[edit]Hey, this is a geniune and wide spread belief about Austin St. John, it shouldn't be removed. A simple internet search using http://www.google.com will reveal countless hits of pages that believe it to be true. It belongs on his page, for both posterity, and to prove to others that he is not one in the same with this gay actor.
http://gayredpowerranger DOT ytmnd DOT com is one an example of the image that is WIDELY spread around the internet, claiming they are the same man.

HELP ME PLEASE
[edit]I am new to Wiki. I researched and even interviewed the person I wrote an article about. I titled the article Troy Hobza. He is a Profesional Wrestling Ring Announcer for MWA Professional Wrestling on TV. It wasn;t any more than 20 minutes later and some warning appeared on my artcile stating that it was going to be deleted. This is why I left Wiki before. Because I cant communicate with anyone on here. Everything I wrote about Troy hobza was completely factual and there is no reason to delete the article. I put alot of time and effort into the article. Please tell me how to fix this so my article doesnt get deleted. Please?

[edit]ok thanks for advice, but why cant we put 2008 movies even if they're confirmed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ndrwatthedisco (talk • contribs)
- We don't want to put things too early. Things starting in 2008 can change before then. Titles, air dates and more can change. When its gets within a few months of airing OR commercials start airing it's able to be added. Theres also a chance of the movie going nowhere and not actually airing at all. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 02:45, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Minor edits
[edit]Malevious, a bit of advice: I notice that many of your contributions are marked as "minor edits" but are reverts or undos. Per Help:Minor edit, however, a minor edit is a "...typo corrections, formatting and presentational changes, rearranging of text without modifying content, et cetera. A minor edit is a version that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute." Though you may disagree with a user's contributions and regard them as vandalism, nonsense or information-cruft, reverting anyone's additions is likely subject to review and may be subject to a dispute. Indeed, "...any change that affects the meaning of an article is not minor, even if the edit is a single word." May I suggest that you only mark edits as minor when they fail within the criteria set out at Help:Minor edit? Regards, Iamunknown 06:41, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Too Ealry?
[edit]- I don't understand, how is that a legitimate reason for something? I mean if it has been announced and confirmed by the actors, then what matters? Its encylopedic information and I don't think that "too early" is a reason for anything. The article has sources. So...WHY? Jtervin 01:53, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- Because things change over time. In a years time a lot can change. Something in 2008 can't be added. There is a high chance of, title change or even being scraped. And you can't just add things because an actor confirmed it. Unless its either coming up really soon, or you've seen advertisements on TV, then its too early to add things. WP:CRYSTAL says you can't add things that are not 100% positive. If you tell me exactly which thing I took out I can tell you my exact reasoning why I took it out. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 01:56, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- The Cheetah Girls 3 from the Disney Channel Original Movies. It's been confirmed, they're working on researching India and Bollywood RIGHT NOW and they start rehearsals in like November, and begin shooting in January. Then they will film through March and the film will be another SO HOT SUMMER thing. Jtervin 16:20, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- Adding something for the summer over 2008 is way too far in advanced. There are so many things that could change before then. Its over a year away. There's no guarantee that it will be made or that it will be called The Cheetah Girls 3. When it gets closer to the movie being aired, or commercials start playing for it like HSM2, then I'm all for readding it. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 19:00, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Making these article redirects has been discussed and decided upon at the Administrators' Noticeboard; please don't revert — and giving no edit-summary and calling your revert a minor edit make your action even more disruptive. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 23:12, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

I would like to know where you discussed redirecting episode pages to the list, because it certainly isnt at WP:EPISODE. Tone
[edit]First, the linked WikiProject said nothing about tone; secondly, WikiProjects don't override the Manual of Style (it's the other way round); thirdly, what is it about the language that you think I'm referring to? As you haven't bothered to ask, I assume that you're certain you know. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 10:00, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- There is nothing on the manual of style page about list of episodes. It is written the same as any other list of epsiodes, even ones who has featured list status. If it's the same as pages at FL status how is it not written in the correct "tone"? --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 16:40, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- You seem to be making my point for me — that lists of episodes are no different from any other article, and thus should be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopædia. Use of slang terms like "guy" isn't appropriate. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 21:33, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- Where do you see slag terms? And last I checked guy isn't a slang term. And even if you consider it a slang term it's used once, which you easily could've fixed. Tell me what you consider slang terms and I'll remove them for you. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 22:16, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

Why don't you wait until someone whose first language is English, and who can tell the difference between formal and slang English, can overhaul it? I'll do it myself when I get a chance, if no-one beats me to it. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 23:08, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- My first language is English and I'm an English major so I think I'd know the difference between formal and slang and I haven't noticed any slang. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 23:23, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- That you think that "guy" isn't slang trumps your other claims.
