My link has been removed again!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_painting
[edit]My link (instead of a photo) has been removed. The link was to http://www.jncohen.net/Spirit_of_Spring.htm
Please can you suggest what I can do to enable readers to view what is a very different form of 'Painting with Light' since I am not prepared to give away my image copyright.
Most disappointed. I have three links from that page (one of them was back to Wikipedia) would the page be allowed without the link to my 'Painting with Light' page? The other link is to my free article describing how to do it, must that link go too?
Or were the links removed because of the way I had added them? I did ask you for help, but had no response.
Please let me know how to improve this for your readers.
Thanks John N. Cohen (talk) 19:27, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
I have replaced the same link but I have removed the link to my 'Painting with Light' page. So the link is to http://www.jncohen.net/Spirit_of_Spring.htm
Please let me know if this page is now acceptable. Thanks, John (talk) 15:59, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
This last link has been removed again!!! What can I do in order for readers to see some examples without giving up my copyright??? I feel at a loss to understand why my link keeps being removed. Can you please help me? John N. Cohen (talk) 19:03, 25 June 2010 (UTC)John N. Cohen (talk) 19:06, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
Userboxes
[edit]As you might have noticed, I have started populating my user profile with userboxes. Several problems have come to my attention:
- so far, my main resource has been the Userbox Gallery; only now do I realize that it is missing a lot of existing userboxes (here is an example.) Is there any way to consolidate the gallery/centralize userboxes so as to make it easier to find existing userbox? Do you know who I should talk to about this?
- when one types 'userbox' in the search bar, no result related to Wikipedia userboxes comes up... wouldn't it be a good idea to fix that?
- on the French version of Wikipedia, there is often a button inside the box that links to a category that lists all the users who added the box in question to their profile. Is there an easy way to make this happen on the English version of Wikipedia?
I understand these are tough questions... but I just thought I would ask and see what you have to say. Thank you so much for your time and help!

Hey Draeco, I'm trying to get this article up to good article status, but I need an experienced editor to review it to see if that is feasible, and if the article is off to a good start, if you get a chance. Thanks Zonafan39 (talk) 03:05, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
(I am aware that the intro and aftermath sections are too short and the article needs many more citations, I'm just trying to see if this article can be improved to GA status)

Adopt-a-user reminder
[edit]Hello, I have completed a general cleanup of the adopter information page for the adopt-a-user project, located here. During my cleanup, I have removed several inactive and retired users. In order to provide interested adoptees with an easy location to find adopters, it is essential that the page be up-to-date with the latest information possible. Thus:
- If you are no longer interested in being an adopter, please remove yourself from the list.
- If you are still interested, please check the list to see if any information needs to be updated or added - especially your availability. Thank you.
- You are receiving this message because you are listed as an adopter here.

WikiProject Intertranswiki

The project has since ceased activity but is currently being given a kick start due to its importance and the coordination needed to translate content from other wikipedias. If you're still active and are still interested please visit the bottom of Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Intertranswiki and add a {{tick}} by your name within the next week so the project can do a recount and update. Peer review invitation
[edit]Hello Jacob,
I am editor-in-chief of a project in development in Wikiversity called Wikiversity Journal of Medicine (more information at Wikiversity Journal of Medicine/About).
I'd very much appreciate if you did a peer review of an article that was submitted to this journal:
This is essentially a shortened version of the Wikipedia article on that subject, in own words.
The peer review is preferably written in the corresponding talk page, and should include a declaration of any conflicts of interests. Comments should be constructive, include both strengths and areas for improvement, and be referenced whenever possible. Otherwise, the journal has no strict rules regarding the structure and length of a peer review. Still, more guidelines for peer reviewers can be found at: Wikiversity Journal of Medicine/Peer reviewers.
We prefer peer reviews to be returned within 3 weeks, and appreciate in any case a reply regarding whether you are interested or not in this contribution.
Best regards,
Mikael Häggström (talk) 08:21, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
- For an update, the article is now peer reviewed. Mikael Häggström (talk) 15:54, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
