File permission problem with File:Kumaylallooportrait.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Kumaylallooportrait.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ✗plicit 00:03, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for your contributions to Tilawah. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 00:43, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, MZ123455. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Kumayl Alloo, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 08:14, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi ToBeFree. I represent the Imam Mahdi Association of Marjaeya (I.M.A.M.), but am not receiving or expecting to receive any form of compensation for my work. fijd29urqgnjrpi\ 16:32, 13 June 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello MZ123455. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Kumayl Alloo, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:MZ123455. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=MZ123455|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 08:15, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi ToBeFree. I am not being compensated in any way for my edits. I represent the Imam Mahdi Association of Marjaeya (I.M.A.M.), and we wanted to highlight an individual we know has achieved enough notability to warrant a Wiki article. fijd29urqgnjrpi\ 16:28, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice:
{{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Request reason:
I recently created an account on Wikipedia to help contribute to the growing literature around Shia Islam. I drafted my first article about Kumayl Alloo and continued working on the article after I moved it to the mainspace. To consistently work on it and develop my proficiency in Wikipedia, I created different accounts on the different devices I own. I would mostly work on the wiki article through my laptop (with the username MZ123455), but would also occasionally use my tablet (username تنظيم إمام) and phone (username نظام إقرأ) as well. I did not know that doing so was against Wikipedia's rules, and I apologize. I promise to not repeat this mistake again; in fact, I would like my other two accounts to be deleted if possible. I sincerely request that my account be unblocked, so that I can continue contributing positively to Wikipedia. As for my first article, I would like to have my editing privileges reinstated for it, so that I can rewrite it in a more neutral, less promotional manner. The way I wrote the article originally led a Wikipedia editor to believe the article was self-promotional, or that I was getting compensated for my work. None of this is true. I have learned from the mistakes from my first article, and wish to rectify them in that first article itself. Thank you fijd29urqgnjrpi\ 19:54, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action, or you have not responded to questions raised during that time. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 18:54, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- I personally think that the provided explanation is strongly at odds with the technical data. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:57, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
- Again, just to sum up, I understand what I did wrong, promise to not do it again, and promise to instead continue contributing positively to Wikipedia. fijd29urqgnjrpi\ 03:33, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
- I do believe that you know what you did wrong, but you knew it when doing it already, you knew it when lying in the unblock request and you have proposed nothing else than continuing your promotion. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:15, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
- No, I can assure you that I did not know it was wrong while doing it (I recently joined Wikipedia), and that I will not promote or engage with this any further. If possible, could I please request that the article be deleted completely altogether, even from the draft space? Hopefully that clarifies that I wish to do nothing wrong any further. fijd29urqgnjrpi\ 22:26, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but after what I have seen so far, I find it unlikely that unblocking you would lead to productive, non-promotional edits. You joined Wikipedia over 7 months ago for promotion (Special:Diff/1183671992) and that was the main purpose of your Wikipedia editing ever since. When your draft was rejected, you pushed it into mainspace against the reviewer's concerns, made a lot of tiny edits (edit count inflation?) and created two sockpuppet accounts to be able to continue promoting with an impression of multiple people being independently interested in the article's growth, to evade scrutiny or whatever the idea was – it wasn't having an account per device. I believe that having noticed and stopped this was an improvement to the encyclopedia and I personally won't undo that improvement. Your unblock request is at CAT:RFU and someone will provide an independent opinion reviewing the request; this may just take some time. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 00:14, 15 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, I am sorry for what I have done and will not engage with it any further. If I am blocked indefinitely, could I at least request that the article be removed and deleted completely, even from the draftspace? I wished to edit the draft and fix the writing style mistakes, but couldn't as I was blocked. fijd29urqgnjrpi\ 17:50, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
- Abandoned drafts are typically automatically removed under speedy deletion G13 after six months. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 19:25, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