- Tell me, can you find any other reference work, any academic work even, that uses "guys" to refer to men?
- The list (in common, it's true, with many other lists relating to children's and adolescents' interests) is generally written poorly; the use of slang is only part of it. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 09:25, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, you probably think that I'm being stubborn for the hell of it, but if anything things are a bit worse, with sections like: "Zack overhears Maddie saying she likes a boy but there is an age difference and think she means him. Your RfA
[edit]I think it would help you to look at WP:BITE and WP:AGF, because these are important guidelines for users, especialy administrators to follow. And comments like "The edit was made by an admin who has more authority on the matter than you do. End of story." would be considered biting, I think. If this RfA doesn't pass, I would encourage you to work on those guidelines and eventually re-apply, and will wish you good luck on that.--U.S.A. cubed 19:57, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit]I have added references to the three books I have writen for when employed at The Onion. I will be adding more non-Onion material soon when I can get dates/ISBN numbers organized. If there is a better way to cite this information, please let me know. Thank you. SpyMagician 19:57, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- I looked at it again. What makes these books notable? Anyone can write a book but that doesn't mean they deserve and article. So far the only sourced claim for notability is the webby. And if this article is about you, you should not be working on it at all. That is a serious COI issue. You've already been into 1 edit war over it you should refrain from editing it and let others do the work. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 20:02, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- Wow. Quite an odd response. The books are notable because I was an author of them and they are directly connected to The Onion website which is a major comedy source online and one of the first comedy sites to make the transition from web to book-world back in the day. While I understand COI, might I point out that the editor I got into a conflict war about it (Chris Griswold) has a massive COI when it comes to Friday Nite Improvs. If you're going to chastize me over COI in my article, can you please explain to me why Friday Nite Improvs is not a COI based on Chris Griswold's sole involvement with the group[1]? —SpyMagician 20:08, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- I am not an admin and I don't investigate COI. If you have a problem with another editor violating COI bring it up at WP:COIN. A book being written by you (who's notability is in question) doesn't make them notable. Being about a notable subject doesn't make them notable. Find multiple news articles that write about you (or the books) and use them to source the article. Then notability will be established. As well I looked 2 of the books you listed and neither of them list you as a writer or illustrator. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 20:14, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

LessHeard vanU's RfA
[edit]Hello. I'm writing to invite you to reconsider your opposition on the RfA of LessHeard vanU. It's not that I have a particular stake in it and it's not like it's likely to matter much given the support he's receiving but opposing on the basis that the candidate does not have a full map of the work he intends to do as an admin is quite simply and really has little to do with the RfA process which should be about a particular user's experience, trustworthiness and behaviour on Wikipedia. If I recall, your answer to that very same question 1 in your RfA was pretty vague and that wasn't held against you (as far as I remember). Pascal.Tesson 02:46, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- The way I interpreted his answer to Q1 was that he just wants the tools just to have them. The main things he said he would do are things he doesn't need the tools to do. I personally can't support a person who gives me the impression of just wanting the tools to have them. If you can convince me he is an outstanding candidate, I'll gladly switch to neutral, or even support, but currently I'm staying as oppose.
