If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Beatles Go Baroque requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. MikeWazowski (talk) 15:05, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it must be substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

Hi. When you recently edited Interstellar Overdrive, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Moe (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

One Side Epics

[edit]

First, thank you for rewrote my text about one side epics that i wrote about a month ago to a more fitting style, im spañish and 16 so its not fully developed, but i want to note that The return of the son of monster magnet by the Mothers of invention from 1966 has in fact multiple parts (Ritual Dance Of The Child-Killer, and Nullis Pretii (No Commercial Potential)) and that it isn´t at all improvisated, so it is truly the first one side epic by that definition. Check it out by yourself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.79.73.157 (talk) 07:02, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits on Forest Finns

[edit]

Hello. I reverted your edits since it's not an official, or even commonly recognized, flag, but then I noticed your comment on the image page on Commons, where you wrote that it could be found through a search on "Kven flag" on Google. So I thought I'd point out to you that Forest Finns and Kvens are two totally different things. Forrest Finns moved to the western part of Central Sweden and parts of Norway across the border from there during the 16th century, while Kvens lived, and still live, in northern Norway, in the northernmost part of the Scandinavian Peninsula, after having moved there during the 18th and 19th centuries. So they're very far apart, both in geographical distance and in time, and the only thing they have in common is speaking Finnish. Thomas.W talk 16:25, 10 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I do know this, but when you click on the "show image" button, it specifically says in the image link that it is "skogfinsk.jpg" i.e. Forest Finnish in Norwegian. And if you want further proof of searching "kven flag" on google and receiving the Forest Finn flag, see this screenshot. McLennonSon (talk) 17:11, 10 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It's still not official, or commonly recognized. People make up all kinds of flags, so unless you find a reliable source (i.e. not a blog or forum...) for it being commonly used today among descendants of the Forest Finns, or having been used in earlier times as an official symbol, it doesn't belong in the article. Thomas.W talk 17:20, 10 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Oh ok!! I will try to be more careful when adding stuff like that. However I think the flag of the Kvens are also up on Wikipedia are being used commonly though. Just informing you! McLennonSon (talk) 17:24, 10 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Murder Of The Universe

[edit]

Per your creation of Murder Of The Universe, you appear to be unaware of MOS:CT, that we should not capitalise words like "of" and "the" in titles of articles. It should have been created at Murder of the Universe, which already existed as a redirect before you created content at your article. Please search to see if a redirect with correct capitalisation exists before creating alternate namespaces with incorrect capitalisation in future. Thank you. Ss112 13:29, 16 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies for the error, I simply wrote it the way it was capitalized on the official announcements regarding the album. I do not have to power to move the article I made, because moving it to the correct capitalization, would require the help of an admin.–– ♫ Ellie 13:50, 16 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not too familiar with IPA, but what are you actually changing here?

[edit]

Can you explain this please? https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Magnus_Carlsen&oldid=1016332144&diff=cur

  • I changed a consonant. In Magnus Carlsen's dialect he'd pronounce it with the "l" sound i changed to. As it was written before, it would have been pronounced with a normal run of the mill "l". The "l" sound i added occurs when r and l merge, in the "Urban East Norwegian" dialect.
Interesting, I am aware that there are two main varieties of Norwegian but I suppose you have more specialised knowledge in this area. English speakers will just pronounce it like a normal l I'm sure. MaxBrowne2 (talk) 11:47, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
