. How to make a lap leader chart in the race article? Thanks in advance! Yes, I am a noobie wikipedian :) Andrija Domitrović (talk) 18:41, 15 January 2013 (UTC)

Article Feedback deployment

Hey Midgrid; I'm dropping you this note because you've used the article feedback tool in the last month or so. On Thursday and Friday the tool will be down for a major deployment; it should be up by Saturday, failing anything going wrong, and by Monday if something does :). Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 23:55, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
