License tagging for Image:ADF Ranks.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:ADF Ranks.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:04, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Fleet Admiral Collar Device.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Fleet Admiral Collar Device.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Halopedia

Manticore, I know this is probably not the place to discuss halopedia, but as i was blocked by you yesterday, i cannot contact you on there. That is, in fact, the reason that i am contacting you. I beleve you blocked me because of a personal attack or something of that nature. What i assume you are refering to was a comment about people being ignorant morons on an image. I'm sorry i said this, i just did not want people to change it to navy, which would, in fact, be ignorant. i would love for you to unblock me on halopedia because i would love to continue to contribute and expand halopedia.. I assure you i have no hostile intentions. i even created an article (7.62X51) on my first day on halopedia. My current IP address is 65.188.247.124, and the block ID is #1047. Once again, im sorry for my immature behavior and i will not let it happen again i can assure you. AceKingQueenJack 01:57, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Troll

What? Just because you/Cometstyles/Angela and I had some words on Wikia about the Odyssey Wiki, that automatically makes me a troll? I think not. I take offense to that and I do hope you do not make the same mistake of calling me a troll twice. Once - I can accept, but twice - I take action. Tyler Warren (talk/contribs) 12:52, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

This threat to vandalise qualifies you as a troll, as does your vandalism and abuse of sysop rights on that wiki. Please leave any empty threats at the door. -- Manticore Talk | Contributions 18:08, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Berengarra Logo.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Why am I nothing there? I am blocked for spam, plus revomed from the sysop and bcrat group. Could you elabore on your "spam" summary on the block? Basketball110 My story/Tell me yours 03:11, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

You lot have been warned countless times, yet you still "sneak" in little links like this. I removed your rights following a discussion with other stewards; you have your own test wiki, you don't need this one. -- Manticore (talk) 09:40, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
My own test wiki? Which one is that? And how the hell is that link spam? Also, what is GTFO? Basketball110 My story/Tell me yours 02:40, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
That would be about the one you were spamming. Subtle or not, user-submitted or bot-submitted, it doesn't matter in the end: it's still spam. The Test Wiki is, as the name already states, the test wiki in the community's opinion and we don't need ads about "zOMG BETTER TESTWIKI!!!111one". If you don't like The Test Wiki, you're free to leave, you don't need to spam around the one that is "better" in your opinion. And for the last question, you might want to have a look at the Wiktionary page. --Roosa (talk) 12:25, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
I still don't see how you think that is spam. Steve is the guy's adopter. And I'm sorry if I crossed your precious "url-space." My rights are being robbed here. Basketball110 My story/Tell me yours 22:12, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
If you don't see that, then I can't help you - this remains your problem and yours only. Also, whatever rights you have in mind, you are in error if you think you ever had them. Cheers, Миша13 14:05, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Hey...

The only reason I deleted that page is because I'm gonna get my ass kicked if my school finds it. I made it at my friends house a few hours ago where it was funny...but after getting a detention today I'm not so keen on getting suspended. Yeah, I know I'm being a whiney bitch, but you said it was crap anyway. Noone gets it except people in my German class, and therefore, it is so retarded it must be deleted. I couldn't figure out how to delete the page so I just blanked it.

Apologies, I am a retard. Please delete the piece of crap. 122.49.165.176 (talk) 11:56, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

G'day Wikimedian :-)

Whilst it's quite likely you'll have heard this news on the grapevine, in your email inbox, or even in person - I thought that it was sufficiently exciting to warrant giving each of you a 'new messages' orange bar! This particular orange bar has been brought to you to let you know that Wikimedia Australia is now open for members!

I'm not on the committee or anything, and that's where the credit is due in getting everything to this point, but I think it would be absolutely fantastic for folks who wish to support the australian wiki community, to go ahead and sign up - we're quite likely to be the world's fatest growing chapter at the moment! Join Us :-)

Here's a little more about membership, and the mailing list in particular is well worth signing up to as well, and is a good forum to get answers to any questions answered, or to share any ideas. I've dropped these notes in under my own steam, and you've received one because you're on this list - feel free to ask me any questions, or anything - I can certainly point you in the right direction :-) cheers all, Privatemusings (talk) 04:04, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Infobox

Hi Manticore,

Thanks alot for your response to my question about how to create an infobox for a new article. Yes, I do need Template:Infobox Company. But my question is how to customize it (insert the proper title and heading etc) and then insert it in my article. Or is it supposed to appear there automatically?

Thanks again, Dashakob (talk) 07:59, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Hello Manticore,

I have one more question. How does "Insert a picture gallery" work? Can I just provide links to the necessary images? I was trying to insert a couple of screenshots of the games in my article, but failed to do it.

Dear Manticore - instead of continuing to express your views on the APS Wikipage perhaps you should consider setting up your own organisation's page Nik50382 (talk) 23:40, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Dear Manticore - I don't believe that it is vandalism to be including the factual and verifiable positions of this organisation on its own page. Your are welcome to start a new page on psychology training if you wish but you are appear to be trying misrepresent the APS views in your 'controversy' section and using biased newspaper references some of which were bordering on slander. It is also difficult for me to understand if you are not a member of this new organisation why are promoting it as alternative in the material you keep posting? Why not take a positive step and begin something new on psychology training standards where your views could be discussed on a more appropriate page. Nik50382 Nik50382 (talk) 09:28, 18 April 2010 (UTC)

Dear Manticore - I haved removed the controversy section because it is not factual and supported with newspaper references that as previously stated border on slanderous and should not disseminated vai secondary websites. You are trying to use the APS entry to promote another organsation and that is vandalism. The statements that I have placed on the site are the factual positions of the APS. You can edit these statements if you believe they are inaccurate -although I would find it hard to understand how you can do that considering these are public documents.
