The DVD set has a making of documentary and they mention that this third season were all new stories as they had told all of Jennifer Worth's stories in season two. NBA international rights

I sorta, kinda understand your position about those players, however, as long as they are active, they should remain on the article, whenever we think they're good enough to be eventually signed is a moot point, I mean, none of us is the GM, it'd be pure speculation from our part and, even if they're never good enough to make an NBA roster, they're, at the very least, trade chips the team could use some day.187.252.97.254 (talk) 00:02, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

Scotland in the UK

Hi, I would just like to point out that Scotland is actually in the UK, and therefore Scottish films are also British. Many English films on Wikipedia say that they are British, while films made in other parts of the United Kingdom are called Scottish, Welsh, or Northern Irish and seem to not be equal to English films. English is NOT synonymous with British. That means that anything English, Scottish, Welsh or Northern Irish is British. Please can there be consistency in Wikipedia as English films are called 'British' and Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish are not. Thank you. EverythingGeography (talk) 20:46, 7 June 2014 (UTC)

BTW While Wikipedia, by its very nature, is not designed for consistency. You are free to try and change things at the various Manual of Styles but I have seen this go back and forth several times in my 9 years here and it has yet to be resolved to everyone's satisfaction. Thanks for your message. I got the nice bluray set of his films a few years ago. The original set came with a book with articles about each film. This current set doesn't seem to have that but the price is better than when I bought it. I am sorry but I don't remember exactly where the item in question was mentioned. There was also a pop up trivia track that you could turn on and it might have been there. Glad you noticed C. I'm old enough that I remember Harry Morgan from several shows before M*A*S*H. He also performed a wonderful precursor to his Major General Bartford Hamilton Steele one-off M*A*S*H role in the film What Did You Do in the War, Daddy?. Yes, indeed. I first heard on our BBC Six O'Clock News (it went out at 17:00 UTC), when in about the third headline, and without any prior announcement, they played in a clip from "Sick". Straightaway I thought "Rik Mayall's died" - and so it was. Why would I think that? I've been kinda expecting it ever since his quad bike accident a few years ago; also, I could never imagine him getting old. Last thing that I saw him in was "The Clue of the Savant's Thumb". Opera Imaginaire

I think there's a film from 1993 that should have an article up. The film in question is Opera Imaginaire. It was a French-made film that was quite similar to Fantasia in every way, except the animation is set to various opera arias, such as Rigoletto or Carmen, anything like that... It does. except the segments are in the wrong order. Tosca does indeed come last, but the others are in reverse order I have noticed... I'm glad you enjoyed it Dr. Blofeld! Good catch on the AandD shot. I hadn't thought of that before. Some viewers (and critics) are put off by the long sequence early on where he roams through Tokyo but I find it a fascinating look at the city just four years after the wars end. It is just the third film that Kurosawa and Mifune made together and that makes it a nice bookend with High and Low (1963 film), their penultimate collaboration. The way it ends is such a downer. For me the opening sequence is a tour de force. We get introduced to the main characters and plot lines in such a simple manner. Then they roll in the cake with the black rose in the window! Once in the 90s (when I was still missing a couple films from my collection) and once in the 00s I have watched AKs films in the order that they were released and I find it a remarkable journey thru the life of a filmmaker and artist. Yeah that's a great way to watch films agreed! I do it a lot with actors. I did it with Philip Seymour Hoffman, Monty Clift and Brando a while back. Speaking of Clift Dr. Blofeld I just picked up the Criterion Collection bluray of Red River. Many years ago I read a bio of Clift and it included a letter that he had written to a friend while working on this film. It described what it was like to be around so many testosterone driven men/children. It was quite funny and I wish I could find it again to share with you, Cheers. It is remarkable. Kurosawa and Mifune (as well as many others in front of and behind the camera) in top form. The shift between the claustrophobic first act to the hunt for the kidnapper in the second is as amazing as in any film I've seen. I'm sure that you are aware of this but if you ever get a chance to see them in a theater your appreciation will be enhanced. Also if you ever get the chance to view the Criterion Collection DVDs/Blurays of AK's films their extras include a series called Akira Kurosawa: It is Wonderful to Create. These feature all manner of insights and interviews. I know that we've discussed Ikiru in a different thread so, with your viewing of these three, you can see why I recommend to any friends or acquaintances that they should see more than just his samurai films! Recommendation for my talk page watchers

Hello all. I spent part of this weekend watching 37 Days (TV series). Made as part of the centenary coverage of the beginning of WWI the cast is top notch and the performances were excellent. I am sure that some of the details have been altered for dramatic purposes but they are well presented and I learned a few things that I hadn't known before and that always increases my enjoyment of a series. Now this aired back in March in the UK so some of you will have already seen it. To my knowledge it hasn't aired in the US and I am not sure where it might be presented. PBS us one possibility and BBC America is another. PBS would be preferable as commercials would ruin the flow. You might also be able to find it online somewhere. Did you ping me about this? Sorry! I read it on my iPad, but wanted to reply when I was at my desktop, then darned near forgot. The simple answer, from my understanding, is that it depends on which side of the pond you're on. In American English, it's singular ("My family is…), but in British English, it's plural ("My family are…") as is the case with most collective nouns. On the other hand, in this particular context, family is does sound better. You're really not referring to family in the collective, but as a single unit.
