First of all there are plenty of photos on wikipedia that dont have a very good qualtiy, this is my proper photo and the link that you are talking about is for a different photo, i think you are leaving everything on wikipedia and only spying on my work, you cant bring a photo from the internet and say that this is the photo i uploaded, i think your only goal is to disrupt my work and you are making everything to disrupt my work, wikipedia accepted my photo and i am responsible of my work, stop that please and do not interfer in my work by claiming that my photo is taken from a site!!!! And if you think i am disrupting wikipedia you can tell the administrators, this is not your duty to judge my work. Having spent ten days trying to sort this issue, we have given up. Your multi layered system is a nightmare, moderating, admins, deleting entries before they are even complete, systems that require one to interact with different parts of the Wiki family, just to upload a photo or logo. Along with denials of username change, with no easy way of finding out why and what is requested, with referrals to so many different guidelines and rules. This should be about providing entries, with references, citing of facts, etc, a community that is able to contribute without having to jump through so many hoops just to ask for a review, challenge, a decision, or get something unblocked. It’s far too technical and has on this occasion disenfranchised over 16,000 individuals.

We shall not be using Wikipedia any further, please delete the Following Usernames: johninwales, joninwales, UKVANDPP and Joninwales at UKVANDPP.

Good Afternoon From the Tucson, AZ! Although my utilization like most for Wikipedia has been since it's birth, my editing of this massive pool of knowledge is at it's very beginnings. Unfortunately the reason for suddenly having the motivation to change anything whatsoever, would ALWAYS, as is human nature, be for my OWN self interest! I read the terms of Wikipedia's user policy, to which I will shed light on the obvious. ANYONE that says they do not base all their actions and decisions on their own self interest and benefit, is either lying, or is self destructive!

I am unfamiliar with the hierarchy of wikipedia at this moment, I adapt amazingly quick so I'll know in short time as to which of the two you are. The fact that you have removed in less than 24 hours time, this edit of mine you are either simply an overseer unaware of the atrocity that is the article "Mug Shot Publishing Industry" and will very shortly be divulged this knowledge, or you ARE the CORRUPTION and evil that profits from the extortion of humanity simply because you can.

Although my actions are for my own well being, the difference between mine and the individuals who profiteer off extortion irregardless of the legalities of their judicial loopholes, MINE are also in the benefit of HUMANITY! I absolutely refuse to allow someone to maintain operate an e commerce business that makes it's living by harassing, threatening, and torturing individuals with targeted attacks! If they continue to be allowed to backlink wikipedia for an increase in their domain authority, and also provide opinionated and corrupt NEWS from the same ip address, my edit on the article isn't only justified, it absolutely NECESSARY for me to ABOLISH this atrocity from continuing ! The massive exclamation point in an orange circle indicating the close relation of the source of that articles content will not satisfy me, or 5 million Americans I represent. Our team's presentation was at Tuesday, and other team's presentation was today. So, when my team finished editing(https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Korean_Mathematical_Olympiad&oldid=782860649), and after presentation, i thought other team can't get good score(because I edited almost all the page). There is no conflict of interest here, aside from the fact that I've followed him on Social media for years and I am a HUGE fan of his work! That said, I'm trying to create a page to highlight what I've discovered about him on the web. Unfortunately I'm having a lot of problems with this system, its guidelines are not very clear and the tools are not user friendly. I apologize if my use of the word "colleagues" mislead you to believe that I am getting paid for this task. Although I am seeking the aid of friends who share an interest in this subject and contribute information for the creation of this article; I am not employed by the subject or anyone he is connected to. Sure, that's a fair point. But the edit also contained the re-insertion of a bunch of improper formatting that I had previously gone through and tediously stripped out, so in this case it was less work for me to ask the other editor to reinsert the reference correctly than for me to do that again. I have a couple of suggested edits that I wanted to run past you.

2nd paragraph "Junkermann began her business career as a co-founder of football gaming..."

3rd paragraph I'd like the following sentence to be removed please. I now understand it may be construed as asserting without providing factual information. "Since 2011, Junkermann has returned to digital innovation, focusing on opportunities in areas like robotics, genomics, virtual reality, artificial intelligence and premium content."

In terms of her marriage to Ferdinando Brachetti Peretti, there are no articles about it to create a citation. How can it be referenced? I have the marriage certificate, but I wouldn't want to publish it. Any thoughts?

