Orphaned fair use image (Image:Free3.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Free3.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. MECU≈talk 02:05, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:KIMBOLOGO.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:KIMBOLOGO.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:43, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 11
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mansfield Wilkinson, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Louth and Cadwell. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:58, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
Hello, Madlyn. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Mansfield Wilkinson, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
- edit the page
- remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

[edit]Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Jack Monroe, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 09:53, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
wp:consensus on talk:Jack Monroe is for gender-neutral language. Please discuss on talk:Jack Monroe and get consensus before changing. Please wp:cite sources supporting your points. See help:talk pages. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 09:55, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
The file File:MADLYN.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 1 August 2019 (UTC)
Threatened deletion
[edit]Why threaten to delete my page? I contribute wherever possible on Wikipedia, usually spelling and grammatical errors rather than meaty content, but I see it being just as important in the making of a professional looking website. I feel insulted that my contributions to Wikipedia are seen as so meaningless that I am lined up to be deleted. Please reconsider. I know my hurt feelings do not affect you in any way but my page does not harm you in any way, shape or form. LJ Ray Sutton Bridge (talk) 00:08, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
Sutton Bridge Cross Keys Bridge / Golden Compass
[edit]Hi Madlyn,
If you cast your mind back a long long time, it seems you were the originator of the edit that added the Cross Keys Bridge as a filming location for the film The Golden Compass (film) [1]. Does this ring a bell? Did/do you have a source or citation? I cannot find anything saying this (except published after this edit which were probably using Wikipedia as a source). I even watched the film yesterday specifically looking for the Cross Keys bridge and could not see it or anything like it on screen. Ziegacie (talk) 10:18, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
- I watched the filming of the Golden Compass beside the River Nene but I haven't watched the actual film. I had completely forgotten about it but seem to recall my son saying he didn't see the bridge or the Dutch Barge type boat which was included in the filming. I specifically remember in filming were some children/young adults around a fire at the side of the river. It wasn't an actual fire though, it had a small calor gas bottle attached to it and they extinguished it between takes. They filmed lots of takes which involved a helicopter keep swooping in for the shot but maybe they did run out of time as for each shot, the boat had to be towed back to where it started, the people would traipse off along with their calor fire and the helicopter would land elsewhere, perhaps near Bakkavor at Sutton Bridge. Eventually it got too dark and the tide meant the river would start to drop. Maybe they couldn't get everything right. If they miss a Spring tide, its a whole month before there is another tide which is as high. LJ Ray Sutton Bridge (talk) 08:54, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
