Thanks for uploading Image:Guarapiranga sunset.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Guaraipiranga sunset.JPG. The copy called Image:Guaraipiranga sunset.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Image copyright problem with Image:Pete maravich.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Pete maravich.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
OK fine, i'll stop commenting..... for now atleast. well ive had fun so.... i guess i'll be back later or something..... uhhhh cya i guess.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.242.176.68 (talk) 22:07, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to User talk:220.233.118.181. Readers looking for serious articles will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write (almost) whatever you want. Macy(talk)22:45, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually it was not joke edit, it was actually very seriuos. I was just very angry. Sorry for that. However, I have seen it work, many vandalizers stopped vandalizing. Idontknow610TM22:47, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the first edit day message. It's nice to look back, and nice to know I'm still remembered around here, even if it's just because I put my name on a calendar somewhere! :-) All the best, Dar-Ape08:22, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Rmrfstar. I am translating Roman Vishniac, which you promoted to a featured article status, to the Portuguese language Wikipedia. The Portuguese language Wikipedia does not allow Fair-use images, if you want to upload a photo there you must upload it in Wikimedia Commons (which allows only free images). All of the photographs in the article Roman Vishniac are crucial for the article in Portuguese but most of them are fair-use. I have noticed that you are (or were) trying to contact Mara Vishniac for her to authorize the free usage of the photographs. I want to ask if you contacted her or if you are ever going to do so. (Please respond in my talk page) Thank you, Idontknow610TM22:08, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I did indeed try to get freely licensed photos from Mara when writing Roman Vishniac... I did not succeed. What you see in the English article is what you get, unless you can get Mara to change her mind (you have as good a chance as I). Thanks for translating, by the way! Sorry I can't help you. -- Rmrfstar (talk) 07:20, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi I dontknow610 Many thanks for the improvements on the page Khniss. I removed the noref because i added references. I am still not very acquainted with editing in wiki but I will with time.
Thanks indeed--fethi 22:22, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
thanks for your note. I don't believe i've survived one year of adminship already! Time flies so it seems. :) Have a really nice day, dear buddy. --PeaceNT (talk) 15:24, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for uploading Image:Corrie ten Boom.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

Hi, I'm very pleased to see that you're taking an interest in the FAC process, since you're clearly a devoted Wikipedian. However, a large proportion of your comments tend to be uncritical and not what we'd call "substantive"; that is, they're one-liners that merely endorse previous reviewers' comments or contain praise (even criticisms) without elaboration. In this process, they like to see evidence that you've critically read the article in relation to the criteria. Citing specific examples of issues is often good, or holding back if you've nothng to add to previous reviewers' comments. I see "perfect to me" in one place; but ... it's not, in my opinion.
Again, it's great to see your interest; but perhaps you might take a more careful approach to reviewing. And did you know that WP:Featured list candidates are there to be reviewed? They are typically much shorter, and might provide a good foundation for building up your reviewing skills. The criteria are just as important there, but are much more user-friendly. Thanks for uploading Image:Museu se Ipiranga.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Thanks for uploading Image:A wrinkle in time digest 2007.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Greetings Idontknow610, I see you're up for adoption, and I'm in the market. If ever you need advice or answers, just ask me -- any question, any time. I'd like to help however I can. Happy editing - Draeco (talk) 16:28, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Idontknow610! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 257 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
Thanks, that looks convincingly in favour of April 11. Maybe you could put at least one of the sources as a reference to his date of death, otherwise others might change it again, OK? - DonCalo (talk) 18:52, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Other question. I don't know if you are from Brazil, but just in case how would you translate: Castor, homem educado, risonho e popular, era poderoso de fato, mas - à semelhança dos demais - tinha como anteparo Kalil Petrus Kalil, o Turcão, este sim o maior banqueiro de descarga do Rio de Janeiro: discreto, respeitado entre os pares e conhecido pela severidade e eficiência nas ações sob seu comando. Thanks for your help. - DonCalo (talk) 18:57, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I don't know if you want to get involved (and I fully understand if you won't), but there has been quite a dispute on the article on the bicheiro Antonio Petrus Kalil, a.k.a. Turcao (you can follow the discussion on the Talk page and see my latest version here). You are probably one of the few people on Wikipedia who understands the jogo do bicho and the people involved with the game. Maybe you can have a look at it and comment here. However, I will undertand if you don't want get involved in this mess. I am giving up. - DonCalo (talk) 17:43, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I fully understand your reluctance. It is quite messed up. However, your assessment of the sources is very useful. Since all other editors do not really understand Portuguese and the issue of the jogo do bicho, your assessment of the sources is very helpful to get a proper understanding of what we are dealing with here. - DonCalo (talk) 03:11, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:
If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at File talk:Museu Ipiranga.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.orgor a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on File talk:Museu Ipiranga.jpg.

Hello, I'm Jamesx12345. I noticed that you recently removed all content from User:Nadir David Steinmetz, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jamesx12345 (talk) 21:29, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