Conflict of interest

Hello Melcous, thank you very much for your message, I received it and just wanted to let you know that I do not have any connection to the company in the article TL Ventures Inc., I actually came across the article while researching about Venture Investment companies in the USA and then TL Ventures and decided to fix it as it had missing information and several other issues. I appreciate your concern as I'm aware that the idea is for Wikipedia's content to be neutral and having a connection to the company will become a conflict of interest, but I have no connection whatsoever with the company or anyone related to it, as a matter of fact I tried to fix the article's content so that it could be as neutral as possible, as you can see I made several mayor and minor edits as I looked up more information related to it. I already read the conflict of interest policies and none of it applies to me, as I have no external or internal connection to the company. I'll take a look at the article once again to make sure it is as neutral as possible.

I am not sure who you are and why you removed my insertion. Could you kindly explain that? I am new at this, maybe very obviously, but I can't see much difference between what I inserted and what for example the Cultural References section has in it about Peter Sellers other than that my insertion actually includes some interesting new assertions about Ivanov whereas the Sellers article doesn't add any information to give one a better understanding of Ivanov. If you think my insertion was overloaded with references then why not edit it as you think fit and let me see a copy?

My original insertion read as follows:

In Beyond Enkription, a Cold War novel largely based on facts, Yevgeny or Eugene Ivanov was allegedly involved in the murder of Stephen Ward, Christine Keeler’s supposed KGB handler in the Profumo scandal. You deleted my page Luis4012 without giving me the opportunity to correct any discrepancies. I was in the midst of adding more citations and removing some text. You did not even give me time to come into work this morning to fix it. What gives? What policy am I violating? I was clearly adding sources, photos, ect. Why did you delete? Now I have to start all over again with know what the hell I did wrong.

Hi Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi, no it wasn't accidental - I removed the spam and the speedy deletion notice and added the warning about their user name. This has seemed to me to be pretty usual practice by a number of editors when there is spam on a user talk page (rather than a user page), given that talk pages shouldn't be deleted and need to be the place where messages are left. Rothbury

Within the Rothbury entry, the link to the Lordenshaws page on gefrin.com (http://gefrin.com/lordenshaws/lordenshaws.html) is not a commercial link and adds to the richness of the Rothbury page by giving a popular and comprehensive overview of this prehistoric site. There is no Wikipedia page for the Lordenshaws hillfort (though I await survey information before starting work on just such an entry) so this information is entirely relevant.

"Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Rothbury" does not apply here...

Seagull123 Thanks for the message - yes sorry, normally I would include the place copied from, but because it was in Arabic and I was using google translate, I was able to work out that it was copied because the google translation was also available on the web elsewhere, but wasn't able to easily figure out where the Arabic was copied from, if that makes sense. Greeting Melcous, i am very new to Wiki I also work in a Higher Education environment. I am truly a hands on learner. I love Wiki!!! I appreciate you looking over my edit/addition on Patrick Kelly the designer. I followed your suggestions and omitted my name. Patrick Kelly was from the state of Mississippi and Mississippi never provided him with a celebration or an proper exhibition. Students and I at the school put on the exhibition. I worked with Philadelphia Museum of Art and the owners of his estate to bring a permanent collection to his alma mater, Jackson State University. I could use some Wiki help and a friend. I omitted my name in the edit, but if you research the exhibition itself you can see some recent articles mention Jackson State University exhibition we had for Patrick Kelly. One source was Vicksburg Post, another was Jackson State University News. Again, I thank you for your edit and suggestions and welcome any help. Again, I am very new to Wiki. and I am learning. Hi Melcous,

I see you rolled back my change on the Psalms article. I don't regularly edit Wikipedia and so I'm not sure how or where to properly go about making the case for a change and having it approved -- to that end, I don' even know who determines which users get "rollback privileges", and how those are granted. So if you don't mind, I'll posit my concerns here about the Psalms rollback, and perhaps I can learn something from your response. This is also a difficulty I've had with other Wikipedia articles regarding sourcing, and it is this: why is a single source sufficient to allow a Wikipedia article to use definitive language regarding an assertion, when outside Wikipedia the related issue may not be settled at all? In this case there is nothing like consensus in the legitimate historical community (which is so vast as to be almost impossible to get a consensus from, in some cases) that David did not author any psalms (nor even that he did or did not exist), but because one source was provided which states something definitively, it is treated as definitive by Wikipedia.