- After find some difs posted by another editor, I cannot support this editor. Those who disregard the safety of a minority group simply because they are a minority group don't deserver the mop and bucket. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 04:41, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hmmm, I came here to thank you for your participation in my successful RfA and to ask if there was any particular area you think a new sysop would be useful (being your initial concern). The thanks and enquiry stand.
- Another editor also commented, at the time, regarding my position in respect of the liklihood of physical danger from authorities should they have their identities revealed. This is the explanation I gave (you already may have seen it)
You are right, it cannot be "known", but the likelihood is very slight. A citizen of a non English speaking nation, editing the en-Wikipedia on a subject which is a sensitive matter for their culture, being exposed on a non-Wiki (English language) site and then being discovered by an authority from the non-English speaking nation... there are far too many variables to justify an extension of policy on that basis. My other assumption is that the English speaking cultures are not prone to execute citizens for holding opinions outside of the excepted norms. LessHeard vanU 13:05, 9 May 2007 (UTC)</bockquote>
- I am not talking about minority cultures or groups but about individuals. It would be impossible, IMO, to provide an encyclopedia with any great range of material if we were constrained by the potential harm to an individual editor by their State whose identity might be disclosed by an off-wiki site. Even if such an editor is outed (and as these sites are generally 'scandal mongers' more interested in personality issues than subject matter this would be extremely unlikely) then linking the site or not is unlikely to be a factor in whether this comes to the attention of the authorities.
- Also, as I am not US-centric, I included the UK, Australia & New Zealand, Eire, Canada, and South Africa as cultures who do not seek out and execute/imprison individuals who hold views contrary to official ones. I suppose there may be a case for Zimbabwe, and some other countries where English is the second (or business) language. However, I would still maintain that the amount of variables required to come about to make this a matter over which policy making should be concerned is too considerable. You may have a different opinion.
- To end, thank you again for your contribution to my RfA. If you need a wet behind the ears sysop, you can call on me. LessHeard vanU 21:43, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- I understand completely that while most English speaking countries no long threaten citizens with differing opinions, (though I do not know the laws/languages of every country), but not all English speaking people live in an English speaking country. There is always the chance that a user is specifically editing on En-wiki so that their chances of being identified by their government is slim. I was not involved in the debate, but from what I read, my understanding was this debate was over posting links to attack sites and other sites used to identify or harm editors, and editors felt we needed a stricter policy to deal with such events. (If I am wrong in this understanding please let me know). I personally feel editors safety should be one of the highest priorities here, for if editors feel they are not safe contributing they may not and we could lose valuable editors.
- I do congratulate you on a successful RfA. Contacting opposing editors about their concerns shows that you really do care about improving your editing and the encyclopedia in general. Regarding areas a sysop could be of use, they always need some people helping with the backlog especially at CAT:CSD. My original concern with your answer to Q1 was that it appeared you only wanted the tools just to have them. You do otherwise seem like an excellent editor who even when other editors have a difference of opinon, remains civil. Happy Editing :) --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 23:10, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- Your understanding is correct, the debate is over linking to sites which contain attack pages/attack sites. I was opining that an argument for blanket banning involving state sponsored retribution was an appeal to emotion rather than statistical probability. Editor security is important to me too, but I feel there needs to be a balance between what is possible and retains WP's ability to source the best references and what is desirable but constrains WP.
