Block message:

<nowiki>Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Delibolt". The reason given for Delibolt's block is

Decline reason: Procedural decline only. You need to fill in the form fields for us to find and lift the block. For the record, I was going to do so, but can't as you didn't fill in the forms! Yamla (talk) 18:19, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find any reason for someone blocking me because I don't know who's delibolt and I don't know how he came across my IP address. I know nothing of the sort. I request that the administrators should unblock me and try make proper scrutiny before blocking a user, it's very rude and unfair to block someone anyhow.

It looks like you coincidentally are using the same IP address as a blocked user. I compared your and their edits and saw no overlap and no reason at all to believe you are trying to mislead us. Sorry. This sort of thing happens from time to time, especially in areas where IP addresses often get reused (like where you are editing from). It's nothing personal! --Yamla (talk) 18:19, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
How can I feel in the forms — Preceding unsigned comment added by Menneth (talkcontribs)
You'll need to exactly follow the instructions which appear when you attempt to edit. I'm sorry I can't be much more use here. Note that autoblocks normally clear on their own within 24 hours, so if you can't figure this out, it should just clear up on its own! --Yamla (talk) 21:36, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Shekere (song)

[edit]

Hi Menneth,
"Shekere" is not a notable song and doesn't deserve a separate article. The song fails WP:GNG and WP:NSONG. "Shekere" did not chart on any country's official music chart and was not critically reviewed in reliable sources. Per NSONG, we are supposed to redirect songs and singles to their parent article. Since we do not currently have an article about the Woman of Steel album, we are required to redirect the "Shekere (song)" article to Yemi Alade. You should focus on finishing the draft article you created about the Black Magic album.  Versace1608  Wanna Talk? 15:54, 15 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'll finish the draft sooner Menneth (talk) 05:56, 16 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox chronology

[edit]

Hi Menneth,
Artists chronologies aren't limited to just their albums. When looking at an artist's chronology, you need to factor in all bodies of work released by that artist. Please read Template:Infobox album#Chronology to get a better understanding, thanks.  Versace1608  Wanna Talk? 08:27, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Are you simply a fan of Yemi Alade or are you part of her team?  Versace1608  Wanna Talk? 08:48, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'm her fan, part of her team and also have learnt to edit Wikipedia pages / articles that are in anyway connected to me through nationalisation or mere liking,Sir. Menneth (talk) 08:58, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well since you are part of her team, you are not allowed to edit articles relating to her directly. Per WP:COI policy, you should heed to the following:
  • you are strongly discouraged from editing affected articles directly;
  • you may propose changes on talk pages (by using the {{request edit}} template), or by posting a note at the COI noticeboard, so that they can be peer reviewed;
  • you should put new articles through the Articles for Creation (AfC) process instead of creating them directly;
  • you should not act as a reviewer of affected article(s) at AfC, new pages patrol or elsewhere;
  • you should respect other editors by keeping discussions concise.
Moving forward, please do not edit articles relating to Yemi Alade or any member of the Effyize family. I am going to monitor your contributions and If I see you engaging in any form of direct editing to any affected article, I will report you for violating our COI policy.  Versace1608  Wanna Talk? 09:10, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a fan and not a direct member of her team, just as I'm a fan of all notable musicians, does it mean I don't edit any of the articles Menneth (talk) 12:07, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You cannot retract your words and contradict yourself. I will report you if I see you editing any Yemi Alade-related article directly. You've already admitted to being part of her team. There's no going back.  Versace1608  Wanna Talk? 14:34, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No going back, what's that supposed to mean? I'm not directly part of her team. Of course anyone can call him/herself team Wizkid, Davido, Chris Brown. How can you judge me by my first word only and not evaluate at all. As an administrator? Menneth (talk) 18:57, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I asked you a specific question and your answer was clear and concise. You are now lying and contradicting yourself simply because you want to continue to edit articles relating to Yemi Alade. I've already given you a warning so if I see you violating Wikipedia's WP:COI policy, I will report you.  Versace1608  Wanna Talk? 20:15, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

So I have to consult you for edits from now on Menneth (talk) 06:11, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not lying, this is not a live platform you don't know me and I don't know you neither do you know how connected I am to Yemi Alade. Don't create unnecessary misunderstandings here Menneth (talk) 06:13, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You do not need to consult me for edits. You are free to edit articles you do not have any connection with whatsoever. If you want to see changes made to any Yemi Alade-related article, you will need to propose changes on the talk page of the article by using the {{request edit}} template. I don't need to know you to communicate with you. I asked you a simple question and your response was clear. I am not trying to make unnecessary misunderstandings for you. I'd like you to become a productive editor and contribute to this encyclopedia effectively. However, in order to do that, you will need to abide by our policies and guidelines.  Versace1608  Wanna Talk? 12:06, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I am going to work on the Black Magic album in my sandbox. I will no longer be updating the draft article. You can request for it to be deleted under WP:G7 once I move the article to mainspace.  Versace1608  Wanna Talk? 12:15, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Why don't you want to continue the draft? Menneth (talk) 18:53, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not in connection with Yemi Alade Menneth (talk) 19:00, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am working on the album in my sandbox. As a matter of fact, I'm almost done with it. I will probably be moving it to mainspace tonight or tomorrow. I can no longer work on the draft article you created because you'd be considered the author of the article if I were to move the draft to mainspace. Per out COI policy, editors with a COI cannot create or directly edit articles they have an external relationship with. I hope I was able to clarify things for you. You keep saying that. I find that very hard to believe.  Versace1608  Wanna Talk? 19:05, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You should believe so, I'm not connected Menneth (talk) 09:47, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Black Magic (Yemi Alade Album) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mama Africa (Yemi Alade album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Independent Music Awards (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