But isn't that simply Wikipedia passing the buck, so to speak? What makes one source, in the eyes of Wikipedia, more valid than another? If I find another reputable Jewish Scriptural study guide like the one sourced which says David probably *did* exist, would I then be able to replace the one assertion with the other? I would hope not, because that assertion would be equally non-established -- a single source, especially without providing access to that source's sources, doesn't establish anything. Thus, why is it not appropriate to change the language to something less definitive, such as "though some sources indicate", at least until multiple sources can be brought to bear? I understand the appeal of certainty, but surely it's better to use cautious language until something like certainty can actually be reached, regardless of what a single source happens to say.

You removed the intro statement from Daniel Maurice Wagner (born 28 July 1963) is a British Internet entrepreneur who has been called 'the founder of British eCommerce'.....' by removing "...who has been called 'the founder of British eCommerce'..." on the basis that the Chinese sources were not reputable enough (albeit that Taiwan News is a major Chinese Newspaper). Nevertheless, I said I would be bringing in more references as I am not in favour of trimming valid facts from wikipedia though I support writing the articles in neutral way and not advertising any specific party. I gave some references before and there are more references I found from the library and I am sending scanned copies of the same for your review. That settles my support of including the claim that he was in fact the founder (or pioneer) of British e-commerce. The article from Marketing in 1988 states 'MAID has built a unique technology platform that allows articles to be purchased using computers. Mr Wagner has pioneered the technology to take payment in this way....' (obviously in 1988 ecommerce wasn't even a term that had been invented but the quote is clear) and the second article is from the UK national newspaper the Guardian dated May 1995 which says ...(he) sees where the information highway is headed before anyone else has dreamed up the phrase' and '...ten years later, widely regarded as having invented electronic commerce, he launches his pioneering company.....'. I have done enough for my burden of proof as far as WP:V goes by giving reliable sources. Now if any one wants to read more on the topic, it is up to them to go to a library - but from my end, for some verification of the facts, I am giving the historical references for your reading as a courtesy and not just their citation details. The link you added is to the youtube page of an individual who has the same user name as your wikipedia editor name. So it is definitely not an official channel and should not be linked to, and it seems likely that it is a channel you are personally associated with, which means wikipedia's conflict of interest policies mean even if it could have been added it should not have been done so by you. Deletion of content within an article as non-notable?

Hi – I have a COI on this, so I'm engaging you on your talk page.

I noticed you removed the list of fellows from Shuttleworth Foundation as non-notable.

As I read the notability guidelines, notability guidelines apply to articles – not the content of articles. And while they may apply to lists, this is only when the page is literally a list, not a list within a non-list page. See: Wikipedia:Notability#Notability_guidelines_do_not_apply_to_content_within_an_article

Am I misreading this? If you think the list deletion was in error, perhaps you could restore it? Or maybe explain my misunderstanding here?

Career vs Academic Career

Hi Melcous, I can understand why you undid this change but many artists fundamentally operate as having two careers: an academic one that serves their teaching interests and an artistic one that serves their creative aspirations. This bio isn't fleshed out enough yet to acknowledge the artistic side, but for most artist / educators the two are quite distinct. It is not "puffery" to say so, it is professional reality. In that sense, studio art professors are quite different from academic professors for whom writing and research go hand in hand with teaching. There I would agree with you that saying "Academic Career" is redundant. My only point is that distinguishing "Academic Career" from "Artistic Career" -- or whatever the nomenclature might be -- is an important one for teaching artists. Thanks. Happy to discuss. What are the problems with the mccourt page? They aren't clear or listed. There are plenty of sources, it is written neutrally and objectively based on a person of interest. I can see one phrase on the page that may need editing but it is a quote from an news article from an independent person. After researching countless other pages of people of interest, they are written no differently to this and I can share examples if required. It would be most helpful to understand specific areas that aren't suitable for Wikipedia so that I may edit this one to conform. For example, citing examples of people he worked with on a programme was deemed promotional where in matter of fact, it's factual information about a show he produced? Any help on the phraseology would be most appreciated.

Why do you think that i have an external relationship with the people, places, or things i write here in Wikipedia? There aren't any links from the article to my website, why do you think this? I don't make advertisements. Mr. Noyce is no part of my family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products.

