Cabinet of Donald Trump
[edit]Hi there. You are reversing edits I've made without edit summaries. Let me explain why I have made these decisions. For concerns of horizontal space, shortening some titles is perfectly acceptable. Everybody knows that "RNC" is the acronym for the Republican National Committee; if they don't there's a link to click. "OMB" is a very common abbreviation/acronym for the Office of Management and Budget, and is likely used more than the full name itself. Using "United States" in the title of "Ambassador to the United Nations" is an unnecessary waste of space because the context makes it clear what country the position is for. Same goes with EPA, etc.
Thanks! Spartan7W § 23:02, 26 November 2016 (UTC)
Listen, what else do you want to put in the space that the long version takes up. It sounds better and best of all nobody CARES!! OK
Also, your recent edit of James Mattis' listing is incorrect. He is indeed from Washington State, not Washington DC. -cashorczech — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cashorczech (talk • contribs) 03:53, 5 December 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Stop trying to add external images, you can't just add a copyrighted photo to an article, especially not by just adding the link to it on another website. Calibrador (talk) 22:23, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Charles Hernick, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. JamesG5 (talk) 23:57, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Charles Hernick
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Charles Hernick requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. JamesG5 (talk) 23:12, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Deletion discussion about Charles Hernick
[edit]Hello, Marine678,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Charles Hernick should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Charles Hernick .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
Thanks,
JamesG5 (talk) 01:45, 19 January 2017 (UTC)

[edit]If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Place the following on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Please copy my appeal to the [[WP:AE|arbitration enforcement noticeboard]] or [[WP:AN|administrators' noticeboard]]. Your reason here OR place the reason below this template. ~~~~}}
. If you intend to appeal on the arbitration enforcement noticeboard I suggest you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template on your talk page so it can be copied over easily. You may also appeal directly to me (by email), before or instead of appealing on your talk page. — Coffee // have a cup // beans // 00:59, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
Reminder to administrators: In May 2014, ArbCom adopted the following procedure instructing administrators regarding Arbitration Enforcement blocks: "No administrator may modify a sanction placed by another administrator without: (1) the explicit prior affirmative consent of the enforcing administrator; or (2) prior affirmative agreement for the modification at (a) AE or (b) AN or (c) ARCA (see "Important notes" [in the procedure]). Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."

Disambiguation link notification for April 21
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of United States presidential candidates, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Republican Party. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Please carefully read this information:
The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding all edits about, and all pages related to post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.
Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system.
