Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mater Academy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Somerset Academy. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Suggested edits to the Gulf States Toyota Distributors page

Hi Mgreason,

I hope you are doing well. Previously you had helped review and update suggestions on the Gulf States Toyota Distributors wiki page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_States_Toyota_Distributors

I would love your help to clean this page to focus on Gulf States Toyota instead of Freidkin Group. The article is currently confusing because the current version focuses on Friedkin Group and is irrelevant.

Can you please review my suggestions to update the page with the goal of making it focus more on Gulf States Toyota, the intended topic of the page?

I have added additional suggested edits to the Gulf States Toyota Distributors Talk page and would kindly request your help in reviewing those recommended updates. Thank you for your time and consideration! --SSuggests (talk) 04:13, 23 February 2022 (UTC)

Southeast Toyota Distributors moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Southeast Toyota Distributors, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Thanks for your assistance. I should be finished in a day or two and I'll let you know.

File permission problem with File:ClaudeYates.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:ClaudeYates.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 03:27, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

File source problem with File:FSUCircus75.PNG

Thank you for uploading File:FSUCircus75.PNG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. DYK for John A. Sibley Horticultural Center

On 18 June 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article John A. Sibley Horticultural Center, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Callaway Gardens promoted the John A. Sibley Horticultural Center as "one of the most advanced garden/greenhouse complexes in the world", before closing it in 2015 after more than 30 years? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/John A. Sibley Horticultural Center. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, John A. Sibley Horticultural Center), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Notice

The file File:MODIS.PNG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused. Low quality crop. Can be re-cropped from File:Image-Jacksonville Skyline Panorama 3.jpg. if needed. Source seems to be wrong as well.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 07:59, 29 July 2022 (UTC)

No indication of notability, we are not the housing website for the FSU. Information about notable aspects of the student housing (no need for the capitalization), e.g. registered buildings, famous architects, ... may be a good topic if enough info exists, but this list is just a directory.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The List of Student Housing at Florida State University is a more comprehensive and organized presentation of information in the article Florida State University student housing, which also has the Category:Lists of university and college buildings in the United States attached. Additionally, the list of Former Housing is not a directory. Perhaps these two articles should be merged?

Information icon Hello, I'm Sumanuil. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Jacksonville, Florida, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 01:12, 3 July 2023 (UTC)

I don't recall an image file within any article that includes a citation. Immediately prior to "change pic of mayor", I made the revision, "change current mayor", and I cited a source with the change. On the article's page, it is right beside the picture. Mgrē@sŏn (Talk) 15:39, 3 July 2023 (UTC)

I didn't see any new ref in the article. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 21:56, 3 July 2023 (UTC)

Look closer. Mgrē@sŏn (Talk) 22:58, 3 July 2023 (UTC)

All I saw was an old one about the last mayor. But there's one one there now. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 04:50, 5 July 2023 (UTC)

As I stated previously, if you look at the history, "Immediately prior to "change pic of mayor", I made the revision, "change current mayor", and I cited a source with the change." It's actually very mature to admit that you made a mistake. Mgrē@sŏn (Talk) 13:42, 5 July 2023 (UTC)

I am not going to admit to a "mistake" that didn't happen. Your "new ref" was just the one that was there before, and it was about the last mayor (Lenny Curry). The fact that it was entitled "INAUGURATION DAY: Lenny Curry and Mike Williams Take Oath of Office" should have been a hint. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 23:08, 5 July 2023 (UTC)

Sandbox

Because the categories were not disabled the first time.

User and draft pages are simply not allowed to show up in mainspace categories as if they were finished articles. When I perform this incategory search, I must see the words "There were no results matching the query" — if I do not, and instead I see one or more pages that are in draft or user space, then those pages must be removed from the category, because they aren't allowed to be in categories. But your page showed up in that search, meaning that it was in categories and had to be removed from the categories because it isn't allowed to be in categories.

If you want to add categories in disabled form from the start, so that they're displaying as text links to the categories but not filing the page in the categories, then that's perfectly fine and up to you — but it's your responsibility to ensure that the categories are disabled from the start, so that I don't see the page when I run that search. If you fail to do that, then it isn't my responsibility to leave the page in categories it can't be in — its presence in categories is a problem that has to be fixed, because unfinished content in sandbox cannot be filed in categories as if they were already finished articles.

And then, if you revert the page back into categories that it can't be in, while pinging me in the edit summary and accusing me of "vandalism", and only then disable the categories after making sure I knew that you were trying to give me a kick in the balls, then it similarly is not my responsibility to notice that you disabled the categories after trying to kick me in the balls. I'm entitled to act entirely on the basis of what I see, and what I saw was you accusing me of "vandalism" for simply cleaning up a thing that had to be cleaned up, and I'm entitled to refuse to take a kick in the balls for it.

Again, if you want to disable the categories from the start, then that's fine and I don't care. But you must disable the categories if you want them there, and cannot leave the page filed in categories, and are not entitled to give me any flak about it: if I see your sandbox page in that incategory search, then it has to be removed from the categories, period. So it's your job to ensure that the page never shows up in that search, by making sure that any category declarations on it are disabled right off the bat. Bearcat (talk) 16:01, 12 July 2023 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:LegacyHall.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Ирука13 17:47, 30 July 2023 (UTC)

Precisely how am I being a "dick"? Sandbox pages are not allowed to be filed in mainspace categories, and that's an absolute inviolable rule and not a mere suggestion — so when I find sandbox pages in mainspace categories, they have to be removed. So how is doing my job "being a dick"? Bearcat (talk) 23:31, 10 August 2023 (UTC)

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:BobbyBowdenStatue.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the image description page states the source and copyright status of the derivative work, it only names the creator of the original work without specifying the status of their copyright over the work.

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the original image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thanks again for your cooperation. — Ирука13 04:52, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

Information icon Hi Mgreason! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at John Champion that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. This is not considered a minor edit. Graywalls (talk) 19:03, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

Really? I thought a minor edit was anything less than 100 characters. Mgrē@sŏn (Talk) Mgrē@sŏn (Talk) 19:06, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
