User talk:MaybeitsMir
I am very easily distracted, and very forgetful. If you start a conversation here, but find that I'm still making edits elsewhere well after the fact, then it's probably completely slipped my mind.
Feel free to reply to your post to send another notification my way (I won't mind as long as you keep it reasonable), and I'll do my best to reply as soon as I can!

- Like I have already told you on your talk page, sources are required on Wikipedia. You can't just say "trust me", you have to be able to back it up with a reliable source. Sorry, but that's just how Wikipedia works. miranda :3 05:50, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
- Ok how should I back up that I am a family member and know this for a fact WallaceMillerV (talk) 05:51, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
- I am simply trying to add factual info he is literally my great great grandfather and its also public info that AL Miller is father to Wallace Miller WallaceMillerV (talk) 05:51, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
- How do I have a source for something like this? WallaceMillerV (talk) 05:53, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
- Provide a published, reliable source with the information. We cannot just take your word for it. If you can't find a reliable source to back up this info, then it just doesn't belong on Wikipedia until one is found. Read WP:RS to learn what a reliable source is, or, at the very least, ask on the article's talk page and maybe someone else can find one. Only then can the info be added. miranda :3 05:54, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
- What you personally know is enitrely irrelevant. Wikipedia is only interested in what appears in published, reliable sources. -- D'n'B-t -- 05:54, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
- Well thats a bummer because I have tons of information on him. What makes it a reliable source anyway? Who's to say I can't fabricate an entire article and make that my damn source? I don't really get how a direct family member isn't a source what if I proved I was a family member what if I literally have pictures of AL miller's birth certificate as well as Wallace Miller's? How is that not a source ?? WallaceMillerV (talk) 05:57, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
- All of those questions are awnsered at Wikipedia:Reliable sources. -- D'n'B-t -- 05:59, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
- Please read WP:RS. That's where you'll find the answers to these questions. If you don't at least do that, then there is no chance that you can add this information. If the information isn't sourced according to Wikipedia's guidelines, then it just doesn't belong here. miranda :3 06:00, 15 July 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for being chill
[edit]You were my first interaction here on wikipedia… and well… thanks for not chewing me out (like I expected most editors to…) Couldn’t find a reliable source for my edit on Dust II (I don’t think urban dictionary counts, lol) so it’s gonna stay how it was for now… Thanks again!