- I will look over CAT:CSD. I am not so hot on technical stuff, but perhaps this is an opportunity to learn. Speaking of learning, I believe you can get far more relevant information from those who disagree (and say why) than sometimes from those who simply say "I concur". Which is to say, thanks. Catch you around. LessHeard vanU 00:04, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit]What the hell is up with you & Ned Scott deleting episodes of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody? Maybe you haven't read that Ned's excuse for deleting it was unjustified. ---- DanTD 16:33, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- Maybe you haven't read WP:CIVIL. Barely any of these episodes pass WP:EPISODE. I don't have time right now to go through them all and work on them. Leave them as a redirect and work on it before you remake the page. I'm not going through another AfD over this. I fought for them once and won, now editors are at it again and no one has even attempted to fix these episodes. I'm not fighting for them again until someone gets off their ass and actually attempts to clean them up. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 17:40, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- I've read WP:EPISODE, don't see how this is a "problem article." From what I remember Ned removed it on May 10, with the following tag: "expand when there is something more than plot summary." There was something more than the plot summary. ---- DanTD 20:47, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, trivia. When you can add more info to it, you can put it back. Just having a plot summary, cast/crew, and trivia isn't enough for an article. Though I don't agree with their guidelines I'm enforcing them. If you can add some info to it that can be sourced, do it and I won't argue with it. Hell, I'd be happy if it was a statement about what cast/crew member thought about the episode as long as it's sourced. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 21:17, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, fair enough. But I'd like to point out that I did add links, extended the lead paragraph, and the current image(which I uploaded)was a replacement for the previously deleted image. I also added a description of that image in the last revival. ---- DanTD 23:33, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for contributing at my recent request for adminship. A few issues were brought up there. I would like to tell you that I am not anti-gay. The creation of the userbox was for other users. If I was, I would have used the userbox within my own userspace. Nor do I seek power; just more ways to help the goals of Wikipedia. Listen to yourself. That comeback probably took you ages to complete. Your country produces more fuel than the rest of the world and your dumbass president isnt doing anything worthwile. Your country sucks.
When I removed the "Almost all of the primary cast of High School Musical have appeared ..." text, there were 3 exceptions, and 3 of 6 is not most. You changed that to 2 exceptions, which I agree with you classifies as most. I wonder if the phrase "Almost all" is correct though? Enjoy your Wikipedia break. Truthanado 15:50, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
- The original sentence listed Olesya Rulin as being one of the primary members to not appear. According to the HSM article she isn't a primary cast member so I took her out. I believe there were 2 other cast members of HSM to appear on the show too, but I forget their names. - To be perfectly blunt: yes. Next up for deletion will be supporting articles (characters, main artifacts, etc). Main articles will remain because there can be absolutely no justification for removing television series main articles. It has been tried. As I'm dealing with over on a Stargate article, it might be a good idea to archive all the Charmed articles and re-establish them over on a Wikia site (have I discussed this before?). -- Huntster T • @ • C 17:16, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Postscript to this
[edit]Malevious,
The anon you reported to AIV, whom I later blocked, for his consistent reversion of your removal of his unsourced additions to Dylan and Cole Sprouse, wrote to me after it expired. I wrote back explaining myself, and as I did it occurred to me that I ought to remind you to not bite newcomers, not in the sense that you were discourteous or uncivil to him but that you might have checked and seen that, even though an anon, had >50 edits and that you didn't necessarily need to assume the worst. Like so many newcomers, he didn't understand policy, and if you had realized that and done something a bit gentler with his edits like tag them with {{fact}} instead of deleting them outright and more patiently explained why you might have been a bit concerned with why he should wait till he had a source for that, it might not have escalated to the point where an AIV report was necessary.