I never made such an experience here at Wikipedia like this yet: First you destroyed and removed important parts of the article, then you do completely false complaints and accuses. I don't want to make this experience again. We are all working here for free for the benefit of Wikipedia and freedom of information. So i want to be treated with respect. Hi! When looking at redirects of alternate spellings in Japanese it might help to review the romanization tables of Kunrei-shiki and Nihon-shiki - In those two "Furo" and "Ofuro" are spelled as "Huro" and "Ohuro" as the "fu" sound is rendered as "hu". So I have updated it and posted it anew. I could not post it to the original link, no longer being a comcast subscriber. Is this clear? The wikipedia SFMoran entry must refer to the new page, as it is alive and well, and accurate, and not a dead link. Please permit the new linking to it to stand or tell me how to do it. Thank you. Let me say it again. Almost all of the online sources that I could refer to *stem from my original web page*. It is the authority. Apart from the Budiansky article, which is cited, but of course not the life bio. The original wikipedia article points to my old webpage. That page is now dead and no longer archived. So ... I cleaned it up, updated it, and reposted it. I did as wordpress because of cost. Tell me, since you know all, how would you have the wikipedia article point properly toward the authoritative source of the new page? Imagine how I regret wasting time on this important issue and person by trying to do the right thing and permitting wikip readers to get to something not a dead link.

See if you can figure out a way to help out here rather than by fingerwagging at me about CoI and being a relative, for God's sake.

The single great weakness of wikipedia, as everyone knows, is this circularity and worse this mistaken overpolicing.

I feel the link should be added to the page. Although the title of the page refers to a geographic place, most of the article refers to the two anti-nuclear festivals held there.

As a writer and historian, I would suggest that the festivals are a significant aspect of recent Irish social history. I attended the first festival and feel that my eye-witness account is a primary source reference. I have no interest in attracting visitors to my site. Recycled Orchestra of Cateura

Hello Melcous, much pleasure and thank you very much for the indication.

The “Recycled Orchestra of Cateura” itself considers 2012 as the year of its beginning as an independent group, for its first international concert in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)[1], on June 13, 2012, in the event Rio+20 summit[2] (where the boys of the music school "Sounds of Cateura"[3] are directed by Luis Szarán[4], since 2002 creator of the program "Sounds of the Earth"[5]), as well as by the launch of the official teaser of the production of "Landfill Harmonic" in November 2012[6].

In addition, members of the orchestra declared in the two important newspapers of Paraguay (the main original sources are in spanish), in July 2012, that they became independent of "Sounds of the Earth": “Abc Color[7], «The teacher commented that initially they counted on the support of the project 'Sounds of the Earth', of the master Luis Szarán»; and “Ultima Hora[8], «The orchestra belonged until 2011 to Sounds of the Earth, a social program promoted by Luis Szarán».

Also in October 2012, the orchestra ratified the independence of "Sounds of the Earth" in that year: “Abc color”[9] and “Ultima Hora”[10].

In the orchestra's own fanpage he mentioned the disengagement of "Sounds of the Earth"[11], after the retirement of its director of the original program[12].

In 2006, "Sounds of the Earth" and the program Procicla founded the music school "Sounds of Cateura"[13], with children from 8 to 12 years old[14], and there was still no orchestra (since 2008 with members of other communities and not of Cateura[15]), nor the recycled instruments (since 2007[16]).

If you count the year 2006 as the beginning of the orchestra, you should describe the process with "Sounds of the Earth" until 2011, which is also cited in the first short documentary "Landfill Harmonic"[17], filmed in 2010[18], and mentioned by the producers themselves[19]

In mid-2016, three original members[20] of the social project Cateura denounced director Favio Chávez to the Public Ministry[21], for alleged doubts about the transparency of his administration of donations[22]. The complaint is still in force and has the backing of three national senators[23]. The director himself clarified that the funds go to his personal bank account[24].

Barnaby Joyce

Hi Melcous,

I see you have reversed my changes, but I can't understand why. They are correct. The High Court decision (http://www.austlii.edu.au/cgi-bin/viewdoc/au/cases/cth/HCA//2017/45.html) means that Mr Joyce was never validly elected to the Australian Parliament. As a consequence he never held any office, including the office of Deputy Prime Minister. These are legal facts.

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Eright/sandbox

Hello Melcous, I see you deleted the content in my sandbox. What was the reason for this? i thought a sandbox is there for users to create articles and get them correctly formatted before they are moved to a live Wiki page.