You were right to bring it there, as an edit war was developing. But we should have been able to leave ourselves more of a choice. Just a reminder to think about how you can resolves things like this better next time. Daniel Case 03:49, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
- I treated it initially as vandalism, as many IP users attack that page with derogatory info about them (as with all child actors). He was repeatedly asked to provide a valid source for the information, which he simply said "its exists." and readds it without supplying the source. In my last warning I specifically asked him to provide a source for the information before he readds it, yet he ignored me and added it unsourced anyway. If it was some obscure fact, I would've been alright with simply adding a {{fact}} tag, but info that is unsourced AND rude/vandalism-type doesn't belong in articles, in my opinion. If he had simply provided a valid source for his statement, I wouldn't have had a problem with it at all, but with the waves of anon vandals who attack the page, it's becomes hard to assume good faith to every new editor who says they're gay or they're ugly, ect. I could've sworn I used my template for unsourced info on him though, unless it was another IP that added the same statement that I'm thinking of. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 04:41, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Arwin! and others
[edit]You recently deleted multiple shows on the List of Disney Channel series, and you added the comment that Arwin! was cancelled. First off, please provide a source that states this. If no source can be provided, then this a rumor and Arwin! should remain on the list. Second off, you removed the entire sectino for 2008, including 3 shows. Please be careful when you make edits. For more discussion on the topic of Arwin! being cancelled, please see Talk:Arwin! (TV series) --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 23:50, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- They were removed for a reason. Each of those series lack a reliable source for there air date. When you can provide a source for when they are going to air, then I will have no problem with readding these series. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 23:55, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- FYI, I didn't add the info in the beginning, I simply reverted it. I don't think that was the appropriate template to use on my talk page. Anyway, I can see that the List of Disney Channel series is used for current shows, and confirmed shows. You should have stated this when you edited it, so it would have been more clear. As for Arwin! being cancelled - that's where I believe your just running your mouth. There have been sources that have stated this show may possibly air, but if it's really cancalled, PLEASE GIVE A SOURCE! Thank you. :) --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 00:01, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- I removed the part of Arwin! being canceled. That comment was added by an anon user and I simply reverted to that version. This time though, I removed that statement. From what I've heard though, the series was canceled or postponed as it was originally supposed to air in 07, but the Suite Life was renewed for a 3rd season. I added the warning to your talk page out of habit, with the amount of users who add unconfirmed shows on that page daily, it was merely bad faith on my part, and for which I apologize. The page is not just for confirmed shows, as it appears that those shows are indeed confirmed, but for shows that have confirmed air dates. If they are set to air sometime in 2008, much could happen that can lead to them never airing and as such it violates WP:CRYSTAL. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 00:07, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- That's all understandable, and no hard feelings. I think there should be a note on the list page that states that it only lists shows with confirmed air dates, to prevent this from happening in the future. Do you agree? --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 02:39, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

I saw that you recently made a reversion on this article. Part of what you reverted, though, was correct. That's So Raven ended in Febuary 2007 and no new episodes are scheduled. - Please sign your posts. If you continue to argue with me and leave unsigned comments on my talk page, I will lose patience with you and begin ignoring your comments. For the show to be considered a Disney Channel Original Series, especially on the list, the show needs to air more than a single, sneak peak, episode. Both of the sources you provided contradict each other. One says Winter 2008 the other says March 2008. I would prefer we wait until a source comes out listing an exact month especially when a lot can change in over a year, but I'm not going to start an edit war with you over it. Also please leave Phineas and Ferb and Wizards of Waverly Place off the DCOS template. The template is for current and past shows, not future. You removed my addition to the article, saying it wasn't menitoned on the page. It appears in "Act Four: My Other Dog's a German Shepherd." Unfortunately, the page doesn't say which TV show he is referring to, but if you listen to the recording offered on the page, he says it (it is a radio show, after all). If you don't want to pay the 95 cents to find out, look at the numerous references to it that I didn't cite because they aren't quite reliable sources: [4], [5], [6]. Unfortunately reliable sources are not always free. This should be included in the article because it offers an adult perspective on the show, by somebody whose job is relevant here (as a love/sex columnist). I don't think that WP:V requires that sources be in print (meaning, I think broadcasts can be cited), nor that they be free, although of course such a source would be preferred. By the way, I appreciate that the page gets a lot of vandalism and you're just trying to prevent more, but I do think this is verifiable and notable. Rigadoun (talk) 17:26, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:FullmetalFantasy.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:FullmetalFantasy.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:10, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of International Black Belt Federation
[edit]An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is International Black Belt Federation. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/International Black Belt Federation. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:03, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
